No, I don't think our options for the wing are suitable.

I'd prefer to see a 4-3-3 with Martial, Ibra and Mick up front and Pogba, Herrera and maybe Carrick behind
Same here would be perfect but I want to see Schneiderlin as our DM, he will do well under Jose I reckon.

This is what needs to happen but it won't because of the Rooney problem.

If he recaptures his form then I'd be more than happy with Schneiderlin as the more defensive of the 3. One thing a midfield of Pogba, Schneiderlin and Herrera has is energy in abundance which is exciting.

Just read Juves statement, really classy with not a touch of bitterness. Nicely done.

MUTV having a Skype interview with James Horncastle about Pogba and an incoming call notification popped up in the middle of the screen

I think our Rooney problem will be over soon enough. Either he pulls his socks up and delivers or he will be looking for a new club in January.

I can't see that, to be honest. He'll have at least until the summer and even then i think we'd need further reinforcement in midfield to force him out. The rest of our midfield is hardly pulling up any trees right now.

I think Pogba will be used more as a box to box midfielder.

Jose doesn't see him as a midfielder. He'll be out this coming Summer, and we'll be in for Griezmann, who, like Pogba, was also a Jose target in 2015...

I can say that after three months of mupetting on top of failed transfers like Vidal, Sneijder and Thiago, seeing "Manchester United Player" near Pogba's name makes me inexplicably delighted :D. We deserved this, guys.

Jose's comments have probably already been posted but talking about other managers comments about the transfer fee:

"I heard comments from other managers but they'll never have this problem (criticism over spending) because to have this problem you have to be in one of the biggest clubs in the world"

 someone fetch Klopp some aloe vera.

I'm willing to bet that the majority of United fans who didn't want him were either accountants who cared more about our net spend, or negative pansies who were convinced he dreamed of playing for Real Madrid. I bet they've changed their tune now we've signed him.

Yup. I did not want him at United. Thought he will ruin the ethos of the club. Althought the fee is still high at 89, it looks ok. I am worried about how he will gel in to the team and seeing that he played with Rashford and Lingard, it does nto seem to be a big issue. Also the team now needs to be built around him, martial, rashford as they are the future of the club and if we have to make good use of Pogba.
It's just a tad bit worrying how Rooney will spoil all the good vibes in the team by playing in the number 10 postion and spoiling everything.

One of my mates said something along the lines of "Pogba for £100m? He's not on the same level as Messi or Ronaldo. Pass"
I replied by saying that in order to pass on a signing you'd have to at least have the opportunity to sign them in the first place.

These scousers and gooners mocking us would sell their own Grandma to see their club sign Pogba, but what they can't bare to admit is they'd never be able to sign him in the first place.

Haha get in Jose.

In a way, I've actually missed United being a hated club. If we're hated, the chances are it's because we're winning things and/or becoming a serious threat again.

For the past 3 years people had almost started to pity us.

Agreed, I loved us being hated and I can feel it coming back.

Good, soppy wet twats.

Commonsense would suggest that, but surely Mourinho watched every game United played in the second half of last season. If he saw enough to dump Schweiny, why is Rooney still in his plans? A blind man could see that he's not worth his place in the side.

Because Rooney's a couple of years younger and a player Mourinho's coveted for years. He must think he can get him back to his best. If he can't then, fair enough, he'll cut his losses. It's not unreasonable for him to want to give it a crack though. I also think BFS was tainted by his association with Van Gaal, fwiw.

I'm pretty sure this is how everyone at Carrington must of felt upon seeing him

I do hope we give him the sort of freedom his type of player needs. If we shoehorn him into a more restricted midfield hustle and bustle role to accommodate captain nantastic, we're asking for trouble. For me, Pogba is a mostly attacking midfielder, meant to drive forward and create/score, rather than run/dictate the game and win the midfield battle.
