Looking at aerial pictures it needs to be moved north about half a pitch length if they are going to do drastic work and alterations to it as well as pointing the stretford end north on the pictures as well, so a slight turn of the stadium as well. This would take the canal and railway out of the build altogether.

1. Renovations or substantial rebuild aren’t about capacity for fans. Whether we go to 80k, 90k or 100k it’ll be the doubling or trebling of corporate spaces that drive any expansion as well as increased matchday revenue from fans buying food/drink etc in the stadium instead of outside.

2. Those who say a new build would be soulless seem to ignore the general critiques of Old Trafford. Mainly that it’s too quiet. As others have said whether it’s a full new build, 45 degree turn and rebuild on same site or just building over the canal; we have to address the roof and awful design of the quadrants etc.

3. There is a lot more options now safe standing is on the agenda. Perhaps we could refit the lower tiers with safe standing rail seats and then rebuild the 2nd/3rd tiers and roof to create a better bowl.

Bizarre. I literally have no idea what could cause that.

The FA Cup match underscores the American owners haven't invested into the club enough. The venerable stadium needs a touch up.

Payment systems servers must have failed by some doing something stupid in a data centre.
No local power issue caused a whole IT network to fail. Whoever is the cloud provider is my bet where the issue is at. Or it could be a local DC within the ground where someone did something. Certainty human error is my bet.

But to have no back up plan is absolutely criminal. There are no words.
Pen and paper!

Missed a trick tonight for some good PR.

Should've offered all fans a free drink. However, we have the Glazers, so not a chance in hell they would treat the fans. They probably didn't even know we were playing tonight, the thieving scumbags.

Just nuke the stadium and dissolve the club

They'll fix the leaking roof and declare themselves saviors of football.

Wait for it.

I’m sure the staff can take away £3 from £5 and £10 notes. It’s actually hilarious thinking about it.

The burger van owners outside the ground must have thought all of their Christmases had come at once....

An absolutely roaring trade for them last night :)

I hope to feck that no food was wasted.... plenty of charities out there that could use the food.

Lady in one of those burger vans saved me before the Arsenal game by charging my phone so I could get at the ticket.

Absolute legend she was - I hope she made a fortune last night!

they didn’t make a penny extra I don’t think, in our area at least they point blank refused to let us back out to get food

When I got the text last night apologising to season ticket holders about this I honestly thought there’d be a code attached to get a free drink or pie next game

Like cash?
I offered cash, but they refused to take it. The failure was before the match as well , not just at half time. I ended up going over six hours without anything to eat or drink. If I had known beforehand, I'd have bought something from an outside caterer, something I will be doing in future.

Tried to pay cash for a beer and some double decker bites on Friday and they'd only accept card. Had forgot my card so walked away cursing. 5 minutes later the card payment systems went down.... Just saying.

Given how expensive that would be, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's not the option our beloved owners go for.
