I know this is off topic but are we really the richest club in the world? Wenger just said that we are but Barcelona 's revenue was €675m. Our projected revenue is £500m?
Barcelona will have the higher revenues when their new deals kick in. At the moment I believe that they are third.
Revenue doesn't make you the richest. Maybe our revenue expenditure is lower.
With Pogba signing and some success (hypothetically), we can pull up ahead again.
Think about it. They have Messi all along then Neymar the last 3 years, plus winning CL and all and still couldn't take over us (terrible period with Rooney as our poster boy) and Madrid.
I don't know much about financial aspect, but I think this maybe just Barcelona gives out positive news, not official figure. Official report comes later with all the clubs being compared. There is also report recently that we would take over the top spot from Madrid in near future.

The channel needs a huge shake up. They've had basically the same format and faces for 15 years.

PL improved TV deal is significant better than the La Liga counter part. Ironically, the new TV deal in La Liga actually is more harmful to Barcelona and Real Madrid than useful. The other La Liga teams get a better cut while so little improvement for Barcelona & Real Madrid.
I am aware of it, but IIRC the kit deal was decided as not as good as ours. Let me check.
Edit: what @cyberman said. Nike deal would be better than our Adidas for the time being. However the sponsor shirt deal, they are way below ours so it's even out for the time being.. Just find out the revenue they boast consists of other sportst: basketball, handball, field hockey.... Football wise Madrid would likely still remain the top earner for the time being with their CL win. With Mourinho and the signing of Pogba & Zlatan alone, we likely get significant boost in revenue this time next year.

I think the kit deals even themselves out. They have a better manufacturing deal but their shirt sponsorship is a disgrace. They're placed around 9th with that deal if I remember correctly.

I have to say, I not normally one for the marketing but this adidas campaign is pretty fecking good!
It's absolutely ridiculous how we can compete with Barca and Real in terms of money and status even though in the past 3 years we've gone from Sir Alex to Moyesy and Van Gaal, with no CL football (except that one year with VG where we did, but didn't get past the group stages) and playing ugly football. To top it all, Barca and Madrid have a TV deal that gives them 80% of the revenue and have won CL's in these years, as well as other trophies while we have had one FA cup. And not to mention while Real Madrid and Barca have Ronaldo and Messi as their poster boys, we have fecking Rooney.
Imagine if Mourinho had taken over after SAF... We would have been the richest club by far. It really boggles my mind how Moyes got the job, that's something I'll never figure out.

Yeah I'm really enjoying it. Also for the first time in 5 or 6 years, I look at the players in that video and am overcome with confidence in our squad. Incredibly pumped for this season.

Like I'd rather he not play the first game anyway since he hasn't trained enough, but I'm struggling to think where he might have picked that up? Was it something he did in Italy that's carried over? Did he do something before he left United?
