Hes having a shocker in last week. Not sure why he is. Trying too hard and over doing it. Then acting like a child with whinging and throwing his hands about. Maybe a carrick beside him might help. Or might not

Might be better to put him on hard training for a week and let him off from games. Needs a proper pre season after his last season at Juve and Euro's.

He needs to improve but he also needs a better midfield partner.

Maybe he needed an even longer holiday?

He hasn't looked arsed apart from his debut

I don't want to see him Again on Social media until he gets going in this team

He's actually made us even worse. Play him as the number 10 and drop Rooney. Thing is then you need a mobile striker in front of him and Zlatan isn't that.

Pogba got bullied out of the game again. Awful performance. He's letting his team mates down, and his team mates are letting him down.

Sad state of affairs at the moment.

Poor performance but at least some passion from him.

Needs to played in a midfield 3 with Rooney no where near the side.

At fault for the second goal, and generally just poor overall. Pogba is at his best when he has the freedom to express himself and have fun. Not when he's been asked to be a DM.

His game is hampered by Rooney being on the pitch. As mentioned this week he'd do much better in a midfield 3 on the left.

Not saying it's all Rooney's fault, but Rooney occupies spaces Pogba would ideally operate in.

Signing looks more and more like a marketing one with Mourinho not certain on how we're supposed to lineup.

Isn't that exactly what we did against Feyenord? Played him at 10 in the first half, with our most mobile players in front of and behind him. He was rubbish.

Also he needs a proper DM at the back

Far too much defensive responsibility, he needs to do everything while being unfit and the rest of the team shit and useless too.

That's unfair. He's clearly arsed. If anything, he's putting himself under too much pressure. Needs to start delivering though. I'm sick of reading excuses on here trying to blame the manager/other players for his below par performances. He's just playing badly. Simple as that.

Maybe he should have been arsed to cut his holiday short, to complete his transfer sooner and get some kind of a pre season

He frustrated the shite out of me today

Hey, I'd like to know whether you think Pogba can be deployed as a DM?

That's fair of you to acknowledge he's been trying because I see the same thing. He's clearly frustrated and is showing for the ball constantly and running (on/off the ball) but nothing has come off consistently. He definitely needs deserves critcism but there should be 'blame' or acknowledgement that his form isn't helped by playing next to two immobile, pass-back-first players in Fellani and Rooney. He's literally the only one in midfield, who's trying to be progressive and creative with it.

Maybe I'm harsh with Fellani there because there are times, he wants to pass the ball forward and in between the lines but Rooney's god awful touch and movement as the link between midfielder and attack means there's little chance of any build up there.

Pogba deserves more criticism than defending but let's not ignore the questions about why is he poor.

Excuses about ideal midfield partner need to stop. 2nd half vs City he played as a 10 which many believe is his best position, he was poor. Part of midfield three with 2 mobile mids in Herrera and Schneiderlin vs Feyenoord, poor again and now today in a midfield 2 with Fellaini. He has to pick up his own performance.

We have bigger problems than Pogba at the moment, I just don't see what our game plan is. We can't create anything through the middle as our players shit themselves as soon as anyone is near them, ball inevitably goes out wide and after 4 years and 3 managers we still rely on Valencia crosses to score a goal. It's baffling how poor we are despite the unbelievable amount of money that has been spent.

The Caf is a lie. The Caf is a lie. The Caf is a lie.

He fought for the team today and that's about the best I can say for him, not worried about him though as we need to get the midfield balance right as well.

Pogba was good at Juve because he had Vidal (Khedira) - who was running all over the field and won dozens of tacklings - and Pirlo (Marchisio) who's responsible for the build-up play. Carrick or Schweinsteiger could take the Pirlo part.. .

Yeah, but Juventus was playing 3-5-2 & 4-1-2-1-2 when they were getting the best out of Pogba. They did try out 4-3-3 in the beginning of the last season, but immediately stopped because it wasn't working and they sank down to 12th place.

He wasn't very good today admittedly but looking a bit deeper, the majority of his failed passes are to the left wing with most of those appearing in the first half where Rashford was really poor too. Not defending Pogba here but just thought I'd add this as a short contextual element to his struggles. There is a clear correlation between his work going array when the closest attacking team mate to him is having a bad day. Perhaps it's an off day or a sign of inexperience, maybe his decision making should have focused on trying to find passes in the opposite direction instead.

Feel bad for him.

Even Messi would look useless in this team.

He's a wonderful player who is being played out of position to accommodate our fat wanker of a captain.

Scholes called it right before the game. Don't think it will ever look right until there's a Pirlo (Carrick or Blind) playing behind him and a specialist midfielder beside him. Which was Marchisio at Juve, but could be Herrera here or an on-form Fellaini (not ideal).

I remember Marchisio being injured and out of commission more than actually playing behind Pogba last season.

A bit off topic, but he would not. He is a different type of player, capable of doing things on his own. Even having 4 players marking him constantly would be beneficial enough.

And play Herrera next to him. That would be my short-term solution for sure.

He looked great in his debut but since then he has been in a downward spiral and in the last two games he has looked very poor. hopefully he can turn it around soon because he is definitely a much better player than he has showed us so far.

What's annoying (and shouldn't be as it's not related and Juventus are much better than us anyway) is Higuain performing for Juventus whereas Pogba is struggling big time.

We need to play him in a way which made us pay the world record fee for him. If we wanted someone to play in a w man midfield, we shouldn't have paid a world record fee for someone who's not worth half of that in that role.
