Seems to me all clubs need to come to some performance clauses automatically being a part of any players contract. The players hold the financial strings more so than the club with regards to out going transfer fees - clubs should have a way to hold players accountable without potentially incurring massive losses on a transfer. Especially for so called star players where I assume the performance clauses can only benefit the player and hurt the club and not the other way around. That's just wrong imo.
This would only work if every club does it. Gone are the days when a player was beholden to the club - it's time that clubs have a bit of that power restored to them.

No fecking way he's done his ankle, absolute bullshit. Was him playing against Watford and Newcastle just to convince us he wasn't forcing his way out?

I would love to see the actual video of Ole saying this. It's a very frustrating situation, I hope Solskjaer isn't being played here.

feck off!! Sick of this bollocks now, hope we sign a couple of midfielders this window and let him rot on the bench until the summer, might well genuinely be injured but I just get the feeling him and his agent are angling for a move and using shithouse tactics like these knowing full well he’s currently are best midfielder and we‘ll just pander to his needs.

I don't think there is any clubs wanting to buy him now for 100 million or more at the moment. Maybe this summer, but we are probably stuck with him even if he wants out. I can't see us accepting low bids for him right now.

I don't expect him to leave in Jan, however I pretty much expect him to spend the majority of the season having this mysterious injury and missing most of the games before finally getting sold in summer. As I said previously Herrera had the same mysterious injury last season. Seems that's how Ole deals with players on their way out of the club.

Can't he be just injured?
No he can't have possibly had a reaction to long term injury like any normal player. He came back just to show potential suitors his fitness and then faked it again.

It looks dodgier all the time. The guy is being payed by the club FFS!

The comments from Raiola just smack of him trying to shift the blame for the transfer off Pogba and onto him. Hard not to be highly suspicious at this point.

The agent is the players mouthpiece. If the reports of what Raiola said is true surely you'd expect some sort of rebuttle from a player who supposedly "loves the club"

Ole is nice, but he isnt stupid.
Anyone with eyes can see Pogba wants out asap.

It is his way of showing interested clubs that he isnt injured anymore and is ready to go and play from the start for whoever buys him. His in and out of the squad in that period before the transfer window only makes sense in that regard

if this was the case I would be delighted him doing it. don't see it though

Injured which is fair enough. Those holding against him must hate Bailly and Dalot.

Anyway the concern should be with the club. Pogba and mcTominay out surely Jan business is a must.

If you believe he is injured then I have a bridge to sell you

The injury is so vague on top. No details. For months on end its "he's hurt his ankle". Hilarious if people are actually believing this. When he goes watch him be fit as a fiddle

He's easily taking the piss. You can't just plead ignorance to the obvious here. How many times do circumstantial excuses need to be made for him? Why is he so bullet proof to fans? Its so bizzare.

I’m #PogbaOut and sick of the circus around him, think we’ll be better off as a squad and a club without him but it is very, very easy to pick up niggles and struggle to get match fitness when you’ve been out for months. Ankles especially are usually just repeatedly fecked once you injure them and all we really know is his long term injury was in that area.

Doesn’t surprise me that it could be the case nor would him taking the piss being the case be surprising.

Just using logic rather than emotions to think about what’s going on in the face of all this ill will. It’s really a genuine possibility that he could have re-injured himself and an even bigger one that he just isn’t anywhere near the fitness required at the minute. Use your head and try and discount the idea if you’re so sure he’s taking the piss.

Sell him for £100-120m, buy Grealish for £50m, get Eriksen on a free in the summer & go all in for Ndidi. Perfect.
I doubt Utd would get that for Pogba, he has played so little this season I don’t see how we could justify getting anything like that kind of money. It could well be the case that his agent has played us and almost backed the club into a corner forcing to sell and for a cut price.

Horseshit is he injured. He’s got that same mysterious injury Herrera conveniently got towards the end of last season. Some say it’s a neck injury from having your head turned in a certain way...

....player rushed back too soon after only 3 days training and aggravated his injury. What would he gain from not playing? Already been said he's not leaving so what would he gain from not playing?

We should go hard for 1-2 CM's this January and forget about Pogba. If he comes fit again, make him prove his worth. Otherwise, sell him. Total waste of wages this season.

You must be so entitled to not go to work when you are paid as much as he is. Together with Raiola’s comments, there isn’t really anything to justify his actions..

You see his ratings above? Less he plays better he gets it seems.

Must be said, whatever the real story is, you’d think he’d have tried fecking about last year rather than the year which ends in a major tournament.

Unless he’s been assured by Deschamps that his place is secure no matter what he does.
