"What the plan is, in my opinion, is a move for Brendan Rodgers in the summer"
He doesn't have a clue like the rest of us.

Yh it's odd. McT you know what you get, he's not very good most of the time but he puts a shift in which Ole seems to think is how to win games. How he handled de beek is very poor. Not sure what was the point of wasting 35 million on the player who barely starts.
Also McT and de beek are around same age, one plays every game. So its not just age. It's weird tbh, the way de beek is treated.
Don't think so, any quality manager at 2nd tier club probably looks at us and thinks he could get us challenging for trophies within 6 months. We have a ridiculous squad atm. That's without even mentioning the prestige and the money that comes with the job.

Malcolm! I've been calling him Avram the past few days.Yeah I was wondering if it was inherited from Malcolm? I've always taken little interest in the family structure.
Maybe I'm assuming too much that they'd give more of a shit about a prime asset or understand Woodward's shortcomings.
The commercial side ostensibly appeared to improve around the time of the Glazers, with all the tyre partners etc...but the mushrooming Sky TV deal must've accounted for a lot of that.

What the plan is, in my opinion, is a move for Brendan Rodgers in the summer, although if results continue to dip, don't rule out a move for the Leicester City boss during the season.
The problem is that there is no free manager around, who would be perfect for United.

Obviously I could be wrong, but it wouldnt surprise me
Then who? Surely its Ed Woodward and co calling the shots.
Been saying it for a long time - Rodgers would do a great job here. His teams play good football, he promotes the yoof and it seems like players enjoy playing for him. As for the liverpool connection - I wouldn't worry about it. He was run out of there after a disastrous end to the season so he's not exactly a legend for them. I think he has improved greatly since then too.
Again I have to admit that Goldbridge is right, if the club want Rodgers then get him now not in the fecking summer. It's probably just spin. They're still hoping that Ole can ride out this storm and secure top 4 so they don't have to sack him.
They must know though that if Ole doesn't win his next four games he cannot continue otherwise it will be chaos. And we're not beating Chelsea and Arsenal in this form.
Can he really do any better than Ole against Tuchel / Klopp / Pep / Conte? His tactics in big games are to just to hoof it to Vardy and have him chase.
We are finished if he comes in .. if they knew they couldn't do any better than Rodgers, they should've just gone for Conte instead.
We're struggling to beat Watford or Palace too, mate. Everyone knows it - we are in freefall. I agree about Goldbridge too - listened to his show this morning and he's right. If we really wanted to replace Ole, we could have done it already. The board don't want to front the cost of replacing him so they're crossing their fingers he turns it around - which of course, he won't. The irony of it is that if we wait too long to replace Ole, top 4 will be gone, no CL money, and it will probably cost more than replacing Ole now.
You're putting a positive spin on it!
Take a look at United's record in the final month of last season

The lack of foresight and long-term thinking from the club is astonishing but it doesn't shock any of us anymore I think. We're struggling to beat Watford or Palace too, mate. Rangnick as an interim with Ten Hag taking over in the summer and Rangnick moving to the DoF role sounds pretty fecking good to me. But it's not corresponding to the brilliant idea of our board to keep control of footballing matters which has led us to such great success since Fergie went.

Would be a dream scenario, however the idiots in charge of the club will go for Rodgers and keep the useless back room team.
We should be looking at ways to the current owners out of the club
Of course not, we already have one! We're not going to attempt to hire a second tier manager so these points are irrelevant.
Rodgers has been backed and is in a pretty long contract, 2025 I think, he has been treated very well by the club their and I feel he probably feels he owes the club to stay for the season. Poch has absolutely no reason to leave midseason as he could win his first major trophies and PSG triggered his extension in the summer.
Do you expect anything else from this lot? They cannot even organise a piss up in a pub?
Both would happily join United in the summer. It's naive to believe otherwise.
Huge salary + bonuses, transfer market backing, a board of directors that is proven to give you time, the sheer quality of the squad in terms of talent and ability, the lure of United, so on so forth.
It has to be one of Rodgers or Southgate. Simply no way we would not feck up yet another appointment.
Hmmm. Many would say either of those two would be a feck up. I would be absolutely gutted if we hired Southgate.
Think that's what he's saying - no way this board won't be clueless/incompetent and hire one of those two.
But yeah, Rogers would be bad, Southgate would be an absolute disaster.
That's what I said, or at least tried to sayHmmm. Many would say either of those two would be a feck up. I would be absolutely gutted if we hired Southgate.
If they were looking for someone to make the step up, wouldn't Potter be a better candidate? Also, the chances of him having a portrait of himself in his living room is much lower.
Im starting to doubt that we will.Look at the fecking state of the people employed by our club top to bottom.
Football has left us behind.
If we ever get back to the top of the game it will be in spite if the cretins running the shit show.
We are a brand, that's it. The people at the club (including Ole) don't give a shit about anything other than their bank balance - and we're starting to see the dividends of their hard work now.
There was absolutely nothing remotely close to acceptable standards put out by our manager against City. It was the most cowardly thing any of our managers have ever done in the history or the club - and he's been rewarded with a holiday.
Club full of leeches from top to bottom.
