He's more like the Ronaldo that joined us than a young Messi imo.Because the guy is the next Messi. You make room for players like him. I'd gladly chuck a 100m at him and more if that's what it takes. Guy is insanely talented.

They have Messi. Is he going to sit on their bench? And he's not the next Messi.

So Barcelona are gonna buy him for £100m?I doubt they'd consider that, they have no reason to given his long term contract and the crazy market atm.
£100m for a bench player? Interesting.By the times he's fully ready he'd be good to replace Suarez or Messi would drop deeper. Even if he's not a starter he'd get loads of game time given the lack of depth at Barca.

Can't see barca forking out the 100mil or so it'd take to get Dortmund to the table. They have much more important spots to fill.
What I meant was that his dribbling is more flashy like Ronaldo's was rather than pure effectiveness ala Messi. So think you're underrating Ronaldo's dribbling though, he was ridiculously good at beating his man before he changed his style. His vision is definitely on another level though, agreed.By the times he's fully ready he'd be good to replace Suarez or Messi would drop deeper. Nah. His ridiculous dribbling ability and vision is reminiscent of Messi. Ronaldo never really had this level of dribbling ability even when he was with us.
If he moves (I doubt it's this summer) he will join Barca
Would make sense as well to be fairI hope so

Barca is obviously a bigger pull than United and Jose is not really known for bringing young players up. But I hope that United would at least try to sign him in case he becomes availableHe likes the club & vice versa, would be a nice fit on that right side.
I think he'd be amazing for you. The chances he creates through pure pace and beating his man first time will result in shitloads of goals with Neymar and/or Suarez at the end of the crosses. Would love to see him at United, but that's next to impossible. He likes the club & vice versa, would be a nice fit on that right side.

I wonder if these things will ever change. Barca and Madrid hoover up the true top-end superstars and this will be no different. We currently have Messi and Ronaldo at these clubs and it'll soon be Mbappe and Dembele. It's hard not to envy that.
There is a Messi/Ronaldo effect that can't be denied. These two have done so much for those clubs.
It wasn't this way before Ronaldo went to Real. Remember Heinze wanted to go to Liverpool over Real back then? This wasn't an anomaly either.
I said this in the Mbappe thread as well. Both these guys will go for 100mil+ when they move. Say United got them and they went on to have a fantastic 2yrs, do you think Real/Barca could afford them anymore? I don't. They'd just be priced out.I kind of gave up on him, the guy dreams of Barcelona. I don't see him coming to Manchester United, and if he did it'd be a stepping stone. He's pretty smart in that he turned them down last season to join Dortmund knowing that if he performed they'd be back for him, but maybe this is still too soon for him. Either way, this guy is off to Barcelona at some point soon. People say Kylian Mbappe is off to Madrid or dreams of Madrid when he's never said so, Ousmane actually did say that and now he's dead to me (kidding).
Probably their response to Real signing Mbappe. What's the point in him going to Barca? He needs to be playing every week.
Unless they're willing to part with Neymar and we bid for him.
A commentators nightmare.I'm wondering how many Dembele's you could fit into a quality team?
The one from Celtic as a striker
The one from Dortmund as RW
The one from Spurs in central midfield
Its a shame there isn't one that plays at LW. i've love to had a top 3 of Dembeles.
When we were at the top of the tree the worlds best didn't want to come to us either....often choosing projects before us. Now we are a project they would rather go to the best teams....
Yeah I think we were a bit lax when we were on top. Should have been more ruthless and maintained the highest standards. SAF being so good at winning things allowed him to let a lot of talents pass us by without it affecting our success that much.ONLY because we would penny pinch on fees and wages.
We always tried to pay less than others were offering or that it needed for the deal to be done.
Thankfully, Woody has canned that approach.
I'd sign those two if only for the total confusion in rival defences: "you told me to track Dembele!", "not that Dembele, the other", "nah, Jimmy has that one", "and who's tracking this Dembele then?". The more the merrier.I'm wondering how many Dembele's you could fit into a quality team?

Apparently Dortmund have slapped a £79m asking price on his head.
In today's market this seems like an absolute steal
Get on it Ed

I'd pay that without blinking, he's one of the biggest talents in world football and exactly the type of player who we have been missing for many years now.Apparently Dortmund have slapped a £79m asking price on his head.

Its of course BS and Dembele will go nowhere this summer.Apparently Dortmund have slapped a £79m asking price on his head.

He doesn't. What makes Ronaldo is his physique that Ndembele will never have. Ndembele will never even reach Henry's level. He will be another Ribery. No one expected Ronaldo to score 50 goals in a season or become the goal machine that he is today. He struggled to score goals when he first came to United. There was a lot of dribbling with no end product but we believed in him. Dembele similarly has that same talent and he exhibits similar qualities as a 19 year old Ronaldo. I think the talent is the same but it's the work ethic that to reach Ronaldo's level is something that is up for question.
Which talents? For one...Martial is a better finisher and sprinter than him. Maybe he is a better passer although AMA mot sure. For me Ndembele's ceiling is prime Ribery.Well he is. Talent has nothing to do with frustration, his ceiling is simply higher. Can use both feet to an exceptional standard, is just as good if not a better dribbler and is younger. Only thing Martial is better at is finishing, which isn't essential for a proper winger like Dembele.
Martial is a great talent and can become a top player but Dembele has a higher ceiling. Not saying Dembele will become a better player because in football anything can happen, but he's more gifted a player
Ndembele Ndembele Ndembele
Who has quoted this figure? Where have you heard this? Now they are quoting 90 m for him, when Dortmund got him for something like 20 m.
