Gotcha. I think Lukaku does, we just suck more than Belgium and haven't won enough for it to get attention.

I think Pogba is just a bit clumsy when he speaks English. His comment about not showing the right attitude where he was ripped to shred was actually a sign of leadership in my eyes. He didn't blame anyone but himself, when it was reflective of the whole team. But his combination of his weird way of expressing himself in English and the press crusade to tear the kid down for any little things makes him look worse than he really is.

That's probably true and we don't know what he's doing in the locker room. Maybe he is leading the team, but there are points in matches when things aren't going for us where I'd like to see a little more desire from him. Perhaps that's too subjective though.

Maybe not 200, but it must be closer to that, rather than 100m.

The market has gone crazy but not to the point that a club is ready to buy Pogba for this price. I even think that despite the fact that the market is not the same as it was before the transfers of Neymar, Mbappe ... Pogba saw its value depreciate.

It's true that he won the World Cup and he was very good. But he wasn't the talisman, he was more in a supporting role.

And these 2 seasons at Manchester United, although I think they are underestimated, we can't say that he was brilliant.

We are far from the 22-23-year-old Pogba who played as an attacking midfielder with a spectacular but effective style as he won the cup and the league in Italy and had a great statistics season with 15 assists and 10 goals in less than 50 games.

With his hype at his peak and the crazy potential in an offensive role, he didn't even cost 100m. But now that he's older, his hype has gone down and he's not playing in an offensive role anymore, he's going to cost twice as much?

We just have to see how the Juve fans were disappointed to see him go and how many fans of Manchester United would be happy or indifferent if he was sold to understand that 200m for Pogba is nothing more than a pipe dream .

Good Riddance I say.....Pogba is the one Utd player who I absolutely would not miss if he was to leave tomorrow!!
Had enough of his attitude and now just dining out on his world cup win, Lets be brutally honest,Ferguson called it right the first time around!
Jesus wept. It's commonly known that Pogba left of his own accord after multiple attempts to sign him into a new contract.

I hope this is media stirring shit because after saying "There are things I can say and there are things I cannot say, otherwise I will get fined..." this was also after Jo praised him gave him the captain's arm band where we won the game.

So I can see Pogba saying this kind of cyptic shit to the media and other shit like the fat cnut going after Scholes and Pogba being silent all of a sudden really made me dislike the lad. But my gripe is the timing of the statements (if the quote is to be believed) is right after we gain some kind of positivity and momentum where there is nothing of real substance for the media to latch on to and Pogba goes out of his way to feed the vultures. If the quote is true then feck him and the fat cnut both can feck right off.

I like pogba but him and his agent are acting without any decorum whatsoever and using the fans and media to get a reaction out of the club. Alot of United fans are desensitized to losing a big name since Ronaldo left but he was truly irreplaceable and that's the difference.

Pogba is very talented and very strong mentally but he is either very easily influenced (by mino) or is simply naive.

Fwiw I have always stated that I think he will stay with us for the foreseeable future and will sign an improved contract and will also play under a new manager next season. That's just my feeling on the saga. I don't think any other club will pay our minimum price tag for him.

P.S - IF he does join Barca then I truly think he will crumble under the pressure because believe it or not, United fans and the board are very tolerant compared to other big clubs.

To conclude... It's a win win for us given the contract we have him on. We've got him and mino by the balls so to speak. I just hope we stand our ground. Woodward has been lambasted lately but I think he is one stern businessman who won't let some fat agent do his business over.

Stats are nothing, watching them would be more useful to get an idea of how their performance is like, I'd say he has been alright for France, couldn't influence the games more

Stats don't tell everything. He had a solid game and helped his team in a hard fought draw against high quality opposition away from home. Wasn't spectacular and wasn't terrible. Just like the rest of the team.

