How long are these clowns on the board going to persist with this failed project? Do we really need to waste another season and finish outside the top 4 for them to act? The cnuts just never learn do they, incompetence at every turn.

I actually cringed at a certain point of his press conference yesterday...

The part when he said, "Individual brilliance"

When that 'Individual brilliance' doesn't happen in matches, he is exposed for the inept manager that he is.

Just goes to prove that the ones who play the game and have played the game have more knowledge than fans on social media.

Clear explanation of the team playing well and implementing a press and how impressed Cara was with our performance. Someone who has been criticising us week after week after week. Maybe it wasn't such a 'shite' performance after all.

i fail to see how letting Spurs have the ball on our side of the pitch for quite some team is nailing high press

You don't have to have loads of possession to win the game, Keane has even said so in post match analysis. Let them have the ball, doesn't matter too much.

I'm not saying it's a bad tactic, all i'm saying is that it isn't nailing high press.

But i actually think it's a bad tactic, if Son and Kane actually played as good as they were some time ago, we'd lose because of that tactic.

I think we're in dreamland if we think Ten Haag is coming here next year. Pogba and Cavani guaranteed to be out the door in summer, Ronaldo too possibly. Regardless of anything else, we're going to be significantly weaker right off the bat. Whoever's coming in will have to rebuild again within a season or two, we don't have a young exciting team anymore, barring Greenwood and Sancho, they're all in their primes. The new manager will immediately have to replace Pogba and Cavani, as they're both leaving on frees so we're not even recouping anything to replace them with, and we already have areas to address.

The time to appoint a new manager was now, but as we missed out on the best candidate, this team will die a slow death over the course of the season.

Gasperini is just trying to keep Ole in the job and is playing mind-games!

Gasperini buttering Ole up in the hope he doesn’t throw 7 defenders in the pitch again. They cut us to ribbons in the first game and that was with them missing 5 first team players, he’ll be rubbing his hands together if he has some of them back and Ole goes 4-2-4 again.

We have plenty of young talent in attack which the next manager can work with, Rashford, Greenwood, Sancho, Amad, Shoretire, Mejbri, etc. Why wouldn't Ten Hag want to work with these guys??? The midfield needs a rebuild anyway and not due to age but due to quality.

Pogba, Cavani, Lingard, DVB, Baily, Henderson could all leave, and I assume Mata is going. Ronaldo likely if we don't make top 4. And we need to strengthen with a DM. People shrug and say they dont play much but you can't just have a 13 man squad to compete with City and Chelsea.

3 seasons and still trying to find consistency, and that's a plus apparently?
He's an opposition manager, what's is he supposed to say? I'm glad Ole is on the job because it gives us a chance to win against that powerful squad?

He's obviously being polite, why would he criticize another teams manager? It's not of his business.

Just proves how short term and result oriented thinking some fans and pundits have. It was Vs a shit Tottenham ffs. Lets come back after a bigger sample size and jugde then shall we ?

What's with matchgoers becoming public enemy number 1 with you?

Because they aren't vocal enough in voicing their displeasure is the point I'm making, Spurs fans showed on Saturday what can happen if enough people make their views loud and clear about something. Instead we just blindly support no matter what and even stick around to wait for him after losing a game 5-0 to the most hated rivals.

Maybe try going to a game and then you can moan at match goers?

Seems weird to me.

The match going fans support the team and the players when the match is going on. Nuno was a dead man walking from the start though, he was 17th choice and the fans never wanted him in the first place and he never really looked like he was going to make it.

I don't think the two situations are really comparable and I don't think Levy fired him because the fans boo-ed a bit.

Saw this on the internet and have not checked stats to make sure it is true since I am lazy and should be working right now

if this is true, it really is a crazy stat

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now outlasted:
3 Barca managers
3 Real Madrid managers
3 Juventus managers
2 Chelsea managers
2 BMunich managers
2 Arsenal managers
3 Spurs managers
2 Inter managers
1 PSG manager
These clubs combined, have won 27 trophies during Ole's time.

I dont get this logic, moaning at the fans for not booing the manager? Yep that is going to change things isnt it?

Why don't you buy a ticket and go to the match and boo at the manager? instead of criticising fans supporting the team?

Do you honestly think Levy though, they are singing you dont know what you are doing so I better sack him? Conte was first choice for them, Nuno like bottom, which is why the change was made.

Also, earlier you mentioned Ole's biggest threat was Conte? Did Conte ring you to tell you that? Because everything I am reading from the club is they didnt want Conte.

Don't trust him he's a Scouser.
He’s more honest about our performances than Gary is though, so I’d trust his opinion more than Gary’s since it’s obvious at this point that the latter’s punditry isn’t only based on what happens on the football pitch.

Ouch…What a joke of a club we have become

Don't get me wrong, Carragher talks way more sense than Neville. Who at this point seems more as an Ole fan than a ManUtd one. But that doesn't mean it's in Carragher's best interest to help United.

I would happily do that IF I honestly believed it would lead to some action but sadly it won't, yeah the club didn't want Conte because they are an absolute bunch of pussies scared of someone showing up just how diabolically they are ran

Good point, but if he were driven by that he would’ve gone easy on Ole after the game against them and credited Salah et al. Lord knows he would’ve had one guy supporting that take.

I was referring to the person who posted it, they seemed to indicate that clearly Ole is doing a good job because this manager said so

Thats what i hope as well. Of all the potential replacements who have been named, Ten Haag is the one that excites me the most, by some distance as well.

So hopefully we have a decent season and get CL football, Ole gets replaced and everyone is happy

Id still prefer Pochettino, he’s a proven commodity. I don’t think he and PSG are a good fit at all and I see it ending badly for him.

Yep pretty much that. Why would you hire someone who will expose the clubs deficiencies when you can have someone who will protect you from them?

Talks about DNA, United Way... last time I checked it was winning titles, not making excuses week in week out.

From Whitwell

Those who know mufc executives believe Antonio Conte would be judged too confrontational for the corporate structure of acquiescence that permeates the club.

So we stuck with Ole because he's the ultimate "Yes Man"

Yeah the club is lumbered until the bitter death with him sadly whilst proper clubs flourish, this is the exact reason while this feels like the last straw for me and I wouldn't have any issues with a takeover if it stopped this blase attitude no matter how those people behaved

Yeah and they immediately sacked the manager who was responsible for the defeat while we keep the manager who got a bigger trouncing of 0-5 to our biggest rivals.
I can't in all honesty say Liverpool are our biggest rivals now. More like Spurs and West Ham?
