Patrick Dorgu | 2024/25 Performances

WHat a player. I had doubt when watching his Lecce's clips. My goodness. He got that dog in him.

I love him already.

Looking like a solid signing so far. He was our only decent player in the first half and consistently offered a good outlet out wide on the rare occasion we got into the final third.

Thought he played well. But, our wings now look unbalanced as we don't have anyone on the opposite side to match. Him on one side and Amad on the other would have been ideal.

Very impressive. Everything Dalot isn’t.

That’s what a wing back is supposed to do.

I’d be prioritising a RWB probably above all else if Amorim is gonna die on this system.

It’s too vital a role to have someone as abject as Dalot.

He’s not weak and slow, don’t make stupid mistakes. Can’t ask for more from a Man Utd signing these days

All this positive talk and everyone shit on him signing a few weeks ago

Physically, good left foot, fast, aggressive. Good performance at a ferocious Goodison.

Hopefully he doesn’t reduce himself to the level of the squad. Mazraoui had an excellent start for us too.

- ‘Young lad’
- ‘Coming in half way through the season’
- ‘New league’
- ‘Struggling team’

All the Redcafe clichés than exonerates our players from poor performances are readily available should he prefer to rely upon them, but to his credit, he has instead opted to not make excuses and just gotten on with his job.

Credit to him, was exceptional today, and I imagine he will only improve.

Not sure about his overall technical level but his baseline physicality is good. That’s a start.

Excellent player. The type we need bad. Can run all day and impact on opponents

A players with actual athleticism, shocking! That's what happens when you're up for the fight. Either you get past people to put crosses in or you get fouled and relieve pressure. Sure, his delivery needs work. But it's a good start and at least we won't be easily bullied on his side.

Looks like a very capable LWB/LB with the required physical traits for this league.

Because he is 17 and too similar to Amad to spend 40m on. Personal taste, but I'd prefer a right footed RWB over him.
If he is anywhere near as good as Amad, he should be the first one in. Amad btw can play as a 10 and on the left.

Best of a bad batch in the first half, ok in the 2nd. None of our players look more than a £10 million player at the moment so not too surprising that he doesnt either

Likes of Real, Liverpool and City have players with this physicality and athleticism in almost every position and it tells. To play intense for 90 minutes guys like Zirkzee and Dalot ain’t going to cut it.

Good. Athletic, willing, tracking back, running forwards, decent touch, decent technique and good attitude.

Just hope he doesn't get dragged down by the passiveness of everyone else.

He is not near as good as Amad for now. Very talented with heigh ceiling probably, but still young. He could prove me wrong of course. But I feel as if he'd need 1-2 years of time when he joins us, while we have very limited funds.

Hopefully he doesn't fall into the United talent drain as he has a lot about him

This is what the Premier League has been about this season.
I'd say it's been that way for a few seasons now. It's ridiculous how weak our squad is compared to other PL sides. It's like watching late Wenger era Arsenal with a bunch of lightweights every week.

Fair enough. Although it seems Ineos has decided to take the short term pain and hope that buying a lot of talented young players will work out.

That's why I'm so vocally against signing Quenda now. He'd be the perfect signing for 2026 if we have a bit more stability (hopefully).

20, just joined the club, displays a constant willingness to run, take on players and desire. Shows up a lot of his team mates, they should be donating their wages to him. Our best player on the day by far.

Because he is 17 and too similar to Amad (but with less goal threat) to spend 40m on. Personal taste, but I'd prefer a right footed RWB over him and someone who's older (between 22-25).

That’s a fair point. Looking at Amorim’s most recent Sporting side, he had a left-footed left wing-back and a left-footed right wing-back, which worked well for him. With Dorgu and Amad, we have that versatility, and with Quenda, we’ll have someone who can operate on both the left and right. I understand, though, that age could be a concern in terms of experience.

Dalot and Højlund, both lacking timing and intensity though, are good athletes and Garnacho a decent one. Other than that, very very poor.
Rasmus is no athlete. He doesn't win duels and has no pace. Garnacho is still a kid so a bit harsh to judge him but hopefully he gets stronger. Dalot is ok, nothing special but he does have enough to survive(not thrive) in the PL
