No amount of money will make Ole a good manager

That is the bottom line.

The EPL isn't Ligue 1 and we are not PSG, where you can financially dominate the rest of the league that even a management duffer like OGS would win the league.

There’s no conceivable way he’s our manager come August. Absolutely none.

We may be giving the clowns who run our club far too much credit than they deserve with this but I’d be mesmerised if Pochettino (or somebody equally qualified) isn’t lined up already to take over in the summer. It would beggar belief if preliminary talks haven’t at least taken place.

Same I've felt that way for awhile, if we start next season with Ole in charge I'll be dumbfounded. I just don't believe its a possibility, unless we really see a miracle of a finish to the current campaign, which just looks near on impossible.

OGS continues to highlight his limitations as a manager. An average man, with an average mindset. He's annoying, and is something of a charlatan - he knows he is a limited manager. You think he inspires those players? What does it look like, after a over a year

Look at him at the final whistle, hugging the Wolves manager like some pathetic tw*t. He did exactly the same with Pep..after another set of uninspiring performances.

The man isn't doing a thing that any average manager would in that position.

A joke. The club has become a laughing stock.
Top manager wouldn’t do anything with thise players either. Maybe fans need more years to understand the players are not good enough. How can we still have SAF players that were not good enough and at the same time Klopp and Pep have 2 players from former manager.

How come top managers wouldn't do anything with these players, yet you see worse teams in the PL playing far better than us? I can't believe people are STILL pretending its all on the players.

Why do managers even exist, they're clearly not important according to some of you.

I would not rule out OGS missing CL with them too. He would rush Neymar back so he misses the full season. Turn Di Maria crap like LVG and not create anything for Mbappe.

So you are basically saying that manager's position is redundant in football as it's all on players to win games and managers mean feck all. Did you always think like that or only now because Ole is our manager?

Dunno how same bunch can spin and spout some drivel when everything can be checked.

Ole should never have gotten the job in the first place, at least not when it was given to him. It was said that the board were going to wait until the end of the season before deciding, but once it was given to him, we suffered the most monumental of collapses that saw us miss out on top-4 even though the door was left open for us countless times.

We are seeing the exact same thing this season. Ole is terribly, ridiculously out of his depth and he needs to go.

This is our worst Premier League start ever and we are currently on course to finish the season with 53 points, the last 3 seasons that would have been enough for us to finish 9th, 8th and 8th, which would make this our worst premier league finish ever.

I know a rebuild can sometimes means knocking something down to it's bare foundations, but there is no blueprint or plan for what is to be built. It's like Ole, with a hope and prayer just wishes St. Petersburg Cathedral suddenly just springs up out of nowhere and shocks everybody, but I'll tell you now, it's not happening. Not when the coaching staff can't even drill the players well enough to open up a team for a few attempts on goal after 5 attempts like we've seen against Wolves. We are getting schooled by Wolves. Wolves are our bogey team. Just let that sink in for a moment. Fecking Wolves. Look, any team can beat any other team on their day, I understand, it happens. But we didn't look to be able to break them down at all yesterday and then Ole comes out and says some bullshit about them being difficult to break down. Well, Wolves have only kept 2 cleansheets in their last 12 games and BOTH of them were against US!

I was an "Ole-inner" for the longest time, but the signing of Bruno, ironically is what broke the camel's back for me. I don't want to see another fantastic player being grossly mis-managed by a team of the worst coaches in the premier league. It's frankly disgusting.

Ole is a bare-faced liar and for people to continue lapping up his bullshit is frankly flabbergasting. I don't care if Ole is a legend of the club as a player. It doesn't give him the right to stay in the management position when he's clearly woefully out of his depth. He needs to get out now, my patience with him has been whittled down to nothing.

This is the only argument they give these days.

The role of Manager is redundant as it makes no difference to performance and results, but at the same time believe Ole will win us titles if given long enough. How would he do that if the manager is irrelevant?

Or is the position of manager only irrelevant/relevant when it suits their utterly atrociously weak argument?!

