We should have had a penalty vs Chelsea.
We should have had a goal allowed vs Sheffield and they should have had their disallowed.
We should have had a goal allowed vs Burnley.
We should have had a penalty vs Fulham.

It's tiresome when the usual suspects dismiss major decisions that go against us in their post match rants but likewise are the first to bring up decisions that go in our favour. But yeah, let's not disturb that narrative either.

This has feck all to do with what happened yesterday.

You're dismissing that Milan weren't the best team yesterday just because we missed 2 sitters when Milan actually put the ball in the back of the net and got disallowed for a non existent handball. They scored 2 legit goals and we scored one. What does having incorrect decisions going against us in previous games have to do with this game I don't know.

If the roles were reversed you would no doubt be talking about the sitters missed by Milan and how we were only saved by a last minute goal. Whatever suits the agenda.

That he doesn't know that says everything......what a terrible coach :wenger:

Quarantine for travel to the UK from Spain is 10 days so there's no way he's playing Sunday, unless footballers have some sort of an exemption?

Edit just read that if he pays for a covid test after 5 days and it's negative then he's free to go about his business.

Add that McTominay should have been sent off. We got the rub of the green from the referee against Milan, so I don't know why people are bringing up decisions in other games.

They want the best for the club like all of us. I think these are people that want to believe that we can just change one thing and then all will be rosy again. People that would have sacked SAF in his first 3 seasons 3 times over. Children that want it all and want it now.

SAF had a track record if winning titles. European trophies with a small club beating top clubs like Bayern and Real. What has Ole done? What has he won of any significance?

I don’t know why you bother replying to posters comparing 1986 Fergie to Ole. Obviously either trolls or ignorant morons with no knowledge of our greatest manager.

Do people have to be little bitches on here after every match we don’t win?

Tie isn’t even over. Score first on Thursday and we are heavy favourites.

Im 100% behind Solskjaer. He’s done a fantastic job so far and hopefully he gets some silverware soon

Your definition of “fantastic” is rather subjective. He has spent nearly 2.5 years and a lot of money to tread water (in fact we won’t match Mourinho’s 2017-2018 season, joyless as that was). I never ever want a former player as manager again as objectivity goes out of the window for much of the fanbase. As the owners well know.

Fantastic indeed. Couldn't have been any better.

This is so true. If his name was Storm Dahl ex Molde manager hardly anyone would be giving him this much slack or making up so many excuses for him.Ι never want a former player as manager again either, agree 100%.

If he was doing a fantastic job more than half of this forum wouldn't be thinking we need a change. Liverpool have lost 6 games on the bounce at Anfield and even most of them aren't calling for Klopp's head because of what he's achieved both on the pitch and in terms of silverware. Would you stick by Ole in these circumstances?

Treading water is spot on, I think Ole has done as much as he can do and he’s done ok overall, especially for someone who would still be at Molde otherwise. How anyone thinks he’s done a fantastic job is beyond me.

Hes on course to finish in the top 4 in his first two full seasons. Which is more than his two predecessors did. And they both got backed a hell of a lot more.

Under Solskjaer I actually have a passion to watch the team again.

Anyway I know all this crying is just due to one bad result.Barely saw any crying when we were top of the league.

Solskjaer is doing fine and sacking him will do nothing. He hasn't had chance to finish his job yet.

a couple more players that he wants and fit Pogba and this team will be fighting at the top again under Ole

Such a weird way of looking at it, because with their away goal and the fact that they played better than us logic says they are in fact favourites.

I think you may need to read it again and have a little think

Their away goal is nullified if we score first on Thursday. And then any goal we score after that will effectively be worth 2 goals.

Nothing is based on one result, not sure what all the whinging is about just because don’t believe mediocrity is fantastic, no one is crying let alone because of one game.

If people want to believe Ole is making us better fair enough but how anyone has lowered the bar so much that this is ‘fantastic’ is very strange.

