I've never seen a player have so much control of the ball yet be so far away from it. Zidane was very good at it and could use both feet but Pogba strides with the ball without losing control. He is a special player.

My man of the match today despite him blowing several good chances. Other than that, his work in midfield was outstanding.

One thing I do hope he works on is his heading at goal. He normally wins two or three good aerial battles in the box every game, but the majority of the time he just doesn't place them well. If he can develop that part of his game further he can turn himself into an incredible goal threat.

What a player. Fecking Florentino :(:(

Monster

You really missed a trick there. Imagine him with Modric in a pivot.

Edit: just out of curiosity, as a neutral do you think we missed a beat not going for Dele Alli, Dembele or Henderson instead of Pogba? And do you think he would get in the Spurs midfield?

I've advocating for a year that if we managed to sign him, a midfield of kroos-modric-pogba with the bbc upfront, we might very well have stopped the game of football and move straight to 2019.

Oh well it wasn't mean to be. Alli is even better, it's just too bad we'd have no chance of signing him away from tottenham:wenger:

I love watching Pogba play, more so than any other player since Ronaldo. He creates so many 'woah' moments with his passing, shots from distance, little bits of skill and even his immense strength when he brushes players off like they are nothing. He takes risks all the time which is why he has some sketchy moments but the good outweighs the bad by a considerable distance.

Serious comparisons to the likes of Henderson and Alli :lol:

When the goals start coming instead of narrow misses and the woodwork he will be unstoppable.. He had everything else.. He is playing like a man on fire..

Been doing some dirty work lately that is going unnoticed. Absolute beast of a presser when he's into it. Wouldn't want to see him charging at me if I was an opposing midfielder.

The great thing about him is how two footed he is. You cant really show him one way or the other (even though he favours his right foot), cos he can pull of some good passes with either.
His strength and ability to get in between the ball and opposition is fantastic.

Also want to see one or two more of those lung busting runs he produced in the second half :D

Still not sure whether he can make the bench at Tottenham :wenger:

Beside Pogba's obvious quality, I just want add that in today game he is improving in timing his run into the box. With more time to hone his finishing, I can see his goal scoring rate improving drastically in near future.

He really could have scored a hatrick of goals. Has he got Manchester United's greatest midfielder of all time potential? This question i guess is more aimed at the 'oldies' that has had the privilege to have seen all United's great Midfielders of the past and present.

Am I the only one who thinks that those Henderson/Alli jokes are getting boring? Definitely overused.

Well, Charlton is actually a great comparison and a role model for Pogba to look up too. Same ridiculous all-roundness, powerful shooting (although Charlton's was better), basically unlimited passing range, great work rate. Even the same position slightly on the left that Charlton occupied at his peak. Don't think that he'll be quite as good, but only a few midfielders in history are.
On talent alone he's probably got enough to overcome Keane/Scholes/Robson (discounting Edwards for obvious reasons), although it's early days, of course, and anything can happen.

He's amazing to watch when he's on song. A monsterous athlete with technique to match any midfielder around.

He reminds me a bit of a younger Gerrard with better technique but less of a goal threat.