Anyone who thinks that we're going to challenge for anything under Ole is in for a surprise.

It's pretty clear now, 15 months into the job, that he doesn't have any sort of idea of how he wants the team to attack against a settled defense. An Ole team will never be more than the sum of its parts because he's all about "go out there and have fun" and "give it to x and let's hope the stars align so that y and z make a run when x makes something happen". That means that his only chance of achieving any success is by getting quality players in while not having anyone leave the team during this entire process, and even then it's doubtful.

Since we can all agree that we need a minimum of 5 players to challenge for domestic and European titles, that'd take three years (without anyone leaving) before we get there. Pogba's certain to leave within three years, and I don't think it's unfathomable to think that Bruno might not be here in three years if we keep playing this way. I can even see Rashford leaving if Barca/Real come knocking at the door, so that makes it eight players of top quality that we need to sign.

Anyone reckon that's the way to get back to the top for us?

Ole's not the only problem, but he's one that we need to solve if we want to challenge for something in the next decade.

Disagree. Poch is a known admirer of Bruno Fernandes, Spurs almost signed him last summer. Signing Fernandes was a smart move.
I‘m sure Pochettino is as good as a done deal and will be Utd manager in the summer, if not before.

You're giving way too much credit to the people at the top thinking they would have the foresight to sign a player that a future manager might like. They can't think one move ahead, never mind two to three.

I would love to have Poch here, btw.

We are already challening for the league cup and Fa cup! Might even reach a quarter final in europa league like we did in CL last year. Not that bad right? We are still challenging for big things!

Under no circumstances can he be the manager here next season. That is surely now clear to all but the most sycophantic Ole supporters.

Not sure I see much upside to dispensing with his services right now, though. Might as well wait until May.

I don't know how they managed to pull bruno out of the hat. That was class, but certainly nothing to do with Ole. We are absolutely blessed to have Bruno, but Ole is clearly the wrong man to get the best out of him and this team.

I'm also Poch in. I have a very strong feeling he's coming in the summer, but if that's the case, i'd much rather see him come in now and take the bull by the horns if possible. Although another side of me wants to see Ole fail and have that smile wiped permanently off his face. It may seem "anti-United", but I've learned this philosophy from Ole himself... "Short term pain for long term gain". Except with Ole, there is no long term gain, just constant, never-ending pain.

Anyway, it would be a lot better for Poch if he were to wait until the summer. I would actually like to see us finish 8th, so that he has maximum leverage against the board.

eh, no... we are out of the league cup.

P68 W34 D15 L19.

However with the initial manager bump he won 14 in his first 19 as caretaker, so only 20 wins in 49 as permanent manager with 16 defeats, 13 draws.

Just not a very good manager and easily our worst post SAF, he is breaking unwanted records and spouting nonsense on a regular basis.

We go into next season with him still in charge, God help us!

Tbf 15 wins on a trot plus psg... damn if you do damned if you dont.

Even 9 wins in 30 there are still people defending ole. without a hindsight if ed didnt offer ole full time contracts there'll be riots

How many more players do you think we need?

How long would it take to get that amount of players? How many of the players, currently good enough for the level we aspire to be at, do you think will be here in the x amount of years that it will take to sign those players that we need now?

All i can do is roll my eyes..

He is such a bs merchant, I dont see wolves manager rolling out this excuse and they had to go through qualifying stages to get in the Europa league and fielded strong teams in it.

We can buy as many players as we want, it won't make Ole successful here.

I really want to know what the tipping point would be for the Ole In cultists, where they say “actually, it’s clear now he’s not good enough and should be sacked”.

Because, as it stands, I don’t think even relegation would invoke this reaction. I think they’d actually sacrifice family members’ lives for the guy. He can do no wrong.

Honestly, the oppo fans are loving this. We are the biggest laughing stock in world football. Far more so than Liverpool has ever been. We were first to mock them, but we’ve now morphed into a more ridiculous version. We are a parody of ourselves.

