Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

If Pogba doesn't want to come here; he shouldn't be forced. The last player who didn't want to come here was a certain Mr Di Maria. And we all know how that turned out.
Jesus Christ, this is another thing that gets mentioned every page. Please enlighten us how exactly did we force Di Maria to come here?

Saw a tweet saying that United will be discussing about Pogba tonight at 6:30 on MUTV hopefully he should be a good watch.

Well he's a decent player who'll definitely strengthen us, but it's a shame we've got to pay well over the odds to get him.
I've seen quite a lot of him in the last year, and he doesn't strike me as a £100M player. Not even a £60M player, but he's good, and United will be stronger with him in the team.
And I'm sure £100M is peanuts to us at the moment.

Thats not really true, sometimes you get an offer that is too good to turn down.

If his heart was for playing for Madrid now, we wouldn't be having this conversation. It's logical to create reasons why Madrid would be more tempting at this present moment, but it has nothing to do with love of a club. The fact money can tempt him, means that his preference can't really be that strong or convincing enough for that to be enough.

That said, to keep players of Pogbas quality - we have to improve and should we conclude the deal, we are going in the right direction. There's a long way to go. We've not even signed the guy and some people are already talking about us selling him lol.

I don't know why people get so worked up over a journalist saying Pogba prefers Real Madrid. I'd prefer a real woman but I'm still happy enough laying here with this blow up doll.
That's it, the doll is devastated now. She was not your first option!!! :nono:

Real are European Champions and we're in the Europa League, it wouldn't be a surprise if he preferred a move there. That doesn't mean he wouldn't want to play here though and it's only about money.

 this is RAWK ish

No. It's badass and strong.

The fact that Madrid kicked him out the door is forgotten. We basically kidnapped Dobby from his loving father Perez Potter.

It's not like he'd be signing for a Chinese Super League side. It's Manchester United and he's already said he loves the club.

You do realise it will be a few ex-players who are all out of any sort of loop discussing it?

Nobody is going to force Pogba here.

I don't it's impossible that he definitely want Madrid over United. The lure is much more to Madrid and it kinda makes sense. I like Pogba but I don't want us to spend big on another player whose heart isn't saying United.
I'd generally agree with that but he's been here before, will probably still know a lot of the staff, some of the players and Manchester in general so I doubt he'd be unhappy. I don't doubt he'd prefer Real over us but if he did come I think it'd turn out a lot differently than it did with Di Maria. He might want away in 3-4 years but whoever wanted to buy him would have to pay an absolute shitload, if he stays you can build a team around him for 8-10 years.

Do you not realize if he don't sign for Madrid, then his heart isn't playing for Madrid? It's even been said that his career plan included returning - which would mean leaving Madrid at some point......

People need to get over it.
Now we know his career plan too?

Why don't you go ahead and tell him Santa Clause isn't real while you are it, party pooper.

Hardly forced to join us, he had a choice move to United or stay and fight for a place in Madrids team. He even played great at the beginning for us until LVG and his philosophy and different playing positions ruined it all.

There's no comparison to the Di Maria situation as he just didn't like living in Manchester (England?) and wanted to be in Paris for the lifestyle. Pogba has lived in Manchester before, he has friends and family in this country. He's also going to be playing under Mourinho not Van Gaal. If we signed him we wouldn't be selling him in a year for a knock-down price.

We know he was kicked out as such but he still had a choice of either staying at Madrid or move to United and try and conquer the EPL.

how did he have a choice of staying at Madrid? Perez wanted him gone.

He's such a whiney prick when it comes to his beloved Real Madrid.

He is. The weird thing is, he's Catalan isn't he? And isn't his team Espanyol?

He's just one of those pro-everything-Spanish people I think and hates the Premier League from what I can gather from his previous snide remarks.

Well a bit of contradiction here but the article from l'Equipe is pretty clear: he wants to finish a business with us. He speaks highly of the club.

In a French Juventus forum they say Pogba shared with Dybala: "I am staying, see you after the vacation". But that was before the Euro.

In between, Raiola wanted to earn some money and Ed has agreed... Maybe? It's a bit too hot now but who knows, Juventus might feel obliged to reject a deal no matter what.

People are worrying too much about the size of the deal. We have to overpay because Juventus is reluctant to sell and we're not a top destination this year due to the lack of Champions League. We're not as desirable as the big 2 in Spain so we need to put a bigger figure in front of the six zeroes in the check.

I'd rather the money goes to a top player than just stay in the Glazers bank account in Bermuda, Cayman Islands or the like.

how did he have a choice of staying at Madrid? Perez wanted him gone.
He had time left on his contract by no means did he have to leave at all. If he really wanted to stay he could have, and fought his way back into the team.

Funny how some think this is a "saga". Its clearly not - just wait til the Euros are done and visit the thread again.

Is Ballbag a Madrid fan? Every fecking tweet I've read about Pogba mentions us as second choice, as if we're forcing him to join us. We're Out-Madriding Madrid... must be some bitter people around!
I don't think Balague really cares where Pogba goes.

For one thing he's Catalan and isn't a Madrid fan. He works for a Madrid-based paper but does most of his work in the UK, so surely it's better for him that one of the world's biggest names is coming to the UK.

I remember when the PL was transition from the best league into the second behind the Spanish league. Ballague would have debates with various English pundits about it. He is pro La Liga unquestionably and loved it when La Liga took over. In fairness to him, he was right at that time about the shift in the balance of power.

Our fans have become so desperate now. It's sad site to see. Hopefully it doesn't happen.
Three years of dire football will do that to you mate.

I'm lukewarm about the signing as well but at least we're showing ambition and, as mentioned in a previous post, maybe the signing of Pogba would reinvigorate the club and put them back on the map.

He works in the UK as a 'La Liga expert'. A strong La Liga is in his interests.

Perez: "Dobby, I mean, Di Maria, you have to leave."
Di Maria: "I want to stay."
Perez: "No. You need to leave."
Di Maria: "I'll stay. I'll fight for my spot."
Perez: "I'll see to it that you never play another first team game while you are at Madrid. Not. A. Single. Game. No game for you!"
Di Maria: "Where am I going?"
Perez: "Manchester."
Di Maria: "feck."
Perez: "You'll love the umbrellas. Now get out of my sight."

Yeah, he's Catalan and I seriously doubt he's a Real Madrid supporter.

I don't understand why people are so bothered about what he wrote. Who cares what Pogba's first choice is as long as he comes here? Madrid will not pay that money for him (stadium renovation, Bale-Ronaldo new contracts etc) and he's bound to come here to a strong team led by Mourinho, where he'll be top dog and hopefully win lots of trophies.

To our friends at Juventuz:
We are usually respectful of Juventus, so stop being disrespectful of United, this is still the biggest English club and one of the biggest in the world despite recent years. Financially strong, which still means something in this business.

If Pogba comes back to United, it's a reunion and not just a move based on the C1 vs EL. He has lived here, he loves the club. And stop mentioning the fallout, he's clear that interests were not aligned but he still respects the club.

@as-95 stop trolling them by pretending to be a Juve fan and playing on their financial strength. That's not even funny! And so childish.
