How are we being humiliated by Juve?! Some of you are so highly strung.

I wouldn't say "humiliated" but if the figures are accurate and Juventus keep upping their demands then we should walk away, otherwise it will set a dangerous precedent in future. Clubs will think that we'll pay anything just to get a player and push prices even further.

In English?
The french midfielder is close to re-joining the Red Devils for the huge fee of over 100m.

It's pretty much the same as was reported 5 days ago. Only thing holding the deal up is the problem on Raiola's 20% cut.

Fine. The problem is my doubts over him having a major impact. I just don't believe at this moment that he will. I'm praying he proves me wrong - but I cannot see it happening at this moment. We'll just have to wait and see.

That's a fair worry - I'm very confident he'll make a good enough impact.

Exactly, it's no point to advance If the stingy Italians raise their demands every time. If the rumors are correct, Madrid won't pay Raiola's fees either and they are offering as much as we are, so at the end of the day, Juve will look like the silly ones.

Juve are just doing business. They don't want to lose him, so it is only natural that they are driving the price up as much as possible. They know you are desperate for a world class midfielder and exploit that as good as they can.
Thing is, you and any other club would do the same if they were in Juve's position.

I hope we don't go through with this transfer. They can refuse our huge offer and enjoy him for one more year before selling him for half of what we offered to Real.

His value in the market will only rise. He's contracted to Juventus until 2019. The fact is, we need Paul. There's no one else in the market who could give us what he can give us.

Que someone telling you how Matuidi can do a job.

This. Also, It's not just the sporting side - Pogba is the next big name in the game marketing wise. We are desperately short of a new "face". Rooney is soon done and then we only really have de Gea and Martial of a potentially similar magnitude.

Most clubs would state their demands to begin with, not keeping increasing them when someone met the previous offer - if the reports are true.

Pull out over an extra 20M? What about us muppets?

Can't see Woody pulling out tbh, they'll come to an agreement and meet in the middle somewhere.

Less of the negativity ladies and gentlemen. This is a done deal. Riola is United's bitch or vise versa.

Real Madrid supposedly interested is just Juve/agent leaking stories to sharpen United's pens. Basically, more interest in your goods/client better the deal.

Ed is desperate for a marquee signing, I think it will hurt to his bones to pull out of this. He'll get it done!

You guys remember when we didn't sign Hazard because of some agent extra fees or something and people were depressed for days on? Do people want to go through that again?

Sure 145 or even 120 are absurd fees but what's it to us(fans)? We get Pogba once and for all and hopefully never have to deal with Juventus ever again when it comes to transfers and such.

I really hope this is done on Monday, we need him. Matuidi is a good player but don't be naive, we are settling for a player who is at his peak already, Pogba is already a better player and will only get better.

I remember Ed saying that Manchester United should be able to make these transfers happen instead of all of these type of players going to Spain. Now it's his time to prove himself!

But it won't happen.

Not just Hazard. Lucas and Nasri as well!

Exactly! Bite the bullet and then refuse to deal with the feckers ever again.

Until they sign a Pogba replacement who ends up being better and then you want him too - why do other clubs in Europe seem to be able to consistently do this? Atletico Madrid and strikers sticks in my head in particular!

Doesn't matter what the fee is really, we'd be comfortably be able to afford them with all the sponsorship deals and revenue streams we have.
Plus if Pogba elevates us to the next level and we get back to winning ways, our revenue will only increase further.

The bolded part is the important one. All we got are tweets from wannabe insiders who in reality know jack what is going on.

Some of you could use a little away time from this thread. Go get some fresh air! This is nailed on, only a matter of time before it's official.

Definitely China I reckon. They love to sign South American players, and chucking ridiculous sums at clubs. Nobody else would pay that for James. But he obviously wasn't interested in leaving Madrid for that rubbish.
Couldn't be China there window closed a week or so ago.

For gods sake Woody should just bend over and take it up the khyber on this transfer, no one would mind or think any less of you for doing so,
If Juve want to screw you over just relax and take it like a good chap, Hell, I'm sure every caf member would hold your hand whilst your getting pounded. :nervous:

We should be willing to pay almost anything for players of the potential of Pogba. We can afford it and I have no problem with us doing it personally.

yep. Every big clubs have had to spend big "silly" money on top signing relative to their times. Those are the type of sacrifices to make and improve your squad.

Barca went through all those legal troubles and overpaying Neymar jr dad(who is his agent) to get him at all cost. They wanted him and did everything they could(even go as far as get into shading dealing ) to get their man and now they are reaping their reward. I'm not even going to get into Real whose most recent case was Bale and were stretch to overpay and make him the most expensive player in history to get him, and now they're also reaping the reward.

The deal with Pogba might look nuts right now but it's better to get it done regardless instead of regretting few years later and wonder what could have been because we refused to caught up some extra cash.

Sure now Juv are playing us for clowns and trying to suck from us as much as possible but the pay off are likely to be worth it, and when that happen we'll all forget about the fees and all the nonsense currently going on.
