Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

If this goes ahead, it will literally be lift off for Manchester United as a club again. I absolutely could not care what we spend to get him. It will show everyone else how massive we are. Why wouldn't we want to show our strength? Flex our muscles so to speak. We have all wished for a summer like this, it could be beyond our wildest dreams. Think back to before December and look how far we've come since then. Woodward is literally a corporate version of the muppets in this transfer forum. He and Jose have the makings of the best duo ever. This could be wonderful. Juve are not going to turn down that money, just no way. They are a selling club.

Great post this.

Signing Pogba is United taking its dick out and saying "yes we have been shite for 3 years, but look what we can still fecking do" and moving back to the big boys table

I'm just thinking 3 years down the line:

De Gea (28)

Varela?(26) - Smalling(29) - Bailly(25) - Shaw(23)

Fosu-Mensah(21) - Pogba(26)

Mkhitaryan(30) - Zlatan(55) - Martial(23)
Rashford(21)
I wonder who will actually be in that team in 2019/20 season.
:lol::lol: Zlatan

In theory, but people thought that would happen after the Ronaldo transfer, and in reality, yes prices have gone up, but you didn't suddenly see loads of players going for that sort of money.
But Madrid had to pay crazy sums for Bale and James. Just goes to show that it will affect future deals for us as well as Pogba will then become a sort of standard other clubs will compare their fees to.

Seems a bit crazy so close to France's big game.

Also what if he has a stellar two games and wins Euro 2016 and Madrid say ok then. Hope we're not in the middle of some Pogba to Madrid, Kroos to City and James to PSG merry-go-round.

I told myself i was getting into this transfer stuff this year then things like this go and happen.

Muppet for life i guess

Forgive me for refusing to get drawn in, but isnt this excitement all a bit much seeing as its only coming from a journalist and its only saying we have agreed numbers with The Pog???
Or am i doing this all wrong?!

As an additional point, his marketing value is absolutely huge so i would imagine thats why we dont seem to arsed about blowing 100m on him!

Another thing - if we (somehow) manage to pull this off, surely RM won't sell Kroos to City?

For the record, I'll still be absolutely fecking stunned if he chooses us. I've said all along that we are after him, but he will choose to go to Madrid. That said, I will admit I am paying slightly more attention after tonight's news.

Funny people say they want Germany so the transfer could be faster, but there will be a 3/4th place playoff Saturday surely?
Or is that World Cup only?
World Cup only and other continents' international tournaments. First Euro?

If we get him, I'll come out on balcony and sing and yell.
I don't know what.
But it will be crazy and my missus will beat me until I shut up.

Why we waiting until after the Euro's to bid for him? I can't shake it out my head that it's all crap, because if we can agree with the player himself while he's playing in the Euro's, then why wait until after the Euro's to bid for him? Makes no sense.

They can't afford him, richest club in the world

Because why not? Why do it when he's busy, makes sense to deal with it once the Euros is out of the way.

I'm guessing Pogba, if he does move here, will stay 2 years, maybe 3 years tops. Even without Pogba (and Zlatan lol) this is a great young core though.

The dabbing between him and Lingard is going to be next level. Feck you Dybala, Paul has a new dance partner.

Tancredi saying agent will get €25m.

fecking hell. I wonder how much he has made this summer.

I can't be positive on this but I reckon these agents get told that our max bid is x, and if you can get him for cheaper than our x then you can keep the difference, in that case I think the agents deserve their money (doubt that's the case though)

It aint but in future deals every club can say hey they gave 120 mil euros for Pogba we can raise up the price crazily.

It doesn't fecking work like that. Do you think that happened to Real or Barca?

Teams raise their prices regardless when we bidding.

Why do what? The next bit doesn't involve him.

Not sure but if you believe @Acquire Me Juve have already agreed to sell him to us (or at the very least agreed that we can talk to him). I think the official bid will go in once the whole thing can be finalised. Which can only be after the Euros since hes not allowed to leave to do any deal

Erm. That isn't exactly what a merry-go-round is I hope you know. :p

With this, there's going to be immense pressure on us to win the title now. Hell, we'd probably be the strongest team in the EL too.

You think so?
We haven't overpriced for some players already for instance?

I though he said they have agreed to discuss his transfer. They might discuss and say...not enough, see ya.

I have to say I'm normally pretty pessimistic when it comes to transfer sagas but seriously, with Di Marzio now aggressively pushing the story about United being in talks with Raiola and the numbers being quoted, this is some serious shit. 120 Million Euros is an absolutely ridiculous offer on the table, no way in Hell can Juve reject that surely, he's not worth that much money.

But to us, it is worth it in the long run. The guy is already fantastic and his ceiling is huge, not to mention that this would be a huge statement signing. Seems we really do want him and we're willing to pay whatever it takes. Ed is clearly sparing no expense. Pogba and Ibra is going to have our marketability soaring and the next batch of potential world class players will be drawn to the club with names like this at the club alongside Jose. We're even blowing Real out of the water with this, hence why Marca aren't pushing the "Real want Pogba" agenda, they won't match us financially because they have more pressing areas to strengthen.

You can quote me now, The Pog is DEFINITELY coming home.

Same as last year, Martial wasn't worth around ~60M but the deal was done for the future.

Pogba doesn't need to be present for any of these negotiations. It's all Raiola right now. If he gets an offer that he thinks is acceptable then the player will go with it.

NOT a chance do we buy anyone for £100 and they stay for two years, not a chance. If we spend that money he's on a 5-6 year deal and staying 4 years bare minimum.

I read somewhere that the sell to Pogba was to work with Mourinho for 3 years and then move to Real/Barca. Hopefully though we can go on to be a top club again and he will want to stay longer. As an ambitious player though, I think he will want to one day play for Real/Bafrca

Biggest stumbling block was convincing the player to join. If the journo is right then the deal is all but done, Juve wont turn down a world record fee. He is special but not irreplaceable for them, and since they nicked him from us to begin with, their fans should be ok with it. And lastly, if we dont believe anythign else we can always be certain that Raiola is a money grubbing cnut and he will not give up an eight figure payday for himself.

This is 2016 where player power reigns supreme and he has Raiola as his agent. If it really is his dream to play for the Spanish duopoly, he'll be gone by the time he enters his prime. Fortunately for United, you'll get your money back.

He said we have an agreement to speak with the player....

He should believe that. We have a seriously good chance if Pogba has agreed and Madrid stay out of this business.
