Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Apparently part of todays GdS report...

GdS: "Raiola in Manchester, United have launched his final attack: 125 million for Pogba. Today Paul will be in Manchester for a medical?"

http://www.vecchiasignora.com/topic...paul-sara-a-manchester-per-le-visite-mediche/

I wouldn't trust any Juventus fan, they are all wumming.

The bit about Pogbas medical is dubious but the bit about Raiola being in Manchester is in the article. Unless it's photoshopped? How far are Juve fans taking their wums?

From SportsWitness:

"Gazzetta reiterate claims from English newspaper The Sun that Pogba could have a medical today, and then say they’ve not been able to get any kind of confirmation on this. Sounds a little premature."

Yeah i have little doubt the medical stuff is BS, with so many top level journo's following this we'll know it's done before a medical could even be booked.

Since when was it the norm to quote agent fees in transfers? Cause it's not like agents are working for free on all the other deals, right? If the rumours about 100m euro is true, it wouldnt even be a transfer record (?), and I'm sure the agents for the Bale and Ronaldo-deals got their fair share as well.

Seems that you're all very excited by these news. To be honest I don't believe it. I still have in my mind the Fabregas, Kroos and Sneijder stories to haunt me.

I don't really think that we can attract him without being champions (or having champions league) and not be ready to win the CL.

Then, the price tag. For 125M€ I would rather go to Atletico and bring Koke for 70M and a right winger for 60M !

I don't say that Pogba is a bad player, he's better than our midfielders.

I'm afraid about the fee, and how it can affect his mind. He already has his head in the sky, so if it happens and becomes the record breaker, I just hope that he can become humble again and not arrogant like we saw with the French squad at the beginning of the Euros.

I want to bring him to United sure, but I don't want this saga to stop us to think about other areas that needs to be strenghen

Agree. Unless someone confirms or rejects the bid this new stuff is literally where Di Marzio was planting his flag weeks ago. I'm excited that another reliable journo has picked up on the story which helps to bolster the rumours, but we aren't even getting a sense if Juve are interested. I know it's 100m but with Juve, who knows :wenger:

Im sure if we launch a 100m bid for Pogba, they will send him to us, like you said, Juve is Juve and im sure they will buy 3 class players for that money.

I dont believe it yet, Pogba still in Miami and Di Marzio yet to tweet.

Take the last few pages with a pinch of salt.

The attracting is already done. Di Marzio's story that broke all this claimed Raiola and Pogba created a "deal in principle" to bring Pogba to MUFC. Furthermore L'Equipe ran a story from a journo that interviewed pogba, claiming pogba was interested in "completing the circle" by returning to MUFC.

The issue is, Pogba would probably choose Real Madrid ahead of us, but he's also, seemingly, attracted to our project.

Raiola owns 20% of Pogba which he has to sell as we can't have 3rd party ownership in England.

This looks like it'll happen. Really don't want him and I've previously said that I think he's overrated so let's hope that Mourinho's instinct on him is right.

It'll be a big statement signing though.

Not a dig or anything, just curious, who would you rather have?

Paul pogba should tweet this

"So I'm back up in the game
Running things to keep my swing
Letting all the people know
That I'm back to run the show"

I think he will come back from holiday on friday and tell Juve he wants to leave and he will be our player by saturday evening. In these kind of deals, selling club will be the l;ast one formally contacted. We through raiola must know what juve want and we will send Raiola with an offer they cannot refuse soon.

Hope that Mourinho can see that extra special something that I haven't been able to see watching Pogba over the last 4 years. Don't get me wrong, I'd like him to play for us, he's a huge talent and all o' that, but €125m (c. £110m thanks BREXIT!) is a shed load of money, the kind of mind-boggling sums that should be reserved for the most exceptional players that come around once or twice every 10 years or so. I don't buy into this values are rising so much at that end of the market even given distorted PL budgets. Over one-hundred million is "god-like" level (ignore buy-out valuations they're not true reflections of a players worth, just hands-off price-tags). Do I think Pogba is there yet? No, but, and here's the BIG but, maybe Mourinho is the right man to push him over the line and turn him into "that player".

Additionally to the price-tag, I have a small worry that he's quite a precocious individual and we certainly don't need to shell out all that for a "Ballotelli" type player who will be grabbing the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Before anyone jumps on that last comment I'm not saying he's as bad as Ballotelli was/is but using him as an example of a disruptive influence who could have been one of the biggest talents in the Premier League … look how that worked out! Again, keeping his feet on the ground is what Mourinho's banking the big bucks for so that will be interesting to watch.

I sincerely hope I'm proved wrong and will back him all the way if we go ahead and sign him. I just can't get rid of this nasty feeling that this could blow up in our faces quite badly and that's worrying given the price-tag!

Koke or Andre Gomes. Not as talented as Pogba, granted but is the different in price tags indicative of the difference in quality? I'm not sure.

If Mourinho thinks he needs a right winger there's nothing to say he won't get one as well. No budget has been mentioned.

I think if Pogba turns out to be like Yaya Toure was for City in his prime he is worth every penny. He could be the difference between trophies or runners up medals.

This thread is cute, watching everybody get excited.

But boy, I am not looking forward to the meltdown when it comes..

Ok, well maybe it will be a tiny little incy bit interesting...

Koke I agree with. He'd be great. I just think in terms of talent and current ability Pogba is the best we can do for midfield.

Hopefully you're right mate. It's a very ballsy move by the board and manager.

You're "a little interested" in watching the forum meltdown over a missed target, a target Jose desperately wants?? :wenger::wenger:

I don't really know if Di Marzio can be trusted, but Lequipe can't be trusted for sure. In order to sell more, Lequipe changed their editorial line last year to become more "gossip and transfers" and I don't really trust what they say.

Nah, I'm just messing. I should say, because I know a lot on here are over sensitive at the moment.

Hopefully it goes smoothly

So you would actually prefer a less talented player just in order to save money? Money that we can afford to spend anyway, and that has no bearing on you personally? I really fail to understand this mentality I really do.

It's like a billionaire buying an Audi instead of a Ferrari just to save a few pounds, because, well, an Audi still gets you from a to b right?

Looking forward to this being concluded. We've lacked presence in midfield for so long it's unbelievable. Everyone suggesting players like koke and verrati is missing the point that none of them solve that problem.

Except we've been shopping for Audi's for years now and lately it hasn't been getting us anywhere. Time to buy a Ferrari to go with the new driver.

Not really. As I said, I don't really rate Pogba that much and I don't see much difference between the three players.

Andre Gomes does not deserve to be in the conversation. Compare Koke and Pogba, sure, but Gomes is easily a level below both.

I used to hate sports witness , then found them useful, but i hate their pissing on chips however factually correct they are. Cant a muppet be left to dream?
