That's the thing - the English bowlers have been superb. We ended up with a first innings lead in the last Test. The top 6 have been hopeless.
Indeed. Both teams have retarded batting line ups...I think a lot of the spasticatedness is down to DRS, they're too scared to pad up. Great for the game mind...about time we had more of a balance.

Good decision to protect Broad - he could get an invaluable 25-30 runs tomorrow in the morning.
Effectively we have accepted that our best batsmen are Broad and Swann. Once you realise this Anderson as nightwatchman makes sense.

Why the change of umpires? Taufel has always been a an average umpire but it seems he has been ultra conservative with his lbw decisions at times.

I've always liked Taufel, I think he's a good umpire. Worst umpire IMO is billy doctrove.
Much harder to be a referee as players crowd around you, much less respect, incidents off the ball, hostile atmosphere and you get little/no help from the linesmen. Umpires can make mistakes but DRS can rectify the shocking decisions.
Just saw how Broad was given out, unbelievable IMO. With such a long stride and him being tall, he shouldn't have been given out IMO. If the BCCI Apply the DRS, Pretty sure no-one will be able to beat India in India. Ashwin and Ojha are both very good spinners.

Not sure what you're basing your confidence on, but it certainly isn't on what we've seen in this series. As we know, a lot of top-level sport is played in the mind, and the English players will be pretty worried at having to chase even 100 or 120 after the abysmal collapse in the last test.
Pietersen looked more confident and Strauss has some runs. Sure Bell, Morgan, Cook have been flat but in a low scoring game we only need one or two batsmen to get a 50 and we will do it.

Looking tough for England right now. It's really confusing as regards to which team is the best in the world right now, England looked like it before this series, but I'm not sure about it right now.
They will not learn to play against spin but if they can affect their mindset in how they approach the game. Pietersen and Bell were more confident and purposeful. Both didnt have the bit of luck sometimes you need to get a good innings together but overall they seemed better.

England are no1. Get India to play with DRS and then we can discuss. As has been pointed out so many times its absurd the ICC has let India veto and that the cost of the system is picked up by the broadcasters.
India aren't even in this discussion of the best teams today, we're 4-5th best right now.
Oh and If DRS happened in India, it'll benefit India more than anyone else. We're the best players of spinners, so it won't affect us at it'll affect anyother team.
