Yep. My dream signing now (I feel Mbappe will be Madrid bound).
Why do you think we weren't interested?
He's all set to be a top class player but his finishing technique is terrible. I know he's already more of a creator than a scorer now but I wonder if he'll drop deeper eventually and become a pure playmaker.
I disagree. He's not scoring a lot, but he's usually not that far off. Most of the time he's just missing half a meter or a bit of force for a goal, but you can see that he has good ideas. I wouldn't be suprised at all if he turned out to be a good scorer once he calms down a bit infront of goal. Just look at his goals in the cup semi and cup final.
Not sure what people are suddenly so surprised about. He shat on us last Summer and the talent was pretty evident.
The question mark has always been attitude. There were some absolute horror stories but nothing much since he went to Dortmund. Probably best for him to stay and develop there.
No idea mate, don't run a player library like others seem to. I just remember reading about some very immature and unprofessional things he did back in France and made a mental note: "head not screwed on tight?". That's all.
How in the name of all that is holy do so many of these kinds of players end up in Dortmund? Do we have a scout in France?
Let's get this guy over here before Barsa sells someone and can afford him.
You're speaking my languageMartial - Morata - Dembele
Mkhi
Pogba - Herrera/Fabinho
Mendy - Lindelof - Bailly - Valencia
De Gea
A man can dream.

Mbappe I have the exact opposite view of. When people say he has only 6 months to show, etc. all I care for is his head clearly seems to be right. If his head is right you can confidently project those 6 months forward, while you couldn't with someone like Robinho, for example.
Were we one of them?He ripped up Ligue 1 at Rennes. There was plenty of interest from a lot of clubs he just chose Dortmund.
Were we one of them?
France 3-2 EnglandWhy a sudden uptick in posts on this thread? I doubt Dortmund would sell him after one season.
Thought there was news when I saw the bump.
Mbappe is Rooney, Dembele is Ronaldo lol. Dembele really has to work on his end product, but what a talent.
Mbappe is Ronaldo. Dembele is Messi.
If by we you mean the Caf then definitelyWere we one of them?

Would take this chap over Mbappe everyday of the week.
Unbelievable dribbling skills, exactly what I think we're missing.
Annoyingly that isn't even that far off either. Dembele/Fabinho/Mendy is going to cost us what, 150m? that's easily achievable. If Martial could find his last year form we would be on fire.Martial - Morata - Dembele

Try more £200m and Dembele simply isn't on the market we aren't getting him
Just think what they would have won if they had kept those players :O That team could definitely rival Bayern and go very far in the CL.Virtually every season they sell at least one of their star players with Lewandowski, Kagawa, Goetze, Mkhitaryan, Gundogan, Hummels and Sahin ones that instantly come to my mind and they still have players like Aubamayeng, Dembele, Reus, Ginter, Rode, Pulisic, Emre Mor, Bartra, Guerreiro and the returns of Goetze, Sahin and Kagawa.
You just described a player of his age... in a few years he will learn maturity... he reminds me of Cristano. He's far from his prime in my opinion, and perhaps he may never reach it. Dembele is by far the most talented of all the young players in world football right now in my opinion. He has such a natural gift for dribbling, can pass and score with both feet, incredible crossing ability already. But whereas with Mbappe I'm convinced he will deliver on his promise, there's still a lot of question marks over Dembele. His mentality is the only thing that can hold him back besides injuries. This is a guy who threatened to retire and live in Senegal a year and a half ago. He's found a good place in Dortmund to develop, and even if he is unhappy with the firing of Tuschel, he seems set on staying in Dortmund (which he confirmed in a French interview right after the England friendly).
The point is, I think he needs a stable environment with a coach that has patience and can develop young talents because he can be frustrating just as much as he can be brilliant in a game and I'm not sure Mourinho is the best coach to handle him. He's someone who right now can create a moment of magic in every game and be decisive with an assist or a goal, but he's also prone to a lot of stupid passes and questionable decisions. If he's moving anywhere in the summer, it's not to Barcelona because he wants to be a starter, which he would be in Dortmund.
Very very high price... we shouldn't spend that much.... But we are so desperate now, I think we have to.£79m asking price is decent for the lad, we should tap him up and splash out on him. He's better than any attacker we have.

Fabinho has a 40m release clause, Mendy was approx 30m, Barca bid 50m for Dembele already, they would surely accept 60-80m for a young player they only bought for 12m last year.No chance. Those 3 at current market rates would be £200m minimum.

He was injured early in the game. But I love the power and speed he gives you on the left.I notice Mendy being very highly rated. But was he any better last night than Bertrand? Seems a good crosser of the ball and gets to the byline.
