My biggest concern is his lack of judgement. If he thinks this club does not need wholesale changes he's certainly not the right man. Even a blind man can see we need to rip our squad up yesterday.

Some of you are honestly mental with this criticism.

Mourinho (and the players) killed the season dead. Ole resurrected it (and it's still not over even if we lose tonight). Just chill out.

Anybody other than Jose would have given us a brief lift, especially against some of the shit we faced during that run of game. Fact is Ole is out of his depth. He wouldn’t have been given any other premier league job. This appointment could set us even further back.

This Lingard obsession needs to stop.

We are stuck with a shower of shite. What's the alternatives? Martial? Sanchez? I would personally play Alexis on the right but it's swapping a turtle for a donkey.

Alright Incey.

Looks well and truly out of his depth. And what exactly is Carrick's role on the bench?

We know we've suffered from a lack of structure and joined up thinking in recruitment. The club has recognised and promised to improve this summer.

Yet people are still jumping on the managers back thinking he's all at fault for this mess. Idiots.

Isnt it like last season where everyone was moaning even after winning?

The players are poor - but Ole’s lack of experience showing. Slow to react and with all that he says about urgency and playing the “United way” with speed and a form of attacking nature, we’ve played the worst we’ve had in years recently.

He gets the club, but he needs to learn much quicker for us and his sake

Although city are way, way better than us and we had no chance but your keeper cannot make 2 silly errors and your attacking players cannot miss an open goal.

He had the chance to not use those players but still stuck with them despite poor form and a lack of focus.

I don't understand why we jumped the gun making the permanent appointment. We literally had nothing to lose by waiting until the summer. Even if Ole ends up working out, not waiting until the summer was an unnecessary risk and another boneheaded decision by Woodward.

so, winning run = ole
losing run = the players

?

I don’t think Ole has done much wrong tactically here. We’ve just been beaten by a more clinical side. Let’s give Ole time to build his team. They’re a young coaching staff him, Carrick and McKenna but he’s clearly not got the tools to play the game he wants at the minute.

The players are shit.

The issue I have with Ole is his judgement of players. That's quite devastating for a manager if he gets it wrong, especially when we are about to make major squad changes.

I think it might do us more harm to give him the opportunity to rebuild United than good. There is nothing on his cv that gives us fans hope that he will know how to bring United back on top of Europe.

However, season is still not over and we can still make top four. A win against Chelsea and everything changes. That game will be more telling than this one.

My biggest grudge with Ole is his game management. Poor substitutions or lack of it. The team have been tiring since 40 mins and he made the first change due to an injury around 70 mins.

Not much he could do about this one.

My main worry is that after four months, I see very little identity in the team, a clear football patern and plan. Of course, it could be because since December we've focused on getting the best we could out of the season (he DID arrive as a temporary manager) and not plan ahead, but that was still the most important thing for me, to see a template that we could build on next season.

Of course, when you don't have it, it's difficult to face such a well drilled machine like City.

Alright Incey.

Tell me how I’m wrong.

This club was so toxic under Jose, the moment he lift all of that negativity would have been lifted. It was a win win for Ole to come in and stand in until the end of the season. It’s absolutely bonkers that we’ve given him the job on a 3 year deal.

3 years. gave him 3 years on the back of like 3 months of form that included a bunch of wins against the run of play.

Huge mistake going for effort today. The front two have been useless. Andreas simply isnt good enough either.

Are the players at a lower point now or where they lower under Jose? They look absolutely dejected.

We have nothing.

No direction on the field or off the field.

We're truly a gigantic mess atm.

I'm worried we will fritter away another season before Woodward realizes it. Ole may come good but this isn't the right time to gamble with an unproven manager.

If he went for effort he wouldn't have played Pogba :wenger:

Seriously though, the way he rates Rashford is cringeworthy. Among others.

You’re making far too much sense, which goes against the grain on the Caf... well, at least in the football section.

Not even close. He could lose the remaining games and have a full summer before that is considered

Imagine if come end of the season we are on a record that reads 10 defeats in 12. We then have to trust this man to rid of the deadwood (whilst keeping hold of Smalling, Young, Lingard) and spend a shit load of money.

Seriously, what is up with his timing of substitutions? Sort it out Ole, it's been a few games now where the substitution, be it decisions or timings have been ridiculous.
