Don't doubt for a moment that's at least part of it. Despite their mutual sympathy, Mourinho has to establish himself at United also against Ferguson.

I think he's a very exciting player but the fee, him having left us on a free in the past and the likelihood of him kicking up a fuss to leave in the distant future has taken a lot of the gloss off it. Has a bit of the Di Maria transfer feel to it - with his agent doing a lot of influencing.

Oh come the feck on. Yes Mourinho is spending over £100mil on Pogba just to show Fergie whos the boss now.
 
When do we set off for china? If this deal is going to be done I would assume that both United and addidas (who have a lot of sway over both the player and club) would want this done in time for the main Tour pr work, maybe even the kit launch

It might be a lie. But it makes sense. Jose could be moving on to other transfers now that he thinks Pogba is a done deal and he won't have to go looking at the option b players for midfield.

I think the bigger question is when does Pogba return from his holiday? He needs to have his medical and take official photos wearing the kit...again :drool:

I wouldn't worry too much. We have a lot to offer Pogba, and the balance of power is shifting toward England if you want to be noticed worldwide. It may be a couple more years to see the full effects but I believe ultimately that we are better positioned for the future (growth, exposure, finances, tv deals, marketing) than Real or Barca.

Because Pogba is one of Jose's "Four targets", i'd imagine he's

1. Not bothering with other targets that are around pogba's level.

2. Planning team tactics and scenarios with him in mind.

3. While planning is XI squad, is acting like pogba is done so he is forming a team around him

Seriously, nothing special. Something about Pogba deal potentially concluded in a week and a half, Januaz being skilled but lazy so he should be worried, Depay to be worried, Mata was expected to be sold but is too expensive so he won't, Jones might benefit from Mourinho thanks to his injury record that would keep him fit for the first time since a long time, what else? I forgot for the rest.

No public offer, the offer is on the table, up to Juventus to accept or refuse IMO.

Mourinho was apparently "acting like he has the man Utd job too" while lvg was In charge. So if anything, if Jose is confident it's a good sign.
 
If Mendes and Raiola are working on the deal, Manchester United only dot i's and cross t's without having to have made any direct contact with Juve, right?

If that's the case, there can be 'no contact' from MUFC right up to the formalities of the deal.
 
Judging by the hair, the pink Bentley, this kid has a "little" bit of an EGO !
Which leads me to beleive he is definitely the type that would love to be the worlds first £100 million footballer,with it comes his own big slice of immortality within footballing history, on this basis alone, it is why I personally think he will be coming here.
 
This saga has 1 week left in my opinion. If we want him, we have to move this week otherwise the deal will run stale. If its not done within 7 days then the deals off i think. We always dilly dally on big deals, lord knows why, and it's cost us big time over the years.
