Everyone on here is just salty as feck because we didn't beat Chelsea. Doesn't matter that we were the better team eh?
Better team with 0 chances created? Going forward we are shocking for the nth game in a row now. We contained Hazard pretty well I agree but apart from that, clueless.

His reaction at full time has actually turned me against him.

Chelsea just ended our top 4 hopes and he's out there hugging and joking with some of them.

Piss weak mentality. Get out of the club.

Ole is unfortunately at the wheel of a shitty Daewoo but he still needs some criticism on his actual driving skills.

He needs to improve next season as just saying the right things is no longer enough, his tactics and substitutions need to improve as well as half the first team being replaced. If this time next year we are still this bad he will probably get sacked.

Some of us never wanted him installed in the first place. He's clueless and not a good fit .

Honestly, can you argue that we tried to go for a win? We put on McT for Mata for feck sakes.

To get more control of a game by bringing on a midfielder when they were enjoying the majority of possession. Sensible sub. He already brought on Sanchez and the Rojo one was forced

We lost the chance for top 4 in December and it’s not Ole’s fault. But Ole obviously isn’t good enough for this club. I think he gonna be sacked by Christmas

Only save I can remember Kepa making is the one from Rashford's free kick.

Rojo header off the line.

Mata's goal.

That's all we created.

If Ole was available, no other premier league would take him.
Enough said.

He does look out of his depth, it's been that way for a few weeks now. Today was better but lacked that cutting edge.

We had one very good first half. Although after the error from De Gea we played much worse. Poor subs and also poor inspiration in half time.

What worries is me is that Ole's default tactic is to have us try to open up teams in 2-3 passes usually involving long balls. It looks nice when it works (first half hour today) but I'm afraid there's no top team that isn't capable of dominating through quality possession play, and I'm not seeing Ole trying to inculcate that at all.

His focus appears to be on
  • High tempo
  • Direct, often long, passing
  • Not much emphasis of possession play and opening teams up through short intricate passing
  • Pace, physicality and stamina

I could be wrong but I am genuinely worried that when we need to move towards the City's and Barcelona's of this world, we appear to be headed in the opposite direction

I hope Ole through his signings allays these fears. But if we're targeting players like Rice that everyone wants, I fear we'll never be headed in the direction we need to

There are reasons to keep him:
  1. There are basically no alternatives on the market
  2. Hasn't had time to physically coach the team
  3. He might be able to identify all the many weak players we have and get them out of here.
Unfortunately I'm not sure how great of a coach he is and how good he is at identifying poor players. We're an absolute shambles right now. There are more players in this squad that shouldn't be here than players that should.

He is a Moyes all over again. Clueless. He can't implement ideas, he can't interfere. Even by adding a couple of players or even 3 his tactics and system is absolutely fail.

Get a grip ffs.

If he wasn't prematurely given the permanent deal on the back of the standard 'new manager bounce', would anyone want him as our permanent manager now after these results?

Isn’t, nor was he ever the right man for the job. Wake up all you who want us to give him a chance, it isn’t going to get any better than this.

Don’t want him out. He needs a chance...but this laughing and joking shit is unbearable. Pedro about to come on 85 minutes in and he’s hugging, laughing and joking with him on the touch line. Why? Winding me up.

Bit harsh on Moyes - at least he had over 10 seasons as a successful Premier League manager. ;)

He has come out and said that exact same thing Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourinho said. That the players are not good enough. Ferguson on his last year won the PL with Tom Cleverly and Danny Welbeck.

So another clear out and then two years later that does not work and then another manager and then a repeat of the process.

Whatever team or formation you pick this team is flawed, their a mismatch of players who haven’t been bought or coached to press or play with any attacking intent.

This is a huge ask for any manager to turn this round even in 2-3 years. Ole already looks desperate, the more players that are out the door the better in the summer. It’s a monumental job that the manager probably isn’t capable of doing and neither are the club in general.

So weak to drop De Gea.

God awful subs and in game management.

Accompanied by having a shite squad.

Will be a miracle if he's here after next season.

Then he suddenly stopped the players from playing good? The same players that weren't playing good under Mourinho or LVG. Maybe you should calm down and give him a pre-season and transfer window.
So basically he has done nothing wrong and we need 11 Messis to play half decent football? Maybe you should take off the Ole loving specs and see what is actually in front of you.

Never said the players are good enough but teams like Bournemouth and Leicester player much netter footy than us and have a semblance of attacking patterns to their game. You think they need top players just to let them play decent football? The quality of players and coaching both are crap and that is what we see on the pitch.

Neither did they. Higuain had one chance and so did Rojo. We were easily the better team in the first half. DDG cost us once again and you can't blame OGS for that.

Assessing the game as a whole, I feel like I saw more positives than negatives from Ole. We started very well, a senior player's mistake caused us to concede right before half time, and afterwards we were far too knackered and unfit to keep up our earlier pressure & tempo. Heads dropped as a result, and the subs were only slightly effective (McTominay).

The only thing which potentially worried me was his lack of ability to take control of the second half tactically, but I think that's down to the players' lack of fitness. If not for De Gea's mistake, we probably would have squeezed a good result out of this. I feel for Ole, he's being blamed for his predecessor's (and the players') mistakes when, imo, he's not done too badly.

Either way, judging by how knackered the players look after every first half, I don't think his second half performances can be judged accurately. Also tbh he should have had the balls to drop De Gea and it cost him. Hopefully he'll learn a lesson from that.

Apologies 2nd, doing the same thing though...running the deal down.

This has dragged out now again all season long, Jose at one point said he'd signed on and then nothing was announced.... he's now got 14 months left so we cash in or let him walk for free...what's better?

You are a strecth really. That fax thing didnt made him downed tool at all. He was sidelined for first 2 games and thats all. Never made a fuss about it afterall.
Running the deal down or we dont offer him serious enough? Pogba's run down next year and he havent sign yet. Herrera's up this summer. So does Mata but we offer Young, Smalling and Jones quickly enough? So what we do? We cash in on Pogba too?

Before this run of losses, he has good form. Remember Spurs one? Or Liverpool? He doesnt off form all season long.

He seems happy to be there like Moyes.

And he made more stuff then test of the team combined in 2nd half.

Yeah Mctominay is good, but we used very defensive subs. Matic could have gone off or another more defensive player if we wanted Mctominay.

Hes going to get slated pillar to post for not being able to drag a side into the champions league that has no right being in it to begin with.
If we can get the right players in, we'll improve under Solskjaer, I'm certain of it.

Rodgers has been at Leicester for how long?
Look at how they're playing and the plan and style he has coached into those players and none of them are his...

Ole meanwhile, is the exact opposite. Players might not be good enough but, they're certainly not 2 wins out of 9 bad

Will be very surprised if he's here come Christmas