The thing about Pogba is that he is a very talented footballer but not exactly the type that leads the team on the pitch on a consistent basis. To get the best out of him, you need a team of talented players and multiple leaders who are at the top of their games. My conclusion is based on what I have seen of him in Juventus, United and France. I think the big problem with Pogba at United is that the club relies on him too much for leadership on the pitch. Not just the club but pundits and even opposition fans expect this. This puts pressure on him a lot. Most of his best moments seem to be the period Zlatan was on the pitch and when Matic was in good form and had gotten a bit used to United last season in terms of providing leadership.

I admit this is very general and also arguable but it's just my observation. At Juventus, he had little pressure and their were many leaders in the squad. That allowed Pogba to play with less expectations.
A lot of this can also be observed in the French team. Pogba is just another super star in that team unlike at United.

This is why I think he could do very well at Barcelona or even Madrid.

Who cares. Showed up in the WC when it mattered. They can shove international friendlies up their..
Tbf they most likely would have won the world cup without him anyway. Dont think someone else going in for him would have changed much. Mbappe, varane, griezmann, Kante were all far more important to Pog in the world cup. He had a good world cup, but the 3 who I would say would have stopped them from winning it would have been if any of Mbappe, Varane or Kante werent in the side.

Pogba was just as important as Kante. I always hear Kante allows Pogba to play his role however Pogba taking away the distributing responsibilities from Kante was just as important. There were countless times when Pogba's long range passing set up Mbappe or Griezmann and opened up the defense. Kante is the more consistent performer but when Pogba is in form there's no debating who's the better overall midfielder.

Is this serious? Pogba was 10/10 in this world cup. Involved in all goals of the group stage. Was the link between midfield and attack. The players complimented each other. Varane, Kante, Pogba, Mbappe..

He had a very good world cup but at the end of the day his performance for United is the only thing that matters. De Gea was trash in World Cup but I didn't give a feck about it as long as he's class here. He needs to start performing here. That's the only thing I care about.

He was most definitely not 10/10! He had a good world cup, very average group stage but good in knockout games, but he wasn't even top 3 in terms of importance for them IMO. Personal opinion anyway, don't expect many to agree but I still think they would've won the world cup without him, considering the way they played. Grinded out results with the overall system, and hitting long passes for Mbappe to run on to and Griezmann leading counter attacks. He did compliment the others well, but what he brought wasn't anything exceptional during the world cup IMO. It was good and consistent play, but France has a lot of depth that his role could have been played by a few players with similar success.

Anyway, like el3mel says, good world cup, but literally none of that matters when we're talking about United, and he's been more trash than good for us.

Kante. Kante is still the better overall midfielder. Kante's peak level in an individual big game, peak level in any individual season and overall average level he keeps are all far better than anything Pogba has shown. Yes Pogba has talent and can spray some nice long passes and can dribble well. Kante is literally the best defensive midfielder in the world. He's a better player and would be far more important to building a new team than what Pogba would be, every single time.

Kante is the best defensive midfielder, but he is very limited attacking. Pogba's defensive limitations are not to the scale of Kante's attacking which is why I would take Pogba. Agree to disagree.

Yeah. For those that only watch and care about the English premier league.

Casemiro is the best DMF in the world.

Don't disagree much about your other points though.

Kante is an exceptional defensive midfielder but he cannot unlock defences like Pogba did. For all the defensive strength France had without a player like Pogba to make the final passes they wouldn't have scored enough goals. Those long passes you talk about... it looks quite easy from the outside but it was central to Frances gameplan in terms of hitting teams on the counter attack. But let's agree to disagree.

Kante and Pogba both compliment each other. Kante is the shield and Pogba is the spear in that midfield. They both suffer without one another because what they lack is more noticeable when there is clear lack of creativity or lack of protection for the back 4.

I thought Mbappe, Pogba, Varane, and Kante were the 4 best players, but Kante wasn't as good as Pogba in the final. So I would argue in favor of Pogba being top 3 at the World Cup for France.
