mind you watch the cnut make it back with a month to spare, get picked by capello, then get crocked while with england, ruining him for next season as well.

This is quite possibly what will happen.
 
This is getting ridiculous.

IMO he is a superb player but this is just too much.

He must be one of our worst transfers and waste of money.

Hopefully he returns very soon because I like him but shouldn't we give him a pay as you play contract.2 years of salary without playing?
 
It wouldn't surprise me if its March, whats taking him so long? They stated November months ago & that went.
 
What's up with the confidence bit? He is a professional so should he not be fighting to get back into the team, just like Gary did? Or is that just some media bollocks?
 
Well there goes my dream of Hargo and Anderson this year.

Given his performances in Europe that first season, including a cracking performance in the final... whose to say if we'd have won it without him in the team? You're getting into ifs and buts there. Just for that season he was worth it for me

Hopefully there's more to come though
 
Think he would be our best central midfielder this season if he played. Fletcher has done well but Hargreaves really stands out when he's on fire. Plus it'd offer more support on the wings. Best crosser we have on the team hands down.
 
Could really do with him at the mo, even if just to help shore up the defence. Hopefully end of Jan is Fergie taking the pressure off him psychologically.
 
YOu just know he is going to pop up at Madrid after his contract is out and have 4 years of perfect health and be excellent for them

If he could get back any sort of fitness and not to mention keep it, could he be our new right back? Because let's face it, none of the 79 other guys we've tried there have impressed. O'Shea's been solid, but he's still John O'Shea.

Hargreaves and Valencia on the right sounds like a perfect balance, pace and power overdrive and not to mention Hargreaves' Beckham-esque crosses.

I still have hopes that he will be back.
 
A few months back there WERE a few articles, easily dismissed on here, about him not making it back before january... or worse.

We got seriously screwed on this one. Let's just at least hope 'Hargo' is using his salary well and got a haircut...

That's a really odd statement. He hasn't played football in over 15 months so he's very unlikely to feature much at all for the remainder of the season.

And when has Hargreaves really ever "stood out" in central midfield in a United shirt? He hasn't. People are looking back with rose-tinted specs and seeing what they want to see. Hargreaves never looked like an £18m player in his first season at the club.

He'll in all likelihood be behind Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson, and Scholes in the pecking order if and when he returns.

He and Anderson were outstanding against Liverpool and Arsenal at the Emirates and Anfield.
