He was shit again today. Really needs to start owning some games.

No middle ground between being shit and owning games?

I thought he was very good. I wanted the ball to be passed to him every time we were in possession, then, each time it was, felt confident about what he was going to do with it, and almost never disappointed with what he did. Could he do better? Of course, but he certainly was far from "shit". His presence was one of the key factors today in our play being always positive and oriented forward as it was.

There is but he was shit again today.

How was he shit? Supporters like you make me annoyed

His overall influence on the game. A world record signing, I expect a lot more than he's contributing at the moment. I know price isn't everything but there were a bunch of other players having more influence than him, again. Fans like you make me annoyed, just turning up is enough?

Turning up isn't enough. But he worked well and helped the first goal. He also controlled parts of the game fantastically which we are looking from him.

Just because he didn't get a goal or assist you call him shit. Hilarious.

At what point do you mistake influence on a game with this? Where did I call him shit for not getting a goal or assist? Get a grip.

Good at times but still lots of room to improve, he's not replicated his best performances for Juventus with us just yet.

When you have people like you most likely voting him down on purpose to fit useless agendas on an online forum, is it any surprise?
There are over 230 people who voted. Must be a whole load of us if thats true, which would mean we probably have a point.

He's majestic. If, for some reason, you think he's been no good: support him anyway. This guy is exactly what we need in the middle.

One thing is clear for me, right now he lacks understanding of the game, intelligence. That was not really seen at Juve, because he had a very intelligent partners and Conte set up the team in a way that everybody new their roles. And Allegri has not change much, he actually developed what Juve had under Conte further.

He helped us dominate that midfield. The trio of him, Herrera and Carrick looks so good. We had a nice good press and ability to keep the ball and pass it forward.
He isnt a finished article (despite what his transfer was) and he will continue to improve which is so promising for us.

hes what weve been crying out for in midfield for a long time (and bar some shit defending at times, and shit finishing our position would be much better and more an indication than where we really are).

He's got so much ability on the ball. The fee was too high but Im happy we've got a very good player added to our midfied. There's more to come from him. I do wonder how he's feeling, coming from an absolute top side to these bottlers who cant proper challenge for 4th must be a huge reverse leap.

It was and it always was one of the main criticism of him. He has all the ability in the world but the mental side of his game isn't on par with it at the moment. Hopefully he'll develop it later, the guy is still young and he is having one of the best managers around to guide him

He's up for the challenge, he knew very well the type of shit our team was in when he signed and he said he enjoys doing things the hard way. I don't care about the fee as we can comfortably afford it and we needed him, imo in a few years time we'll look at it as a bargain.

He is contributing very nicely for the team. I don't care about his goals and assists tally as long as he contributes, and today he did as well unleashing Herrara who assisted Mata's goal. He's going to be incredible for us.

He was OK I thought. Maybe better than that, he played fairly well. I still want to see more though.

Did well but I still kind of want more from him. Like its more a testament to his ability and physique and all that, but you always feel like he can single handedly tear a team up with his mix of technical ability and physical prowess, shrugging players off like they're nothing. Also showed some nice passing including growing a liking to the classic Rooney switches out to Valencia (though I guess people now realize that they do it because Valencia is a class player who is always an excellent outlet down there). Won't hear that in the rooney thread though. But he really can dominate games if he's on form. Has creativity, can score with his head, can score screamers, can pick out great passes, can dribble past players easily, can run past them once he gets going (kind of like Toure here), and shrug them off like nothing, etc.. Just needs to get everything to click and really impose himself on games instead of taking a back seat role sometimes.

Played well, like he has done in almost all games so far. Not 90m well, but still there is little to no movement ahead of him which is hindering his game. If we can sort ourselves out with a top striker he will be devastating.

I remember last season, Scholes was on BT at some point when Valencia wasn't getting games, and he said, if he were still playing Valencia is the first player he's want with him so he could ping balls out to him all day long like that.

He had a fairly good game but not a stand out great game. He's a very complete or well rounded player but like a duck can fly, swim and walk, it can't do any of them extremely well. Looks to be a jack of all trades and master of none. If he can turn some of his good points into consistent world class aspects, eg. throuh balls or dribbling, then he will start to justify his fee. It is however rare to find a player that has some many good points to his game, and hopefully over the next 5 years he polishes those into consistent greatness.

Some people still call him shit or quiet ffs, the trio of Coq-Ramsey-Elneny just cannot stop him so they keep fouling him, every pass he makes is almost always a positive one, if Martial played like last season and Shaw get his act together we'll have perfectly balanced left and right side

If he had a game like Ozil had yesterday then it's okay to call him shit, but not this game, Pogba - Herrera duo in front of Carrick id the best midfielder we have right now, and they sure delivered yesterday

We must be watching a different player. Pogba is probably top 2 in dribbling when it comes to midfielders. His through ball ability is great too.

Improving in those areas won't make him the best as he has enough already. It's elsewhere.

Thought he was excellent yesterday, absolutely bossed the midfield exchanges and almost every decent opportunity came through his interplay.
So much class about him, and also think he's been showing it a lot more consistently than some fans give him credit for. Worth every penny of the transfer fee, and more.
Massive help having Ander playing so well beside him too.

If we took all the chances that arise from his interplay and stuff we'd be top of the league, seriousky speaking. He is not going to dominate over 90 minutes but he will always do something around the box that will open up defenses.

Thought he did well yesterday but definitely more to come. I'd like to see him stretch his legs a bit more in possession, seems to be playing a bit within himself and it will be easier for him when we become more settled and start to properly click.

Good game from him. We dominated the midfield when we really tried too. He was unlucky not to get the assist for mata.

He's basically playing the left side by himself with darmian sitting back and martial hiding away somewhere.

I love the midfield trio of him, Herrera and Carrick. Its a real shame about Carricks age. Replacing him in the summer is vital.
