Mitten and Neville must be ecstatic. We get to go on to achieve great things in the Long Term under Ole.

If Ole comes 4th this season he won't be sacked. That in itself is mental.

Is it really though? Pep, Tuchel and Klopp are all better managers, we all agree on that.. City have a better squad than United and debatably so do Chelsea. Liverpool have a better starting 11. Putting all that together surely 4th is a reasonable finish for a manager like Ole?

I don't want a 4th finish with him. Either we win the darn thing or we finish outside the top 4. That's what I want now.

We're still going to need top 4 if we want any hope of bringing in a decent manager next season. Ten Hag won't want to be playing Europa league, so we'd be stuck with Rodgers or Potter.

For him sure. But who cares about him.

We support United not Ole.

You don't adjust the expectations to the quality if the manager. If the managers isn't good enough that's it .

And we know Ole isn't good enough so he shouldn't be here. The fact he still is it just a waste of everyone's time.

Ole has had all the money to spend in the world. The fact we are where we are says it all.

And who do you replace them all with, while also fixing the DM problem? We're not signing 5-6 players.
No one of them play regular, so if we replace Bailly, Pogba, Lingard and Martial with a proper DM and a CB, the team is strengthen. If also Cavani is replaced with another striker, we are perfect.

I think United want to keep Ronaldo and DVB, and both will stay

We don't play them because Ole insists on playing the same 8-9 players every week and it has been one of his biggest faults. He played Rashford into the ground last season despite being injured. Just because Solskjaer doesn't make use of his squad doesn't mean the next manager won't. If 6 players leave they need replacing.

Too many of our fans dont seem to realise we arent ole fc

He needs to go but the club just dont really care about success

2nd to 4th is reasonable after 3 years and spending £400m? We're not ranking managers we're ranking league finish.

Anyone who thinks Ole should be managing us next season if he achieves a 4th place finish this season cannot be a United fan. It's fecking mental enough we're even talking like Ole could reach the end of this season.

'Ole in' fans have you heard yourself? Do you call Liverpool fans 'Klopp in' fans?
As he’s arguably the best manager in the world you can call Liverpool fans Klopp in fans on account of they’re all Klopp in

I genuinely cannot believe his luck in life, just unreal.

The same comment stands for any club. You are 'manager in' by default unless you are demanding him be sacked that day.

It's just weird to brand the default position as 'manager in' to me.

A brutal line in the Irish Times today...

So now one of the biggest sports clubs in world sport have a manager who can’t get a job anywhere else, who is loved by the fans despite terrible results and whose players aren’t good enough collectively to win anything but are too brilliant individually to get him sacked.

That's because, unlike Klopp, his ability to do the job has come under heavy and justifiable scrutiny. There's no argument to be made against "Klopp in". "Ole in" on the hand...

That's the problem.

Ronaldo, Varane and Sancho signed and we're all already consigned to "Lets just get top 4."

It's maddening.

And you can't even say this is a long-term project anymore, the average age of the players on Saturday was 28.

These are players at their peak. If he can't win anything with them now, it's never gonna happen for him.

Haven't we lowered the standards for Ole enough already?

That's the fans. Or the fans that are tired of Ole's smiles more or less. The players and staff are probably not content with top4.

The standard these Ole inners cnuts set. Top 4 with almost 500m outlay. feck me sideways

Difference in quality between top 4 clubs are minor. So every of those 4 should be in title challenge.
By your logic (if we say that City is the best) then Tuchel and Klopp can say; "our goal is to be in top 4".
Things don't work like that. Point is to have a manager who can raise team on next level. Our problem is that Ole can't. His maximum is to do minimum with squad which he has. In this case 4th spot. And that is our problem

I think you guys have taken my post the wrong way, I wasn't defending Ole, I was pointing out that expecting him to out perform the 3 best managers in the world who all have better a better starting 11/squad, is expecting far too much of him. This is why Ole needs to be replaced.
