What does ITK even stand for?
It's been said so much in here that I feel like and idiot for asking.

ITK = In The karzy. SteveJ's got it right. karsey, karsy, karzey, karzy, kazi, Khazi. That's why the only ITKs I can ever trust, are called John

Yes fellow young people, I think it would be totally swag if we were to sign him. Pogba is so blinging!
Yep. Think I nailed that.

This is the part of the thread (and story) where a herd behavioral contagion takes effect, where people repeatedly come back to the thread for no reason other than to say something and feel like they are part of the story. This in turn causes more and more people to do the same thing. This process sets them up for a massive emotional plunge if the transfer doesn't take place.

I am starting to feel this transfer won't happen. It feels like another Vidal or Thiago.

I just hope we don't let it drag out too long.

Why put yourself in either category of it will or won't happen. Just allow the rest of our business to unfold and proceed from there.

Am i the only one who is starting to think, if it happens great, if it doesn't, no biggie?

Im all for Galactico signings, but 100m would buy us some serious talent so what will be will be.

There comes a point in those old movies where the chased suddenly turns round and thinks "hang on, im much bigger than him". I am now at that point where Pog/Raiola need to suddenly chase our £

We both know this won't end till deadline day. By which point half of the people now permanently fixated on this thread have bought shirts and at least 1 person has a tattoo and at least 3 people have named pets after him.

There's also a wave of partners leaving people after mistakingly being called Paul or "poggy baby" in bed.

This will obviously be sorted long before deadline day.

Some people on here are ridiculous, if there isn't any news in a few hours it's off? How does that make sense. So much baseless negativity.

It's July 12th.

Pogba is a fool if he accepts to stay at Juve. Lack of ambition staying at a small club in italy.

One more season in beautiful Torino, main man, competing in the Champions League and probably winning Serie A before moving to Real Madrid 2017.

Not sure if serious..

Whats the obsession with Madrid? Seriously, and I mean this with all respect to Juventus fans. Serie A is a mess. You could even say come to United - if we fail to qualify for the champs league, Madrid can buy you for 90m. This madrid obsession is annoying. Thank God we nipped it in the bud by not selling De Gea. Some people are completely defeatist. Even without the CL this year, the premiership will be much more interesting then Serie A.

Notice: Anyone who takes this thread off topic or spams it up with pointless nonsense will be infracted and thread banned instantly. Consider this the first and only warning.

Pretty much agree mate, I wonder if Juve would ultimately be disappointed if we pulled the plug on this deal after they rejected our terms.

Vidal was a case of us being unsure of his long term rehabilitation after his knee injury. Because of this we never made an offer? Not the same at all.

Thiago wanted game time and it was a choice between pep+Bayern vs Moyes+United. Since pep was his mentor, he moved there

Both situations completely different

Now explain why Juve would turn down £100m+ only to accept much less from Real in 2017? If they wont match it now, they wont match it then. They don't owe Pogba the move he (eventually) wants. "Sure Paul, we'll chuck £40m down the drain so you can be happy".

What? I don't have any obsession with Madrid. It just so happens that unfortunately, players prefer joining them than us. And we've had a pretty barren spell over the last 3 years, which Jose has asked us to forget. And Madrid happen to be coached by the French darling, monsieur Zinedine Zidane.

We can't pretend that the best players are desperate to join us. There are clubs out there better positioned to win things.

Probably not. He's 23, one of their best players, should only get better and transfer fees are only going to get higher. They'll get to keep him while he develops and it wouldn't be surprising if somebody paid close to that for him in the future.

We know about Madrid but if you believe all you read, Madrid cannot afford him. They are not in the race. So at this stage, he'll either stay or join United should we bid and it be accepted. There is plenty of reasons why he might want to move back to England including Family. So let's be a bit optimistic, especially since Madrid are not in the race.

Yeah if it doesn't happen I'll be disappointed for a few minutes and then excited about whoever new we're linked with, knowing full well we are willing to splash some serious cash.

I do think it would be idiotic if Juve decided not to take an offer of 100m though.

On the subject of having to wait for Juve to buy a Pogba replacement before they agree to sell him....isn't Pjanic a Pogba replacement already?

i just don't get why everyone is making such a deal about the cost. Yeah it's a big fee but:

a.) Juve don't want to sell.
b.) He's a player with genuine world class potential, who is currently very good.
c.) he's a combination of still being young (23 iirc) and very experienced (Played in 3 title winning teams, a Champions league final and a Euro Final) (yes i know he lost both).

then when you consider some of the recent or past REPORTED transfer fee's bid (bolded because some of these will have been made up):

  • £30m Troy Deeney (bid)
  • £39m Ighalo (bid)
  • £49m Stirling (sale)
  • £36m Martial
  • I'm sure others can come up with more examples.

Pogba's in a different place to all of them in terms of current ability, potential, experience and most importantly existing club/contract.

You want to buy something from someone who doesn't want to sell then the price goes up.

I actually think if we can do this deal we are getting a fair deal. IMO it's very similar to the Ronaldo/Bale deals which at the time was Madrid wanted a player we/tottenham didn't want to let go...we tell them what they have to pay for us to agree...they wanted him so they paid it. [Disclaimer: I am not comparing him to Ronaldo as a player]

I hate to be the realistic bore around here but no-one knows what is going to happen with this until we actually get some concrete news from either United, Juventus or the player. We can't take Raiola's chit chat as gospel as we all learned from the Mkhtaryan and Ibra transfers. He plays games with all parties to ensure he is financially rewarded in the end game.

Tweets from the odd poor news source here and random ITK there aren't anything to go on. I'd even go as far as saying to ignore anything that comes from Pogba's agent as we know he won't ever give a straight answer - he simply can't risk things at these early stages.

When we all see a yellow ticker scrolling across Sky Sports News screen stating that we've made an official world record bid for the player we'll all know that the wheels are in motion.

Until then, let's keep our penises tucked away.

You were doing so well until you started talked about Sky Sports. They are useless i'm afraid.
