It's not true though. Look at the line ups before a game, he's clearly smaller than Smalling/Fellaini and not much bigger than of our 6 foot players. Not that it's really a problem anyway, he can reach the goal fine so who cares.
I am not too obsessed about height, but I did read De Gea official height is 6 feet 3, hence my original question. For some reasons, he looks noticeable shorter to Smalling (officially same height), which is odd.

Apologize for started this silly height war :nervous::wenger:

When is the Fifa Ultimate Team transferring Pogba to United? It's getting long now... I've been saving Fifa coins like hell to get the boy!

The only option left for them was to play the "Zidane" French midfielder card and how he would like to have Pogba playing for his team. This time though it didn't work out as top players really want to play in the PL due to the profile of the managers and other top players the league has attracted. Also, it is one of the most challenging leagues in the world (and the extra money helps too).

I'd like to add the Jose factor in here. Sure, Zizou is a titan of the game and also French like Pogba, but Mou is Mou. In situations like this where two clubs of equal financial stature are fighting over a player, the manager is usually the trump card.

I wish I could but our third kit isn't available until 24th of August, thus, too late for the Southampton game..

The store should clearly have some on stock on matchday though, shouldn't it.

I didn't realise the 3rd kit isn't released yet, though I'm pretty sure I saw it on Sale in a Sports Direct near work. So if they are, I'm sure you could pick one up there and have it printed (obviously depending where you're from).

I'll check again today and report back!

It's already been released, however, there seems to be a shortage at the online store (Pogba effect most likely).
Nevertheless if stores in Manchester do have some of the shirts with print on stock I would pop up there and get one. Thanks for your response mate, well appreciated. :)

you're having to defend it because you're arguing against the official stats, with the only evidence being a picture of two heads.
TBF a lot of 'official' player heights look inaccurate to me, you shouldn't take those as gospel. A lot of the players I've met aren't as tall as they claim they are and I've felt since he joined that DDG isn't 6'3. Not that it matters.

Ha that's fine, I agree it's crazy. I remember De Gea's "official height" being recorded as 6'3 when he first joined us, and no way in hell was he that big. He might not be far off it now he's grown a bit, but he's not that big for a goalkeeper.

Anyway I am sure we will get some close comparisons through the season ;)

Do we think he'll start on Sunday?
I don't think he will start. Probably won't even make the bench. I know LVG is gone so there won't be any talk of red zones, or 2 weeks mandatory fitness training but I still think that a weeks training isn't very long and would pose an unnecessary risk when other squad members are better prepared to start the season. I know people will think he has been in training because of his kickboxing instagram posts but the level of training he would do on holiday would more than likely be of a lesser intensity than that of a regular preseason with the team.

On the contrary, he's been in training for 4/5 days now, he will need some minutes to get match fit. He might only get 15 towards the end but he needs something otherwise it'll be worse if he starts against Southampton IMO.

Guess we will see what Jose says today in the presser.

So we can say this guys is our first Armenian ie but when we say first Muslim it's who cares?
Well to be honest I also don't just not care what his beliefs are I also don't care about who he votes for. One thing is a non-debatable fact the other is about personal choice.

You are free to care about whatever you like, but don't tell others what they should be interested in.

So if he can't be fit enough for PL, his debut might be with the Reserve  Was not it too risky with toughest level ( PL) for a player who only have less than a week back to training. You know, players returning from injured often get game time in the Reserve first, due to the less intense nature of those games.

We could have milked it even more. Imagine MUTV dedicating the who day to this transfer. From the moment he lands, all the way to the official announcement inside a packed OT where Fergy hands him the jersey and welcomes him back home.
Of course, as long as the actual transfer had been completed by that point (including medical). Can you imagine the fallout if we'd gone through all that and we found a serious medical condition and cancelled the transfer?!

I think he may start on Sunday if not definitely against Southampton on Friday.

The guy is more then likely in better shape then most of the players who have been back a few weeks longer, there are plenty of pictures of him in the Gym working out playing football and basketball on his holiday.

I have no doubts in his fitness!

Being in good shape is different from being match fit/ sharpness. Zlatan is very fit, but seeing him play so far, he's not as sharp as he should. Yes, he can still make huge impact, but he's a forward so it's less demanding in defensive phase (except defending set piece). Central midfielder is very demanding role, if not the most. A rusty midfielder may cost a team dearly in PL especially with the style Mourinho deploys.

Surprise that Mikel still stays at Chelsea with Conte looks to change the midfield dynamic by signing Kante and the chase of Naiggolan
