It’s not whether or not we lose to PSG but how. I don’t think too many are expecting to progress.
Always knew that one of the Caf's biggest issues was that a section of posters were illiterate.I think many are voting for / against him as a permanant appointment here.
It would help if the title of the poll wasn't 'Always knew that one of the Caf's biggest issues was that a section of posters were illiterate.
True but it was added when he first got hired as interim manager. Not last week.It would help if the title of the poll wasn't '
Is Ole a good appointment'?
It's misleading is all I'm saying which is possibly the reason for the skewed results. I haven't been misled myself.True but it was added when he first got hired as interim manager. Not last week.
Also I don't think people who voted against when he was appointed bothered to change their vote.I still find it amazing that 184 people think Ole is a bad temp appointment.
I've changed my mind, back in Dec I thought we should have gone for a more experienced manager.
Jones renewal is all on him, he’s been his first choice CB since Day 1.
As much as I want to give Woodward flak for this, if he was concerned about protecting his value the length of the contract would’ve been much shorter and it would’ve been renewed earlier.
'all on him' - literally nothing to do with him by the sounds of it.Jones renewal is all on him, he’s been his first choice CB since Day 1.

That’s nonsense. 4+1 isn’t a long contract by any stretch. The main thing is that he’s on a sensible wage so if we choose to move him on, it won’t be an issue for him to find parity elsewhere.
Maybe I've been wildly optimistic, but I'm quietly confident we will beat PSG over two legs, especially given their issues in midfield. I agree with the general sentiment though; the performance probably matters a bit more than the result here. It’s not whether or not we lose to PSG but how. Well done on completely missing the point, so let me re-iterate again it’s due to Solksjaer this renewal has taken place. It’s his decision to get this done.
No different to Fellaini renewal last summer which only occurred due to Mourinho’s insistence. Both managers like the respective players and used them on a regular basis.
I don't think it is all on him. But I definitely think he would have put a good word about Jones, if Woodward has asked his opinion. I somehow don't see Woodward not asking Ole about the idea to give Jones a fat contract.Jones renewal is all on him, he’s been his first choice CB since Day 1.

I was 100% behind his appointment to begin with like most United fans, and it's great to see that the team has responded well, but it's too early to say if he's able to take this job on permanently. For me he now has one objective, to get us into the champions league. If he can accomplish this, he deserves his chance after being 11 points behind Arsenal.
The only thing that bothers me is the possibility that the club may have to one day sack him. That day will be hard to accept whatever state we're in. Always a risk when hiring ex players as managers.
Will be awful for Solskjaer to now go from Utd back to Molde. Awful!
When was the last time Utd had an ex player as manager besides Giggs?

Hope he doesn't regret the lineup. But it's saying something when our 75m player and Mata have the potential to ruin our attack.
I guess this will tell us where go in next few seasons.... not the result but the approach and the attitudeMain thing I'll be judging in the PSG tie I our football. I don't expect us to go through and it would be a brilliant surprise if we do. But I'm interested to seeing the way Ole sets us up.
Give him the job now, what are we waiting for?
He needs to show what his long term plan / philosophy is.
There are so many examples of interims doing a wonderful job as an interim and then not being able to do it in the long-run.
Saying that, he's doing a great job, and if he does get it, good on him.
