It's the same every time we fail to win from the same people.Am I the only one relaxed here?
We're out of CL already?
Sack Ole now and restart again? 5 games into the season?
Mind blowing stuff here.
Are you for real?
Such a lazy take. The team out there was more than good enough to beat Young Boys. This is why he hates rotation
If he wins a trophy this year he stays.
When he doesn't, he goes.
That's the situation, he's earned that.
Given everything I've seen to date, he won't win a trophy. So we can start looking at options around March I'd say.
He's done an excellent job of turning around the mood, squad and so forth, and should go with our thanks.
This. Ole needed to be ruthless and upgrade them but he is too sentimental for that. Having not one experience training ground coach when Manager strength lies more in management and team building is ridiculous. It's not just Ole, it's Carrick and McKenna too, they're all way out of their depth and get found out in situations like tonight. You'd think we'd had two or three players sent off the way we went about it.
I'd be happy to keep Ole but he needs experience around him and not a pair of yes men.
Just look at the way Chelsea plays (watching them right now), no player takes more than two touches in their own half. Our coaching compared to theirs is night and day. No amount of signings make up for coaching this deficient.
If you have tracked my record you would know, that I am one of the critics of Ole so no need to convince me. I said I think, he made a mistake by going fully defensive so early and to such degree. It shouldn't happen. I also don't understand, why we stopped trying to play our style, especially as we are way better against teams that attack us. All in all, I see the issue, I hope, Ole identifies it as an issue (getting way to defensive only to concede late was an issue in his early days already but he overcame it to some degree - until today) but all about cowering and sacking, I don't think, that's necessary. Its a CL match, away from home, you are one player down. It isn't a sackable offense to try to hold on to it. I think, he overdid it, it can happen.I said it before and I'll say it once again - we're never gonna win anything with him. Tactically clueless, his decisions are baffling, ideologically an underdog manager, his subs... well, you know them well. AWB laid the coffin, but Ole was the one who buried us. Again and again and again. Absolute legend as a player, but was never fit to be our manager.
This game was the perfect example of his management. Players can't pass, have a hard time defending the ball, when we go back players just hop it forward with long balls like we're Stoke or something, he still picks his favorites (WHY TAKE DONNY OFF? Fred was a calamity the entire game. Why play AWB when Dalot, albeit not a better option, was preferred here? Why the feck does he persist with Lingard? Where was Mason... Jesus I don't even want to go on with the amount of things he fecked up today). And you know what's my biggest gripe? We still have no identity. We still have no style of play. If City and Liverpool lost a man here, they'd still have battered them. We made them look like Pep's Barcelona. Why? Why are we so shit at everything despite the quality of the side? We always have to rely on individual brilliance like Bruno's pass in order to do anything of note. Do we press, do we play tiki taka, are we the brilliant counter-press team of Sir Alex in 07-10? What are we? I see nothing. In attack we are toothless, in defense we are a calamity... It's just terrible all around.
He needs to go. Get Zidane in before he goes back to Madrid. I'm sure he'll love it here given the amount of backing and hands-off approach from the management. Otherwise we're fecked with this experiment.
Answer me this. Do you think if Liverpool or City came here, they would have cowered like us and made Young Boys look like prime Barcelona? No, they would have enforced their style, 10 men or not. That's the simple difference between a manager like Ole and managers like Pep and Klopp. fecking hell, Chelsea didn't look any worse when they played with 10 man against Liverpool. I mean - that's disgusting, no matter how you look at it. And it's all down to Ole.
We are faced with having to put a shift in to beat villareal and atalanta. Its gonna be very difficult.
Chelsea had man down at bloody Anfield. And could have won the game. Because manager knows his job.Just look at the way Chelsea plays (watching them right now), no player takes more than two touches in their own half. Our coaching compared to theirs is night and day. For me, the biggest factor is the lack of game control, even the games we won. Too many last ditch tackles, too many misplaced passes. Things you don't see other top clubs in Europe. The team is fantastic now, no excuses for Ole for me.
One of the players he didn't rotate was the one who got himself sent off.Such a lazy take. The team out there was more than good enough to beat Young Boys.
Damn, excuses are getting better and better. Yeah, lets blame AWB.Of course. It's the Champions League, not Sunday league football.
Young Boys, 21 points leaders in 2021 Swiss league, they must be a champion for a reason, right?
Have some respect, AWB fecked up.
Controversial take.Such a lazy take. The team out there was more than good enough to beat Young Boys.
I blame Donny

So, has he made any excuses to the press yet?
Will probably moan about the referee not giving Ronaldo a penalty or some similar bizarre excuse

Controversial take.
That last 10 minutes before the half time was a ticking time bomb.
I can understand why we're going defensive. Was it the wrong choice? Of course it was because we lost, but nobody can predict the kind of luck the goals we conceded.
Let's be honest here, Young Boys were very lucky to score today.
He should be sacked if we don't get out the group. That would be unacceptable.
Think we would've won it comfortably, something like 3-1. I was only able to watch first half and we looked comfortable until Wan Bissaka's red card.11 versus 11 for the full match. What would have been the scoreline?
Anything to excuse our scrub of a manager.Damn, excuses are getting better and better. Yeah, lets blame AWB.
All 3 are equally tactically limitedI know tactical decisions are mostly on Ole but do Carrick and McKenna only sit there and say "yes boss"? seem like none of them complain or question some of the decisions at all?
