Di Marzio Yesterday

Marotta and Paratici continue to work to define the details of the agreement with Manchester United for the transfer of Paul Pogba to England.

DEFINE the DETAILS of the agreement = THE FEE TO BE DETERMINED

Di Marzio Today

at the moment the 110 million euros plus 10 in bonuses offered by the red devils are not enough

What Di Marzio reported is only a continuation of what we knew hours ago.

For the sake of my sanity at 8pm on a Sunday night, i hope most people are in agreement with me :lol:

Juventus have sold Morata for €30 million and spent €32 million Pjanic, €23 million on Pjaca, €4 million on Benatia with option to buy at €20 million for next year and now they have decided to pay Higuain's release clause which is €94 million. Are folks really naive to believe that Juve can afford to spend this kind of money without selling? Zaza's and Pererya's won't reduce their net spend significantly which would be over €120 million.

Pogba is going to be sold and we need to be patient, Madrid can't afford to pay the fee and it's up to us to come to terms with Juve however long that may take. Only worrying part is if we've met Juve's valuation and now they've backpedalled on it and want more.

Juve must really be posturing now. If they are actually asking for more money, then start putting out strong rumours from our end that we are going after someone else and will not go through with the Pogba deal. Make sure they've already committed to Napoli fully, and then leave them there to think on where to find the money to pay for Higuain.

We should never ever ever do any deals with Juve again. Not to even sell them a piece of shit. Irritating bastards.
No.

They have good players that we can continue to poach.

We didn't make it easy for Madrid when they wanted to sign DE Gea or even Ronaldo (they had to pay the entire fee upfront). Why should Juve lie down for us?

Guys, it's Sunday. A day of rest. Go home, come back tomorrow.

This is the biggest transfer of the Summer.
Probably the highest transfer fee in history.
Pogba will become one of our most important players for years to come.

There will be no days off. There will be no rest until Pogba is signed OR Juve conclude that they are keeping him!!!

:p

I'd imagine that the sticking point is the same as it was two days ago - The 20% fee agreed between Juve & Raiola - and not Juve wanting even more money, as some are now believing. It's clear that all parties have split, likely to reevaluate their position on the matter. Ed back with the club. Raiola with his client.

It wouldn't surprise me to see us hash out a deal with Raiola whereby he forgoes this 20% for the time being to get the transfer done and then makes it back from us at some point.

Putting it another way, if Juventus buy Higuain and don't sell Pogba, they'll be in administration very soon.
It's done.

Juventus isn't going to go in administration because they spend €94m

They are an economical club that doesn't spend money they don't have to spend but they are a very healthy club, in the CL every year, winning the title every year, never spend that much in the market, don't have silly wages on their books, they might not have monster deals like we do with Chevy and Addidas but they do have sponsors and do actually make quite alot of money from them. I'am sure they have more financial reserves than €94m to prevent them for going into administration and if not Italy's most afluent industrial family, the Agneli's would prevent it from happening anyway.

If they announce Higuain before Pogba deal is sealed then they don't need to sell him without going into administration. That is not to say they won't sell him, because as I said they are a very economical club that doesn't spend all their cash just like that but it is a mile away from putting yourself in a position of possible administration

Juve are playing hard to get so the fanbase doesnt get pissed off. Deals done.

Some of you folks need to chill

Wouldn't it be much more logical Juve would be waiting for the Pogba deal before they conlude the Higuain deal ?

I mean in the logical order of first making sure you have bank guarantees for €120m+ before spending €94m on Higuain.

Transfer fees and wages are amortised over the length of the contract. (Transfer fee + wages)/contract length = yearly cost for the player. It doesn't have any bearing on the Pogba sale.

Just saw Juventus busking in town centre. #skint

I know these things get amortized, what does that have to do with being linked with Pogba or not ?

They are healthy in the context of Italian football clubs but still operated at about a £5m loss in 2014/15 which was hugely successful financial year for them. They are stable but not 'very healthy' by any means.

God you just don't know what to believe do you. I think Juve just don't want to sell and thats why they are making it as difficult as they can.
I'm losing patience to even care anymore to be honest.

They wouldnt care. They are looking to win the UCL as soon as possible. Even if they make the semis or the finals its good money without wining. Also they wont have to worry about attack or midfield for at least the next two years. So just defense to focus on. Wont cost them too much. Plus they can raise money selling their fringe players.
They've had one run in Europe over the last 12 odd years. This CL / Juve talk is nonsense.

I know these things get amortized, what does that have to do with being linked with Pogba or not ?

It's not linked to Pogba because Juventus can afford to spend 23.5m on a player every year, they don't need the sell of Pogba to finance that.

You asked whether it was more logical for Juve to wait for the Pogba deal to be concluded or not. To which I responded, paraphrasing, that is shouldn't have any connection to how the Pogba negotiations go because Juventus have the money to amortise Higuain's deal.

What you are saying is FFP calculation.

How much club pays upfront and in how many installments depends on the clubs. For example, if what Di Marzio said is correct then Juve will pay 47 Million this year and 47 million next year.

I always thought he was overrated but now we are struggling to get him I have never wanted a signing more. Well thiago aside.

That's the point. They don't want to sell him. The transfer is only possible because we're close to offering a ridiculous amount of money which Juventus would be mad not to accept and because they can't afford the financial package we would be able to give to Pogba.

It doesn't change anything, it could be 23m now and 23m in April of both years, they can finance that. IIRC PSG had to pay Palermo like that.

If this is, or continues to be, a genuine case of brinkmanship I guess we might not even see the deal being concluded until very very late on in the transfer window. It might very well be similar scenario to how we finally landed Berbatov or how Madrid signed Bale.

Obviously that is another factor in these things. The amortisation in addition to how Juve pay the installents are still within Juve's financial means without any consideration for how the Pogba deal proceeds, which was my initial point.

I said it way earlier on in this thread it's got Vidal written all over it! I think he'll wait till next summer to move to Madrid personally.

Yeah it doesn't change anything, just saying transfer are not amortized over the contract length. It's done only for FFP calculation.

If it doesn't hapeen next week, it wobn't happen at all imo. Jose already said this wouldn't be a long transfer deadline saga, he also said we have other targets.
I think we will just move onto other targets if it doesn't happen next week.

Has anybody seen beppe marotta the director of juventus wouldn't surprise with those wonky eyes he cant even read the amount woody has written on the check.

I think the deals already done, why is DiMarzio gospel look at the Andre Gomez thing and the Aubameyang transfer he can be fed lies too!
