For my money that's just Capello's way of saying that Wilshere essentially doesn't need a midfield partner.

:lol:

I think it makes it clear that Capello was just using Wilshire holding in a 2 man midfield, because he had to play next to Lampard, who was captain. Clearly Lampard wasnt going to be the holding player

i have this sneaking feeling he might become another Saha. If he moves to another club next season, he'll suddenly be clocking 20-30 games for them a season. Not 100% what he was before, but certainly good enough to finish his career in a good premiership side.

He'll be back.. fergie is keeping it under wraps
he is probably in the nike training center in the US getting ready for the Liverpool game

An actual update (of sorts)

DTguardian daniel taylor

So from '2 weeks' years ago to 'not getting into that'.

Oh dear. It's well and truely game over for Hargo.

I'm sure we'll learn from this one. Never sign a player unless we know the FULL extents of his injury/fitness.

And how would that work exactly? He'd be lucky to be available for selection in 10 games a season

We should put a big countdown clock on the homepage ticking down the seconds until his contract expires.

What about one that keeps track of how much he's cost for every minute of football he's played.

Don't actually need a clock as he ain't gonna play again :(

So he has cost us so far...around £860,000 per game. We could have payed Ronnie that to stay!

£9,364 per minute - but it ain't the guys fault you know!

£17M transfer + £70K a week estimate
26 full appearances plus 13 sub (average 45 mins)

In fairness to the guy, he has made a good impact for the amount of games he's played.

How many full games has he played?

The second the clock ticks to July 1 2011 I'm guessing the drinks will be on David gill.

His recent injury was obviously more than his hamstring.

Surely this has to be true. He shouldn't be out that long with a hamstring injury, considering he didn't seem to be in that much pain or discomfort when he walked off.

Jeez - it's even worse. Just realised he's been here four years not three!!!

Damn near £1 MILLION a game or £10,555 per minute.

Feck we could have had Ronnie and Messi for that.

And all he did was being instrumental in winning the C.L

Good contribution that year. Very good player. How did he ever pass a "medical" though. Munich must have been laughing their asses off.

Would love to see him back in the shirt but don't think I will.

I think he's not taking the hint from his knee's. Well I presume it is knee's that are gone again. I haven't heard of a 4 & 1/2 month hamstring injury.

Perseverance = Admirable

Hope = Minimal.

He just needs to accept its probably over - I'm no expert but this sounds like the kind of case where he could end up on crutches or in a wheelchair at 45.
