Get your head on straight!

As a manager it’s clearly not working out and it would be almost a miracle if that should change.

As a player it’s a different matter. He is a legend and it’s not even worth discussion. Almost everyone fans of United or other team would agree that he did a lot great for us as a player. He always had the United first mentality and is a generally good person.

I want to see him replaced, but the narrative that everything about him, even his player career, is shit is just sad.
Where did I say he was shit ?

I have no idea if this is true, but I can believe it.

Im starting to doubt that we will.

He does but its was actually a gift from a charity.

I genuinely would rather we keep Ole than hire Southgate and that's saying something.

Of that I have no doubt, that's why I think Ole is still there. You cant sack Ole without the entire coaching staff, and you cant hire a complete interim coaching staff... there in lies the problem.

Yeah, I don't think that's the reason mate. There is a shitload of interims available that could make something of this squad, even if it is only a short-term fix.

How about Arsene Wenger? He'd at least get the respect of the squad for his acomplishments. He's a brilliant coach with a wealth of experience dealing with top tier players.

Southgate is another wet the bed like Ole.

Will sacrifice attacking talent for more defensive approach. Play 7 defensive players.

I'd take Rogers over Ole but I'd put Ronaldo in charge before Southgate.

Though I find the idea we're really keen on Rogers strange. Has our appeal diminished so much that we can only look as far as Leicester.

id let a group of 1000 fans just vote on gameday lineups before southgate. Just give them an approved list of players to chose from and dont allow gks to be random players and im fine with it vs that boring tumescent shite from southgate.

Highly unlikely but id love Wenger to take over for a year or two.

Il be honest I am not enjoying your situation as much as you might think, Wenger would be interesting but at 72 does he want that, would certainly be exciting for us fans. I looked at the list of available coaches and it makes grim viewing of the ones with PL experience you are looking at Neil Lennon, Big Sam, O'neill and Bruce really.

I'd like to have Wenger here just because I think it would genuinely be an interesting thing to watch even if its not successful.

I'd like to have known in my life that I got to see both SAF and Wenger manage United.

Dont see it happening though.

Can we get the match going fans to wear ETH face masks like they did with Klopp or did I imagine that...

I'm now convinced he won't be sacked until the summer. It can't really get much worse than this. I mean we were humiliated by Leicester, Liverpool and City.

We'll probably win against Watford and they'll use it as if it's a corner turned, then will lose against Chelsea and anything can happen against Arsenal.

We'll probably be within the fight for top 4, meaning between 4th and 7th, which will be seen as enough for Ole to end up the season.

It really depends on your definition of a club legend which is a topic done to death. I tend to think it's someone of notable events or someone who stands out amongst their peers, others see it harsher and it's almost statue worthy players only.

Ole is a legend because of that goal but he's not elevated amongst his peers so for me so that poster isn't far wrong. He's way down the list of players I'd rate as legends to be honest.
Some don't think Rooney is a legend so no point getting into that debate.

Agreed and it sends me to the 'Depressed' thread. Puke.

They're hoping he can get the win against Watford, we will certainly lose to Chelsea, haven't beaten Arsenal under Ole so expect to lose/draw that one. After that we have a run of fixtures that can only be described as p*ss easy on paper, he'll pick up enough results there to carry him through, staggering and crawling into next season.

If we get top 4 it will be dressed up as a massive success and he will remain - having delivered the only thing the glazers care one iota about.

At some point the players will start making noises. If we lose a few more games then the leaks will become incessant and the board will have no choice.

In any case it's deluded to think we would go for Ten Haag in the first place. Rodgers and Poch are the only viable options for the Glazers if they are forced to do what they desperately don't want to and sack Ole - that's just how it is.

Very likely. But after Arsenal, who i think we can beat, we have an easier run of fixtures like Norwich, Brighton, Burnley, Brentford. CP are playing well but still. They are probably banking on keeping things from a head and expecting us to pick up a lot of points during that run. We'll see.

All the reporting now is that United are in for Rodgers. Honestly, I give up.

Can you imagine the Scousers laughing if they beat us and Rodgers is our manager.

They're trolling us now. They really are. This club is dead.

Honestly, now I'm praying that Ole proves me wrong and goes and wins a big trophy this season. I can't be having Rodgers. No way.

I'm wondering what Sir Alex has to say on Rodgers. He's apparently been very involved in keeping Ole at the wheel.

I'm still praying the players will force him out. Time for the players who actually want to achieve more than being embarrassed week in week out and have zero chance of winning anything, step up and demand action.

This is quite depressing when knowing it's a legit possibility.

Think that's very unfair to Rodgers. You want an example of how Rodgers measures up to Ole - look no further than what, 4 weeks ago, when they absolutely played us off the park and put 4 past us. They weren't 'hoofing it to Vardy' much that day, they played through us at will. Conte is a good manager for sure- I agree that we missed the boat on that one. But Rodgers would do an equally good job at United, imo.
And the FA cup as well.

The problem is that there is no free manager around, who would be perfect for United.
Go and bring a contracted manager, its not like it never happened before, call Ajax and offer them money to break the contract, not that the leeches (owners) are interested in doing so.

Rodgers is a good manager but he doesn't subscribe to a strict footballing philosophy or have an idea of 'the perfect game' which Rangnick, who many on here think knows what he's talking about, says all of the elite coaches have in common. Michael Owen also talked about this last week and most Utd fans seemed to agree with him.

Rodgers chops and changes formations and in game tactics based on what's happening in front of him, which is much better suited to a club like Leicester than a United where we think we should be imposing our game on the opposition rather than the other way around. Whilst he'd do better than Ole, I don't think he'd be as good for us as someone like Ten Hag.

Cute PR spins but if they actually had a plan he would've been let go after Liverpool drummed us at home without breaking a sweat

Their reported ‘patience’ nonsense is transparently because they hope that it either gives them time to find someone while Ole most of the blame/public beating or that we limp to 4th with him
