To be honest, I am disappointed that no one is tracking Riola's flight to Miami.

When did Madrid come into picture? There was no Madrid when I gone to sleep last night.
Everything changes in matter of few hours.

Truth is we don't know what's going on with this deal and are going by hear say. There is bound to be optimistic and pessimistic views, its the nature of muppet season really. I find people who criticise others for having such opinions as annoying as those who constantly raise debunked theories about the fee and worth of players. And since when did people start taking muppet season seriously anyway? I must have missed the memo

nothing is 100%.

But what I like about Mourinho is he does not look like putting all the eggs in one basket.

He does have some options.

Whatever happens, I believe he will take us on the right path.

I feel the same way, I trust in Jose.
I also think that pogba wants to come here and this deal is very close to completion.

we are shitting bricks because Madrid lost out on Gomes and mou said everyone under the sun is after Pogba.

hey...how have you been mate? :)

I've been really well RD, how's things with you?
Are watching the convention? It's nuts!

Back to pogs, I find it really surprising how some folks in here freak out as soon as they suspect the transfer might not be going as smoothly.

muppet season mate. Jose is finally trying to strengthen midfield with someone who can bring some steel into it...with all due respect to Morgan and Bastian.

I doubt I will ever see the like of Keane again in my lifetime. But this lad is special. Here is hoping eh...:)

The convention...nah hardly watch it...too much comedy for me. Happy though to hear the GOP is in meltdown.

Think I will watch the hairdo tonight. :)

Next week I will be watching and counting as many lies as I can that comes out of Hilarity's mouth....on the last day. :D

ok..lets not derail this thread

The change of mood in this thread over the tiniest piece of information from an inconsistent source is hilarious. From last nights barber confirmation to tonights "He's off to Madrid" wrist slashing. I can see why people take breaks from this thread .

This doesn't look good for us, to be honest.

I keep seeing this but yet I see no legitimate reason being talked about.

-Mourinho saying there are other options? Of course he has other options he isn't David fecking Moyes
-Gomes going to Barcelona? Literally has nothing to do with Pogba/United and the only speculation about it making Madrid go back for Pogba is coming from the doom and gloom crowd in this thread
-Raiola flying to Miami to meet up with his client? Agents never fly to meet with their clients and there is no way this could have been a previously planned trip.
-Rumors of Madrid being back in? Well Madrid's media mouthpiece has been putting out hit pieces on Pogba in their paper and saying Madrid are out.
-Haggling over money and agent fee? Ya that never happens in these world record transfers.

Oh no … it's all too recently familiar!

We're obviously split on the decision and lacking, or not privy to, any real "honest" information or perspective on the subject matter. Amidst the scare-mongering, those of us that are pro realise they might come to rue their decisions considering the probable financial impact and there are loads of people waiting quietly in the background (until there's confirmation) to say "I told you so" when it all goes tits-up!

It's bloody BREXIT all over again!

It's also the biggest club for Spanish and Portuguese speakers. That obviously incorporates South America and Iberia - where there are endless brilliant footballers and footballing nations. In Scandinavia and Asia United are seen as the biggest club but obviously the quality of footballers isn't as good.
Well said. China alone has over a billion people, and United absolutely, unquestionable dominates Asia. It's actually manic over there, I've been twice for non-football related reasons and United is the only football club you ever hear about. We have the biggest fan base in the world, I'm pretty sure of that. People need to stop playing United down as a club. We are not some second rate pretender.

It's incredible how people on here always go to the worst possible option.

Barcelona sign Andre Gomes, so Madrid MUST want Pogba it's off(nevermind that the price difference between the two is atleast double, so they can't alternatives)
Raiola goes out to see Pogba, it's off
Mourinho's comments about him not being the only option, it's off

By far my favorite comments has to be people complaining about United dithering too much. As if dealing with a big club like Juve on a huge deal like this wasn't gonna take time.

It most likely is done, Madrid don't accept defeat easily but this time thye seem to j
Assuming he's flying private, anyone looking shouldn't just check MIA (Miami International Airport). While MIA does have private flights, OPF (Opa Locka) takes a lot of private business as it's a quick in/out. Maybe TMB (Tamiami), another executive airport, but OPF is closer, and not much further from where Pogba is staying than MIA.

Of course, based on that basketball video, I pretty much know where Pogba is staying, as the bridge in the background gave it away. That park was in a VERY exclusive area, and there's no way they let people play there unless they're staying in one of the mansions there. There's only one road in and out, so I could spend the night staking out that entrance. I would never do that, but that would be some legendary muppeting.

You would become caf legend if you can snap Pogba's new haircut color,

Its quite easy: They are the world's most successful ever team.

- Historically, they are more successful and won more silver than we have We also have a great legacy and despite current struggles, we have won a league title more recently than Real Madrid have. Also, Real Madrid didn't suffer something like Munich.
- They have had some of the worlds best players since the 1950s We have had many world class players too.
- They pay amazing wages. We do too.
- They play in front of 80,000 amazing and very loud fans in an amazing stadium We play in front of 75,000 fans and our supporters are generally far more supportive than spoiled Real fans.
- Madrid enjoys amazing weather True.
- Madrid possesses enriching culture That line sounds like its from a tourism marketing campaign.
- Madrid has many beautiful women What?

Nothing for us to be ashamed of, only 1 team can have that status, and our club can't do anything about many of those reasons.
The insecurities of our fans when our club is compared to Real, Barcelona, Bayern is amazing.

So people are worried that Madrid who couldn't spend 50m on Gomes so they will come and spend 100m on Pogba ? Seems legit

Have to admit that i'm legit concerned about this happening. Its weird that Riaola is travelling to see Pogba I mean what is it that he couldnt tell him on the phone. Di Marzio did report some time again that Madrid came asking again for him so its not impossible that they decided to make a move. If United are hung up on agent fees then ffs just pay, the club is spending 100-120m and they're worried about 20m? Thats utterly stupid if true.

Wtf is wrong with people??? CALM DOWN!!!! It's done, it's obviously done, do you seriously think he would hop onto a plane, fly to Miami and say, Paul, Madrid are interested in you

Yes 100m is a lot but, so is 20m and saying United being worried about is utterly stupid - well, the opposite is really the case, it would be really really stupid for United to just throw that much money at the first time of asking. Say United is buying the kid Reece Oxford and they think 15m should be the going price but, West Ham come and say nah give us 25m - it's just 10m, should we just say yes without trying to negotiate? Probably be utterly stupid of us to do that.

Also, all this fear from the fans because of a few stories saying Madrid have come back, that seems like a feed from Juve to try get some panic - goal achieved but, thankfully it's not the people that matter. Club seems to have countered quite well with Mou saying - well we've got other options if the deal doesn't go through. So the clubs / agent are at the negotiating table - will probably take a few more days/rounds and then things will be settled.
