Surely if a boxer has been using a drug that numbs the hands for seven years he'd certainly be unable to box today as his hands would have been broken too many times, probably causing long-term injuries that can't be healed. Pain is often the brain's reaction to stop doing what your doing or get the feck out of there. Yep. If it goes ahead on 13 March as planned Pac will have fought De La Hoya, Cotto and Clottey in 15 months at welterweight, and pulverised Hatton at Ricky's actual weight class (where he was undefeated) during that timeframe too.
Mayweather debut at welterweight was back in 2005 - he's fought Baldomir, Judah and Sharmba fecking Mitchell, as well as Hatton and Marquez who had a combined total of 1 fight at this weight class (Hatton's very dubious decision over Collazo) prior to their fights with Floyd. In between Floyd beat De La Hoya at junior-middleweight on a close decision. In his year at junior welterweight, he beat Corley, Brusseles and a painfully washed up Gatti.
Pacquaio's done at least as much in 1 year at 140+ as Mayweather has in 5 years, and that's without even getting into Pac doing more at the lower weight classes than Floyd did at 130 and 135.
Its clear as day to everyone bar the likes of Alex who has the greater resume.

To be honest, I think they're both in considerations, but Mayweather needs/would use this fight victory more.
Mayweather would certainly make the Hall of Fame based on his record so far, but he's not even close to the Durans and Sugar Rays of the boxing world. Pac is closing the gap all the time and could well be top 10-20 of all-time by the time the dust settles on his career. At this point Mayweather would probably need to go on a run like beating Pac, Mosley and Paul Williams to get close to him historically, and there's nothing he's done in over 5 years to suggest he'd take on fights of that magnitude.

Manny has already said he'll take the test. As big an idiot as Arum is, he's confirmed it too. He's apparently spoken with Pacquiao who has told him there are "no conditions at all anymore." Arum has repeatedly said this yet people, bizarrely, are still on the fence about who's to blame for this fight not happening.

Make no mistake, Mayweahter's camp has also dodged but so has Manny's camp. Both are a bit uneasy going into this bout as there's a shitload at stake here.

All the references to that date being for Manny was simply to put the attention on Floyd, as usual.
It's lazy to say Manny's camp don't want the fight, as if saying otherwise is somehow unfair to Floyd. How many times does his camp have to say they'll take the test only for Floyd to ignore it?

My point still stands though. Both sides have dodged. What Arum should be doing in that interview is saying to Floyd, 'Ok mate, we've said before we'll do the test. Let's meet and discuss this fight. Send your peoples, we'll send ours.' Instead, all he's doing is shooting down any possibility of the Floyd camp actually being serious.
