He's playing a back 5 now, bring in Conte who actually has expertise in playing a back 5 instead of ole

Bloody coward who is trying to only look out for himself by setting up not to lose with little ambition to play for a win today

How can you pick 7 defensive players and then put your two slowest/least mobile forwards up front

This is just so far beyond what the club even put up with from Jose, and he was pretty much deliberately trying to get sacked for 6 months.
We shouldn't appoint Conte, because he doesn't play with the United way.

Ole who plays the United way :

*plays 5 at the back + 2 defensive midfielders because his job is under pressure.

*starts two +35 years old strikers up front.

He has to do something though. Cant keep playng that suicidal 424

Whatever the result, United should look to replace Ole asap. Hands off approach doesn't work when your coaches are also as clueless as you.

So, guys, is this it? Is it his final?

I would like to know your estimation: If Man United do not win tonight, or let's say have a somewhat unconvincing draw, will Solskjaer actually be sacked? :(

And please DON'T bother answering "He should", "I hope so", "I hope not", "He should have been long before" or any of that. I just want to know what you think WILL happen, not what you think should.
I want to know how, to your best estimation, the club is feeling and will operate.

A draw against a crap Spurs side will be seen as a heroic result by the board after what they witnessed last week. The only way they think about sacking him before Atalanta is if we get another thrashing today.

So, if he wins this game will you admit you were wrong?

It’s a good line up for where his talents lie as a manager.

No i wont admit im wrong.

Ole has picked a team to avoid defeat andso as not to drop the untouchables. Ronaldo, fernandes, maguire.

Its weak tactics. Very weak and shows how spineless he is as a man

Basically set us up like an underdog team from the Championship in order to save his job, disgusting self preservation

He has no talents as a manager at a top level. His CV speaks for itself. He is totally out of depth and is playing ultra cautiously against a vastly inferior team. His idea is to not concede and save his skin. Will it be 5 at the back plus 2 DMs against all teams now? Is it where his talents lie?

Beat Spurs and he’s 3 points behind City…

Yes, his coaching level is far beneath what Utd COULD get, but the current Utd owners are not high level in terms of their decisions.

They’re clowns in that sense, and Ole provides them with protection from the fans, which is obviously very important to them.

You can’t sack a manager who’s 3 points behind City - even if I do think Utd could do better with their coach.

Ohh we don't want Conte he plays 5 at the back. It's not the United way so says the board and nobhead Neville but its OK if Ole plays it.

the quality of SAF squad then compared to what OLE has now needs to be considered. The current squad is stacked with quality and he cant get a tune out of them. The better the squad gets the more out of his depth he comes and worse the results get.
Yeah it looks that way lately. But SAF actually had very good players capable of playing much better than he had them playing.

Agreed, if they wouldn’t sack him after a 0-5 loss to their biggest rivals, then they definitely won’t sack him for getting a point today.

Think we’re going to be waiting till after City. I only hope in that time that we are seriously weighing up the pros and cons of all the available managers, in order to make a somewhat informed decision. Think that’s being somewhat optimistic.

Yeah, if it's going to happen it will likely be done during the international break.

He'll keep plodding along with zero shame.

What about VDB in that case? We have enough cover in defence
Yep preciously you could play VDB in this system which is an improvement on either McFred. He is obsessed with McFred and it doesn't matter how shit United are in a match their names are the first on the team sheet come the next game. Ironically his obsession with McFred will hopefully get him the sack.

7 defensive players on the pitch. When McFred get in the final third they haven't a clue what to do neither has Wan Bissaka. If your gonna play this system you need somebody that can cross the ball which Dalot can.

Can people stop with this United way nonsense. One chance in half hour against this mediocre Tottenham side. 7 defensive players on the pitch with the manager hoping just to get something from the game to stay in the job.

Get ti feck.

Imagine that, he had like, how long… since September, to sort out the ‘suicidal 4-2-4’?

Bruno and Shaw are the only ones who can even pass or create in this team.

Maybe, Conte has already agreed, and Ole is helping him with auditions in his preferred system?

One can hope.

We seriously can get some silverware this season. We have the squad for it somewhere in there.
Seriously don’t botch this up and get an established manager

This really grinds my gears. The only “United way” that SAF showed us was win at all costs. That losing hurts. Everything else is mythicised nonsense.

Means nothing if we win, will only prolong the inevitable and by which time the season will truly be a write off.

So if we scrape a win today against a poor Spurs, get a draw away at Atalanta and narrowly lose to a superior city, does that mean that Ole will still be at the wheel?

If you win today, you could be level on points with City next Sunday. Would be madness to sack Ole when you're in such a good position.

Win this and against Atalanta and he has his job secured till the end of the season at least. Defeat City as well and he has his job secured for the next 5 years.

That’s certainly better than going out of the CL and being humiliated at home by City.
