It's the simple things that he fails to recognise. Don't like it when he dances around when an easy pass is on.

Came in to say this. It's not achieving anything other than giving a chance for other defenders to position themselves better, while not exactly confusing the defender he's doing it to either. It's the worst part of his game at the mo for me, which is saying something because it's not the worst thing in the world. Hopefully Jose clocks it and they work it out of his game

To say something positive: Two absolutely stunning long passes in ~5 minutes

The great thing about him is that as his physical attributes fade, he's already (at 23?!) got the skill set to play the sort of role Carrick, Alonso, Pirlo et al matured into.

You just described the reason why he's not capable of being effective(well. As effective as he could be) in a midfield 2. If he's asked to be attack-minded he forces too much stuff, if he's asked to play it defensively he's tidy but gives you little offensively.

I think so too. Especially that performance for France against Holland as a deep midfielder gave a hint of his ceiling in that role.

feck's sake, he could have double digits for goals quite easily.

OT posts 4 months pregnant :lol::lol:

Such an intense love story

Honestly how many times has he hit the post? It's amazing. Is there a compilation somewhere?

Hit the woodwork 5 times in the Premier League, that makes it 6 times. Amazing.

This guy is going to provide us with endless entertainment for years to come. The fact that he's (probably) going to improve as well.. £89 million will be a bargain.

Very true, and here's hoping that his physical attributes don't fade, let's not forget he's built like Usain Bolt rather than Paul Scholes

He'd have a billion assists if his team mates could finish

He'd also have a billion goals if the posts were narrower

Some of his passing tonight was class and his one man war with the woodwork continues, I still prefer him witrh more freedom though.

as somebody stated, he will be joy to watch for the next 10 years if he stays, already so entertaining and top3 player in the team, can see him easily play as no6 when he ages, even till his later 30s if he wants, if Scholes could this guy can too..

All this posts about Pogba being here long term worry me a bit. How long before them two come sniffing ? He is already causing so much sensation, I am getting worried. Sorry about the doom and gloom post:(:(

Dear Redcafe,

I have something terrible and shameful to admit.

I wanted us to buy Mahrez and Kante over him in the summer.

Please forgive me for this spate of lunacy.

Sincerely,

shaggy

Pogba is here to stay.

I think Verratti would be more ideal for both of them.

He's hit the woodwork more times then he has scored this season.
