I hope Juve get relegated again.

Stubborn, stingy cnuts.

Also get done for match fixing, money laundering and doping, plus losing to Leicester if they meet in the Champs League:drool:

yep. Every big clubs have had to spend big "silly" money on top signing relative to their times. Those are the type of sacrifices to make and improve your squad.

Barca went through all those legal troubles and overpaying Neymar jr dad(who is his agent) to get him at all cost. They wanted him and did everything they could(even go as far as get into shading dealing ) to get their man and now they are ripping their reward. I'm not even going to get into Real whose most recent case was Bale and were stretch to overpay and make him the most expensive player in history to get him, and now they're also ripping the reward.

The deal with Pogba might look nuts right now but it's better to get it done regardless instead of regretting few years later and wonder what could have been because we refused to caught up some extra cash.

Sure now Juv are playing us for clowns and trying to suck from us as much as possible but the pay off are likely to be worth it, and when that happen we'll all forget about the fees and all the nonsense currently going on.

I'm interested to know what you think the history of the phrase 'ripping the reward' is.

Has no one seen Pogba's latest Instagram picture? He's wearing a red, black and white Miami Heat top?

It's PogbON!

We should be willing to pay almost anything for players of the potential of Pogba. We can afford it and I have no problem with us doing it personally.
This !!!

It's something people seem to be forgetting. Big clubs are always willing to pay anything if they want to get a target they desperately want, case in point Neymar and Bale for Barca and Madrid.

Barca over payed Neymar's dad(remember the real fees for Neymar are actually higher than what Barca reported) and Real were forced to make Bale the most expensive signing in the world despite him not being worth that. They both got stretched and dwindled, yet they put up with it, cough up the silly amount of money and got their man. Today they are reaping the rewards.

That's how these huge transfer work. It's not just us being stretched to pay over the odd, every big, top class club wanting their man get pushed and still go to any length to acquire their desired target which is something we should be doing.

It's a Bulls jersey, and haven't you seen the colour of his hair? This is off. The hair dresser was trolling :(

It's reaping mate ;) but I agree. There was a time many said Bale was overrated. Pogba would be great at United.

Oops, it's reap the rewards. English isn't my first language, I get these grammatical errors from time to time, though rarely.(I'm better with French):p

120 or 145, what's that to us? (the fans) Makes no difference. Pay it and then stay the feck away from Italian clubs for the rest of our history
From 145, Juventus could very much demand 160, what's the difference again?
I know we are desperate but it's impractical to deal that way.
You and me both. How on earth can we justify this? I'd like to know how much money we'll be making off the pitch by getting him. Surely it's got to be a lot because I can't see what else is there.

Anyway, will shut up now as I don't want angry muppets on my case:D
If Juventus starts demanding 200, people will still make up anything to defend that fee. I really want this transfer to happen but I don't see myself making peace with the conditions involved.

It's madness.

Lol. This thread

As if he was going to dye his hair red..lol. Let's drop the fake sadness. We all know it's happening.

saw the white text honest

Colluding with the chef?

We are one of the biggest football clubs in world football. It's time to start acting like it.

Or would you all prefer we take the Liverpool scattergun approach to transfers and sign loads of midtable quality players at 25m a time? Because they have already spunked 55m on Mane and Winaldi for god sake.

Colluding with the chef?
Yes. And Gianluca Di Marzio. They're all part of Pogba's big plan of getting his revenge on the team that played Park and Rafael in front of him(and its supporters).

How can you be so sensitive how a business spends its money to further your entertainment? Can't make peace with the conditions involved? Talk about dramatic.

Going by the posts made on this thread, the muppets here are far more sensitive and dramatic than I am and there's nothing wrong with that.

it's actually not a bad thing to break the record fee, it will "only" inflate the prices of players and only we can afford them from then...

On an other note we will be force again in the market, despite not playing champions league, pulling off this transfer..

Listen everyone is entitled to their opinion but the club goes out of it's ways to become bigger and the best way to use that reality, is to give the supporters what they want - entertainment. In this case a real good player who will improve the team greatly.

The money aspect is the nature of the beast but it's not like United will spiral out of control. As pointed out...If Madrid or Barcelona didn't show ambition and pay the money...they wouldn't have the likes of Neymar or Bale. Pogbas level is difficult to access but he has top potential. United are very intelligent about money creation. So the drama about the price from people is not needed. We know agents are parasites - but the reality is unless we remove them all we have to deal with them. Ultimately, if we are smart we'll be fine.

Signing Pogba will be a massive coup for the club considering what we've done the last 3 years down to poor management decisions. Let's continue a trend of hopefully making a correct decision. And that will also strengthen the mood of our sponsors.

Last I heard it was 120 million,now its 145 ?

There are 2 fees that raiola is entitled to.

One is based on his agreement with juve whereby he gets a % (reported to be 20%) of the fee juve receives for Pogba. Other is a 20m fee which United promised to pay if he gets us ibra, mkhitariyan and Pogba (maybe matuidi too).

Issue now is juve was offered 100m but they would get only 80m of this as they have to pay 20m to raiola. So they quoted 125m so that they receive 100m and agent gets 25m. This is supposed to be the issue whereby juve wants 100m for themselves. I guess they assumed raiola might forego his share since he is pushing for a move

For balance, we must also remember that Di Marzio got Gomes spectacularly wrong. Let's not hang onto his every word.

So much fear and anger at an undergoing process that, let's face it, none of us know anything about.

Humiliated

and also not to forget that he actually tweeted regret for his gomes story and said openly he got it wrong. Which really shows his commitment to getting things as accurate as possible compared to outlets like Sun/DM etc etc etc

I'd bet my ballsack on us not offering anywhere close to £120million. Juventus would be fecking mental to even consider rejecting a figure that high.

Anything over £80 million is a phenomenal figure for a player that is not close to being the finished article yet.

I just hope this gets sorted (one way or the other) in the next week or so.

No, he didn't really get it 'spectacularly wrong'. He said Juve would be looking at him as Pogba's replacement but nobody had an idea, literally nobody, about Barcelona's interest who have done the deal swiftly.

I think everyone got it wrong. Everyone thought he was going to Madrid until the 11th hour. As a journalist you cant possibly know that. If you look at the stuff he gets right vs the stuff he gets wrong he still comes out way way ahead.

Including wages it will be close to a billion by the time he finishes his career here.

Three billion actually.

One billion for Pog.
One billion for the agent.
One billion for the hairdresser.

That's fine. However, we shouldn't be talking about 'top poteniall' for that price. Must be a finished and deadly article. I think it's reasonable that some of us thinks it's crazy taking a huge risk at 145M Euros on someone with potential. I don't think there should be any criticism if some posters feel this way. It's totally reasonable.

Gonzalo Higuain has already signed contracts with Juventus, yesterday after medical examinations carried out in Madrid. Now, Juve will pay clause

That just confirms Pogba is a done deal by this weekend because there is no way they could afford him without the £100m they are getting from us.

How about you stop calling everyone dramatic who is not fine with us willing to meet every single demand of a selling club?
