Why does it matter if he cannot score ? He is serving us better this way
Cause scoring goals you know, raise the score, and the team who scores more wins games.

Also, it is nice for a player who is playing good to also score goals. For whatever reason, his shots are almost goals. Miracle saves, hit the post etc, while comparably, whenever Bruno shoots, it ends on the net, even if the shot is of lesser quality.

Really hope he will stay and Ornstein's words give us some extra hope that it'd indeed be the case.

Apart from the the fact only a couple of teams can afford him at the moment given the current financial situation with the pandemic, I hope he sees the same potential in this team that all of us see and wants to be a part of it.

That's not my point. He doesn't need to score, there are other players doing that just fine. He is playing well in this role. They'd be a nice bonus but not the most important thing

His football today was basically Paul Scholes at his best with strong physicality and great at dribbling

More valuable in this role dictating the play than higher up getting those goals and assists.

He deserves to score and he will start bagging them. But the truth is we have many more natural goalscorers in the team: Martial, Greenwood, Bruno. And he is happy to service them. And he is doing it superbly. He knows setting up Bruno for an assist is much better for the team than trying the improbable. He is also playing deeper so scoring is not his number 1 job. Bruno has been an amazing signing for Pogba in particular.

I actually said that he is playing so good, so I don't know why we are disagreeing.

Also with Bruno's arrival Pogba plays deeper. Less goals. But if he keeps this up he will be genuinely considered the best CM midfielder in the world.

He is fecking amazing. No bout adoubt it. Pure class, such a clever playmaker from deep with more creativity going forward than your usual midfield maestro.

Impressed with his defensive contributions. Probably left Matic a bit hanging in the first half by playing a bit too forward/between the lines, which could have been instructions from the coaching to be on the front foot.

For me this was his 'poorest' game since the restart. It was a 6/10 first half, then 7/10 towards the end of the 2nd, with lots of stand out passing. Saying all that, he was still one of the best players on the pitch

Pogba's never been a goal scorer in his career. Just because he's scored some worldlies doesn't means he's a goal machine. His influence as a midfielder is much greater and effective instead of being a scorer. He's a provider from anywhere on the pitch and that is his match winning quality that has very few contemporaries in the world.

Absolutely

He is so good. Shame that he cannot score though.

I hope we manage to extend his contract. This front five is wankastic.

He's just coming back from long injury, even longer than Rashford (I think). Once he gets on the groove, we can expect some goals/assists from him. Now it's all about getting back match sharpness.

Light work. His stats have been sacrificed but he orchestrates everything with his passing. The whole thing is too easy for him.
Why he should score?? He is playing DLP, not AM

To be fair on stats he could easily have had 3 assits since the restart. Created some guilt edged chances for him team mates.

Untrue. He got 8 for Juventus two seasons running, and 13 for us one season.

I do agree goals aren’t at the forefront of his game, but he definitely can score goals from midfield.

Honestly that was a standard Pogba performance, he's always this good. Glad he's getting the credit he deserves. Maybe a chant next season?!

Very reminiscent of his France performances.
I agree. Personally, I prefer a more free-roaming version of his, but this one definitely suits the team better. Funnily enough, that's pretty much how Jose wanted him to play.

No longer can teams put 2-3 players on him and force mistakes, with the current squad and system, Pogba is finally free to do what he does best.

The best part is that I think he is about to enter his peak years and if we continue our progression, the team can become unstoppable.

Very good performance. Controlled the game well and fired a few laser guided missiles..

He's easily the most complete/well rounded one already in my opinion but with the whole side elevating their game as of late and winning games with the arrival of Bruno, I definitely think he'll start getting those plaudits again from other fans and pundits like the likes of Modric and Kroos years ago.

He's always had top 3 talent, now he has a much better team around him to showcase it more consistently

With the front four scoring for fun, he is playing as a proper center midfielder now, and it is so easy for him.

8 goals across how many competitions and appearances playing as an advanced midfielder in a midfield 3 is good return but not amazing or anything. Then him scoring 13 for United, how many came from open play? He was the penalty taker for many of those matches.

He doesn't have to score more goals from midfield because he's still a match winner without the goals. It's a special class quality.

Xavi and Inestia aren't renowned for their goal scoring. Nobody questions their output for good reason...it wasn't their ambition or need to score 10 plus goals from midfield every year. Didn't need to or have to. They just played their game and were world class because of it.

It was always understandable albeit frustrating that he didn’t want to be here. Not anymore. No need to turn his back on this. He’s got all the money and team mates that Real can offer him here now.

I still have reserevations over him so deep when we play better quality opposition, but when we are dominant he's thriving with Bruno as the #10 and him operating more as a playmaking #8.
