Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Even mkhitaryan didn't personally do anything. Raiola did everything for him. This means nothing

I don't believe that raiola would do this just for a fee eventhough Pogba wants to stay. The guy is renowned for being extremely good to his clients I think?

He basically said Pogba isn't going to throw his toys out of the pram and hand in a transfer request which we all knew anyway and that Raiola fancies the deal as he gets a lot of money which we also all knew....

I think there were some infos about Juventus' intention to reject the forthcoming 120 million bid and also that Pogba won't push for a move. Apparently that's been said by Di Marzio on live TV.
Thanks!

The part about not handing in a transfer request doesn't really concern me as like you said I'm not sure any of us expected him to? However if Di Marzio has said Juve will reject that much money then that is an issue.

Only watched 3 minutes, can't watch the whole thing being half an hour long. Those first 3 minutes are full of nice control and touches etc but all in non dangerous areas but there's nothing contributed of any substance going forward, half of the time hes going side ways.
Here's a crazy thought, maybe if you watched the entire thing before coming to a ridiculous conclusion you'd see him contributing to the final third. God save me...

I fully expect Pogba to come out and say he's happy where he is and "it's not up to me" this week along with Raiola saying he's negotiating and Juve will say they don't want to sell him. It depends how determined they are to keep him. North of a 100m euros or pounds is a lot of money to knock back. Pogba will be up for the move but wouldn't want to upset anyone by saying it openly. Also we would have moved on by now to other targets if this wasn't happening but again it'll be up to Juve ultimately. I'm quite chilled about it.

Mourinho really doesn't mess around does he.. I think your signings so far have been excellent and if you get Pogba too then you are right in the title race.

I'm sure Utd fans won't give two hoots about the money as long as they're fighting for the league but wow, it's a chunk of money. No chance he's worth that imo as he's still not the finished article. A really fine player but he looks a bit gangly at times then Messi-esk the next.

On thing I would add and it's something not really talked about as far as I can see is the fact that Utd let this guy go not so long ago and are now looking to pay 100mil for him. If this was city/pool doing this, you guys would be ripping the piss out of them.....just saying.:)

In the interests of being as unbiased as possible for a pool fan.
At least your team is buying inspiring players that excite you. My lot are buying more potential as per usual.

I doubt an agent can force a player to leave a club if he doesn't want to.

Incredible post for a Scouser! ;)

An agent represents the client. There's a lot of SPIN going on. It's just spin. It is natural to hear over time Juventus rejecting or planning too. They're not going to announce they have all this money...so that other clubs fleece them. They will want to get the most out of that money and to do that, all is denied until everything is in place. They MIGHT turn it down...time will tell but it's also in their own interests. So nothing actually has changed. If we're talking to his agent, it's because Pogba is open to the move. There is no forcing involved.

Seems staggering that they would reject such a ludicrous amount of money. So much so that I have my doubts it's true.

Surely not holding out for something even more insane like 200 million Euros?!?!

Listen to him here

Without seeing what dates those things were said, how can anyone take the piss out of him? Cos just on the Pep thing, he was saying he is going to Man City all year long so I doubt the clip in that video is from this season. And he has called a lot of transfers correctly in recent times too. People seem to think football transfers are black and white but they are clearly not.

Can't believe people are expecting progress on Monday, the day after France potentially win the euros in their own country. I'm expecting to be closer to knowing what's happening by Friday next week.

I never mixed up your post. I don't give a shit if your grandmothers heard of zidane and not giggs. It has no relevance. Of course in certain demographics some people will be heard, others won't. Being more 'popular' comes down to what? Someone hearing your name? So even just hearing someones name means their more 'popular' - no. It just means one time they might have heard of them. This is complete nonsense when you include it in your opinion that it's true. When it comes down to that level - where you hear of someone but have absolutely no idea who they are - then it don't even matter. How is it relevant? What if randomly she heard of Giggs but not the other? Would that convince you? No, you used your grandma as confirmation of something you think..we get it. However, it's a random point and it's not really a great one. What's this all got to do with Pogba btw? Or maybe Pogba's heard of Zidane but not Giggs?....
No, you are putting words into my mouth with regards to your last post. Read what you wrote earlier. I was just using my grandmother as an example for the general public who would have heard of Zidane more than Giggs.

It's not about money. We don't need the player and unless pogba asks to leave we will hold on to him.

Our club value him at €100 million. That's not the price of forcing us to sell him though.

That is just the minimum price he will leave for if he were to ask to leave.

You can be sure that value has increased to €120 million since United offered that now.