Isn’t it ironic how it’s the “top reds” who are actually contributing to the downfall of this club. And anyone who demands the highest standard, is branded a “plastic”. Pitiful.

The tipping points, possibly -
1. If we dont perform with Pogba, McTominay & Rashford all fit.
2. If a top attack orientated manager is available in the summer

People say on one hand that our squad is worse than wolves and then on the other expect us to be 10 points ahead of them.

Hopefully Poch has signed his pre-contract and Solskjaer has been promised his payout to just get on with things until the end of the season.

Him, Carrick and everyone else, need to leave and a manager needs to come in with a whole trusted team, experienced coaches who know how to teach players to play their roles and make better decisions on the pitch.

We haven’t tried a young, modern coach with since Ferguson left.

Let’s bring one in, back him, and at least solidify CL and have a team that scored goals again.

There's no tipping point for them. I said previously even if he's sacked and next manager does well they will just say he laid foundations for that manager to succeed.

Actually there's no magic in all this.

You hire a midtable moyes. You get midtable.
You hire a top 3 lvg. You get top 3.
You hire mou. You get top 3 average.
You hire ole. You get midtable finish.
Can't be arsed to check every single one of them. But i believe they're around there. Feel free to average their career finish

The cvs doesnt really lie, the manager we hired perform par to their cv, plus minus 1 or 2 position up and down.

Can't believe Pogba's injury is being cited as a reason. Feels like just yesterday he was fit and accused of slowing us down as why we couldn't break teams down. News flash our play looked no different, only difference was there was a central figure.
Exactly. Some talk like the end of last season never happened. The system should facilitate the players and not the other way round. Even with no injuries we would still be in the same position not because Pogba and co are bad but because he is a terrible trainer

We have beaten the might Wolves who noone can break down! Also Tranmere Rovers who knocked the might Watford out who is insanly good judging by the fact they beat us.
Give the man some bloody credit here! Knocked out Rochdale on penalties, Colchester beaten even though they knocked out Spurs and Palace and we won 50% of our games against Astana with even Lingard scoring. Double wins against Partizan. 0 goals conceded against AZ.
Can't deny that he got a good record against top teams can we.

Also in top 6 in the league with more wins than defeats. Almost half as good as Liverpool in terms of points. Few can say that. Beat City 66.67% of the time. Shows we are progressing towards being better than them overall soon. The only PL side to stop Liverpool. Shows we will soon take over at the top from them or that we are the closest teams in terms of quality.
Beaten Chelsea and Leicester. Shows we are better than them 100%.
Smashed Norwich 2 times. Shows we would easily win the championship.

Lost 1-0 against Bournemouth with Kings scoring. Shows Ole was right to try to get King and that our plan in the transfer market is great.
Lost against Palace shows that we need Pogba, Mctominay and Rashford around to beat defensive teams.
3-3 against Sheffield shows that we can bounce back from 2-0 down even against sides higher up in the table than us and that Ole was a genious to bring Lingard on to save the game. No CAF man would have brought Lingard on to safe the day so give the man some credit.
1-0 defeat against Newcastle. Ole was right to go for Longstaff.
2-0 defeat against West Ham. Should have got Rice in too.
2-0 defeat against Arsenal. Shows Ole was right to rush Pogba back and try to play Mctominay even with injury since we needed them for that game.
2-0 defeat against Pool. Just shows how much VAR can help you out and Ole is unlucky that Ed can't bring that guy into our team.
2-0 defeat against Burnley. Shows Ole was right to bring in Ighalo up front. Great plan and movement in the market.
0-0 against Wolves. Another clean sheet against a top side. Ole is a defensive genious!

Basically everything we see has proven Ole to be right and the best man for the club.

Ole will still be here in August, he will be given funds in the summer. Just another wasted year and cash when we could have employed a much more experienced coach (poch)

Ole has practically ran them into the ground this season. So the absolute cheek of the guy to stand there and start complaining is bloody something.
