Just got this, played a few games (mostly as D.Va) and had to rush for damn work.
Enjoyable game.
Enjoyable game.
added you mateKostuch#2865, PC, I play on weekends mostly now untill I'm done with my exams, if somebody fancies a game gimme a call.
Junkrat is brilliant, I think he jumps above Reinhardt as my favourite character in the game. This is probably the most fun shooter on the new gen!
Which offense character is good? I heard good stuff about Reaper and McCree but I cannot get into either of them. I like Tracer.
This is the best FPS shooter I have played in years. While it can be frustrating playing with randoms, when you have a few in the same group it's brilliant.
One thing that does bug me is the way a lot of people just refuse to change character to try and counter the opposing team. I've lost count of the number of times you see someone getting killed over and over again in the same way. Baffling.
As someone who usually mains support characters, I agree. I should probably be changing characters, too, but then the team dies too fast during fights because I'm the only support. This is the best FPS shooter I have played in years. My pet peeve as a support is also tank characters, which I heal, run away when a Reaper runs and guns straight for me, and kills me. Then the tank usually dies 5 seconds later. How about protecting the guy that's keeping you alive?? Grinds my gears. I realize that this is just a part of playing with randoms. Can't wait for ranked play, that'll be a lot of fun and the games will probably be much more close.
Also, I just have to say: the value of the game, being bought new at 60 euro, or whatever the price is, is steep as in that there isn't that much content. I am still enjoying it, but it feels slightly bare bones at the moment. I realize that a lot of the future content will be free, but still. I think it's a valid criticism. I am still playing it and loving it though. Halo 5? Dull. Doom? Fun, but not as fun as this. Been missing something like this since TF2.
Manchester United reportedly in bidding war with Fnatic over Overwatch team
It's weird how that could probably go in the United forum.
Pharah and Tracer are incredible attackers. I've finally managed to cut my ties with Junkrat. It's good that Pharah and Tracer are completely difference, when I get the feel of what the opposite team are trying to do I can just choose one of them and be pretty sure that it'll work. I went 20-6 yesterday in about 2 minutes with Pharah, I think I've been positive K/D in all games using either of them and very efficient at clearing the path (K/D ratio is not that important here but when you clear 4 enemies within 15 seconds during Escort it's kind of useful).
This is so addictive. I want to get home and play.
Pharah, Solider 76 and Genji are my preferred offense characters. A Mercy giving you the damage boost when you're playing as Pharah and Soldier 76 is really hard to stop. Have played a few games as Tracer but couldn't get the hang of her which was frustrating as I've come across a few Tracers who have destroyed our team. It's absolute hell when a good player spends the entire game just running behind your team.
Recently been playing as Mei a lot and she is quickly becoming my favourite character. Love annoying the other team by spamming ice walls and she is incredibly effective at killing tanks.
One thing that irritates me is whenever I finally find a good team of randoms, they shuffle stuff up next game and I usually end up on the team we just thrashed.
Yep it's hard to get any consistency with randoms. Sometimes you feel that they know what they're doing but often you will find yourself in a team full of tanks or offensive players.
Replication of characters should be removed too. If you get a coherent team which uses Tojbjorn and Reinhardt plus a healer then it's basically impossible to beat them, especially when you have to attack the target and find yourself fighting 25 towers and shields.
Yep they're virtually impossible to beat on some maps. They really need to make a limit of one character per team to avoid it.Mass turrets on defense are sucking the fun out of the game for me.
This would be amazing
Echo the sentiments about Tjorborn, His turret is too good at lower/mid level play, im sure for "pro level" its easy, but hardly anyone has the luxury of that.
Only positive is it keeps Tracer in check which is by far my most annoying hero to play against.
Had a match yesterday where the opposition team was entirely Torbjorn. Couldn't get anywhere close to the point as you'd have 2-4 turrets shoot you if you tried to kill one off them. There are some maps where it's really hard to get the distance/viewpoint to out-range them with a sniper too, but moreso when you have to try to pick off loads of them. Seems an impossible situation really.
Well, for a solo player anyway. If you have a team it is probably doable.

Had a solo game tonight where the other team was defending Kings Row with 5 torbjorns and 1 lucio. We struggled until I suggested we get 3 pharahs, 1 junkrat, 1 reinhardt and 1 mercy. Worked like a charm and we won the game.
Pharah is great vs static defenses because a direct hit from the rocket is 120 dmg & there is no fall off dmg like with McCree's left click. Don't make the mistake of floating around in the air with her when fighting turrets; pop in an out of cover just to fire the rocket. Torbjorn can't repair faster than your rate of fire unless you're extremely far away.
I'm guessing PC? There's no way for me to suggest anything to a team of randoms on PS4 as barely anyone uses voice chat.

PC Master RaceJokes aside; yeah I wouldn't know what to do other than switching to pharah yourself. I've heard on reddit that torb/bastion are very difficult to deal with on consoles.
Yeah, there are ways to deal with it, but must people on console don't use chat (myself included as it'd wake the kids) so organising this would probably never happen
Aye my mate was telling me that. I laughed saying that nobody plays Bastion on PC because he's so easy to deal with.
I showed the mate I just mentioned a Genji vid from a PC player and the first thing he said was 'holy shit people talk to each other on PC.'
Can't say I've faced any problems from Bastion on the PS4. You can at least flank him or catch him unaware. Those fecking turrets lock in on you within a millisecond even if you stick your toe out.