Nobody is worth that money really it's obscene but it's all relative to the amount of money the club makes these days I think we receive around 120m a year from adidas and chevrolet alone plus he can be they call a franchise player in the US if he comes he will generate money in more sponsors etc...
Don't know where you get Messi esk from though style is totally different I would go for more of a Viera/Ronaldinho hybrid

Under different management.

Apple once forced Steve Jobs out. In 1997, they effectively rehired him for 400m+ when they acquired NeXT. And the rest is history....

It's really poor evidence of Zidane being more famous than Giggs. I can use the same argument, my mum definitely knows of Giggs and won't have a clue who Zidane is.

I have no idea who is more well known to be honest but cannot state a fact with either way. In my opinion if you go to China or India, I think Giggs would win it. Probably America too. But that's just my opinion of people I know in these areas.

And one last thing, trust me, United got a lot of pressure to get back in the elite and make the right signings. Dont think for a second people in high places dont need or demand information of whats going on this transfer window.

Try to listen to this guy because he's the only one with some sort of valuable United related information.

Secondly. The people in charge for both clubs are no idiots. Buying and selling players is part of running a football club and the case of Paul Pogba isn't unique. The same owners sold Zidane so this situation isn't new for them.

From Uniteds perspective it makes perfect sense to buy a player like Pogba. With all the money we get from our sponsors we need to compete at the highest level, that includes splashing cash at the best available player in the transfer market. With buying Zlatan, Mhiki and Pogba we have made a serious statement that we mean business. Maybe part of the plan is to replace Rooney as our front figure, who's better then Zlatan and Pogba? Suddenly Wayne isn't the most important player in our team and with that in mind his bargain position is weakened. (Sorry for my bad English)

There is to much noise around this deal to think it's nonsense. United can't back off at this moment without losing face, that's one of the reasons I think that this deal will be finalized.

I was just making the point he looks good and not really analysing his style. I'm aware he's a midfielder and a little different to Messi.

I suppose what you say is correct about the dates, and I agree he does call some things correct. But when you arrogantly make statements in a way that make people believe, then expect to be slated when the opposite happens. For example..."Not sure who is coming with the idea but there is no way at all that Xabi Alonso is leaving Real Madrid." A few days later he left.

The hope that this transfer will really happen is making me jittery... I need to to be held and rocked gently!:annoyed:

Last time United made a big money signing of a player who would rather have gone elsewhere, (and got his wish eventually) it didn't work out too well for United...

I thought it was widely known that we havent bid yet and any bid would be submitted by the end of the euros. Essentially Monday really.

I think we will have to go higher than 120m euro. Wed really have yo give them something to chew over. I think all personal terms have been suggested to Pogba and he has more than likely agreed as they are probably very very high.

There wont be muvh movement on this until Monday and I believe the statements from the BBC and MEN are most likely "calm down" briefs from the club as there was a bit too much silly season going on last night.

Relax enjoy the weekend. Add him to your PES teams and strap in as next week its gonna get hella bumpy.

Pogba doesn't need to leave Juve though, he isn't being forced out like DI Maria was at Real. If Pogba doesn't want to come, then he won't.

The Juventuz banter was pretty fun when it was all jibes and made-up quotes/tweets to troll us. Not so fun now they seem genuinely angry. It's all gone a bit Bluemoon with the whole "fagcafe".

Lighten up. It's just a game, lads.

You make it sound like we're Swansea or something. Enough of this masochistic nonsense. We're top 3 of the biggest and richest clubs in the world just about every year, and there's absolutely nothing "deluded" about thinking a player might prefer us over Real or Barca - especially one who has lived in Manchester before and spoken highly of it.
Players who would choose United over Madrid/Barcelona is probably a small percent. And that percentage pretty much consists of British players and players who Madrid/Barcelona have shown less/no interest in. A player with the choice of joining/staying at those two (and being a valued squad member) would rarely ever choose to join United.

There's no shame in that, though. We all have our place.
Where United do trump others (even those two) is in pure money available for signing players (without stretching themselves.)

"BBC Sport has been told a transfer is "not even out of the starting blocks" -From who ?

"Juventus have refused to comment on the speculation around the player, whose contract runs to 2019."

Acquire me's word is good enough for me,he's been pretty much spot on.

What has Acquire me said? And when you say he's been spot on, are you referring only to Mourinho to United or others calls?

True. I guess he needs to have a bit more humility in his statements. His information is only as good as his source.

You can't expect media to say who their source is. No one would give them the info if they did.....