Serious - do you support United? And are you more than 10 years old? If so, do you genuinely think the former manager of Molde and sacked manager of Cardiff is going to bring us a league title after 2 years of this random bollocks? Was everyone else missing a trick when they failed to appoint this managerial great while he was managing pub teams for 10 years?

U ok hun

Great response. Former legend (as a sub against teams which had been run ragged).. Ole at the wheel. Fletcher and Carrick as well. Jobs for the boys. Let’s ignore the fact that we are also rans. It’s all about the culture, yes? Like 1990s Liverpool boot room.

So you're saying that the 1-1 result we got at home gives us the advantage and makes us heavy favourites? That's a first.

Yeah and you think I don’t support the team...

No coach/manager at any level in any sport will allow officiating to be used as an excuse in the grand scheme of things. It is, always has, and always will be "worry about what you can control". Your little timeline of excuses here wouldn't fly with a U9 team.

What's happened between when we want top of the league and now?

Massive Massive week for him.

West Ham - Will be very tough with our injuries but our league form is still bad so we need a win really

AC Milan - Need a trophy and we are the better team. No excuses

Leicester - Very tough with our injuries but again we need a trophy.

At the very least we must stay in one cup competition and if you asking me we need to win both.

If we where to get knocked out of both in the next week It would be an undefendable disaster.

Nowhere am I validating those 'excuses'. I'm saying Milan didn't score first last night, just as we didn't get those decisions in our favour. Try reading the whole conversation next time instead of taking something out of context and acting smartypants.

It's funny seeing some of the same posters that lambasted Mourinho for finishing 2nd(with a higher point total in all likelihood) and failing to challenge(a better City side back then too) now defending Ole for potentially finishing 2nd as we got knocked out of the Champions League Group Stages the same season.

It's unreal honestly.

And I was extremely critical of Jose that season too, but this idea that we've extremely progressed in 3 years is simply nonsense. None of the underlying metrics truly support that nor do the results/point tallies.

Can you prove it’s the same posters?

And the relevance of all of that to the overall performance of the manager is?

Why should he have been sent off? He was booked for a stupid foul yes, but he committed another foul! Is every foul commited a bookable offence, I don't think so. He put his hands on the guys shoulders, and he fell forward, how is that possible?

Kind of ironic how you’re dismissing a neutral metric like xG and instead making up your own metric of lG (legit goals). Game ended 1-1. Keep thinking we lost 1-2 on lG if that makes you feel better though.

One bad result? One bad result against the bottom two teams in the PL? So many bad results. Terrible performance too in those games. yes we are still second but there has been more dire performances in most games. A few like Leeds, Southampton and the City game were good. The result were terrible though we won in other games.

With due respect, moaning about the "ref decisions" that didn't go in our favor is juvenile stuff. At this level, with the benefit of video replay, you will get some 'borderline' decisions in your favour and some that don't. Any coach that points to 'ref decisions' is only trying to set a narrative, these guys know better, so should you.

It will never end well for you if you hang on to ref decisions as your argument for why you should be given more time.

The last one was a definite second yellow. He took down a player near the box who got past him, which led to the freekick. If he wasn't on a yellow already, that would have definitely been a card.

What has any of this got to do with my posts? I’m pointing out the blatant hypocrisy amongst certain posters who have been moaning non stop about the Sheffield loss (where the refs admitted they called two goals wrongly against us), and how those same exact posters are now claiming Milan won 2-1 on “legit goals”. Using their same brilliant logic they can now stop moaning about the Sheffield game because we actually won that game 2-1 on “legit goals”.

Reality is we lost to Sheffield. Reality is also that last night ended 1-1, not some fantasy scenario where Milan won on “legit goals”.

Kind of ironic how you are talking about missed setters as a metric but want to just ignore their correct goal as if it doesn't matter because it doesn't fit your narrative. Keep thinking we were the better team and deserved to win if that makes you feel better though.
