What a monster he is. The level of dynamism and athletic ability he has for a CM is incredible.
I don't believe I've ever seen a midfielder play like Pogba before.

It's almost as if he doesn't even look like a footballer, if that makes sense.

His power and speed combined with his technique on the ball is simply amazing.

4 minutes to play, come back looking likely and this bloke decides to watch it through a tiny little screen.

Arrrggh this World today.
Maybe he is watching the play the same time as filming it? The camera is placed quite low, it's quite possible he was holding it at his chest or something while watching.

He plays for us

I bet that's what Madrid fans say week in week out too when they bought Ronaldo from us
I'm just so happy we have a player like him. Injury permitted, he's a legend in the making. What a monster of player in such a young age.

The only area where he lacks (IMO) is his positioning when the opposing team is in possession. Otherwise he is a complete midfielder, what a player all around.

I would swap him for any Barcelona player apart from Messi, Neymar or Busquets.
I wouldn't swap him for Busquets. Neymar, Messi only.

The long ball to Fellaini was made look better because of Fellaini's control. That was hit like a tennis ball. Exceptional control.

True, although I imagine Fellaini would have preferred the ball on his chest, and have a better chance of controlling a football with his chest than his foot anyway.

I wouldn't swap him for Busquets. Neymar, Messi only.

To be honest I wouldn't swap him for anyone. I made a thread on this with Martial last season and it's the same for me with Pogba. He's ours and I want to see how his story loads out at United.

This. He's my #1 favorite at United now - Martial a close second.

If we hadnt signed Pogba who would have been his replacement in the team ?
Rumour was Matuidi. As much as I like and rate Matuidi, I would have been gutted if we couldn't landed Pogba back then and went for back up plan. While I had no firm basis to put faith on the Pogba signing, I had been a firm believer he is always the right man for our midfield problem. While people were disappointed with his EURO performance (less flashier than his usual self), I said something like Pogba had ability to play his new role to high standard and it an evident to his quality and stature. Perfect midfielder for Mourinho team

Probably Renato Sanches though they are completely different players. I'm assuming Renato would have played the Herrera role and Herrera the Pogba role, though it's not exactly ideal and would have seen us play with a slightly different style.

He had just signed for Bayern,no chance of getting him.
Yeah, but Mourinho was very interested in him before the rumours of Pogba began. He even said in an interview that had he been the manager at the time, he would have fought for Sanches.

I believe Renato Sanchez is a separate signing than Pogba. Mourinho has been a long time admirer of Pogba, and did require his signing at Chelsea if we recalled all those report back then.

Best passer in the league, in my opinion. Not the most consistent, but the best. The way he sprays the ball around the pitch is just effortless.

Also, I might be exaggerating, but I cant remember a centre midfielder with his skillset. Pace, strength, passing range, dribbling, flair, shooting, technique, vision, stamina, etc. The guy really has got it all.

I desperately want Pogba, Martial and Luke Shaw to become legends at United. I can't stand the sight of losing one of them.

If we hadnt signed Pogba who would have been his replacement in the team ?

Well, i dont think we'd be playing a 4141. We're doing it because it means Pogba can play in his favoured position - left sided midfield. Had we not signed him, I can imagine Mourinho would have stuck to his favoured 4231 position, therefore probably putting Mata there.

Ibrahimovic
Martial Mata Mkhitaryan

His passing is so under rated. Some of his passes are Scholes esque. Fantastic technique.

I wasn't sure about him when he was at Juventus, but now, after seeing him play every week, he truly is an exceptional player. What surprised me the most is that he is the player that pushes the team forward when we are behind.

Amazing player and he's only 23!

Hes a leader.

How about a 23 year old Messi?

I wouldn't swap him for Messi now, but yeah, you'd be insane to not swap him for a 23 year old Messi. The only reason you wouldn't is because of sentimentality. I do love having him back at the club and he seems genuinely passionate about United and happy to be here.

I'm 100% sure Barcelona agree with you. As would the rest of the premier league.

How about a 23 year old Messi?

Would swap him for a 23 year-old Messi of course. But given the overall situation at the moment, I wouldn't.

We've got the most complete player in world football in our midfield. Why would you swap him for Messi, someone who is notoriously known for not being able to handle a wet, windy Tuesday night at Stoke?

As wonderful as he is, you'd have to be fcuking mental to say you wouldn't swap him for Messi.

Both players right now? When you take into consideration future prospects, their ages, their uniqueness to their teams, their passion for their clubs, and a host of other factors, well no, I wouldn't swap Pogba for Messi.

I'd probably take a 23 year old Messi over any player. These hypothetical extrapolations, however, cause much ado about nothing.

But I digress. Paul Labile Pogba, folks. Enjoy him now. He is ours. He is now in game changer mood. Once the crossbar and the referee stop screwing with us, Pogba is going to score more

Paul is a good player and will become a great, but hypothetically, yes I would totally swap him for Messi.

Messi is the GOAT.

Any team with the GOAT leaves a mark on history.

I wouldn't want to swap him for Messi, not because it doesn't make sense to do so, but because I want to see Paul fulfil his story here.
