Moyes, watch and learn son. David was appointed on the 9th of May but he didn't bother turning up for the job til the 1st of July!
Moyes was still subject to his Everton contract.

Besides, think this'll be a flying visit for Mourinho. As well as checking out OT I think he's up north for Soccer Aid too. He'll be back in London for the Eva Carneiro trial.

Our manager is a proper instawhore.

I am sure Woody is absolutely loving this too.

Imagine the instragram adverts those two can pull together.

Feels like a different Jose. It's a bit weird to be honest.
Well this is the first time this much strutiny has been on him like without football. Even at Madrid inluded. He just needs to start the season. Then he will be his natural self. All this pre-season stuff is not his natural domain.

Jose Mourinho is manager of Manchester United...still seems slightly surreal

It really is quite weird. Still have to remind myself it has happened. We'll get used to it soon enough, I suppose.

How is Jose not "himself"? What's the reasoning for him being a 'different' Jose? Just asking because I'm not sure I see it myself.

I'm feeling him as Jose the kid in the candy store. It's nice to see but weird it's a little detached from the larger than life special one Jose.

Massive charm offensive on Sir Bobby, who looked like he was counting the fecks he could give.

Didn't Mourinho start early at Chelsea in 2013 despite still being under contract with Real?

He was no longer under contract.

Chelsea will not have to pay compensation for José Mourinho after Real Madrid confirmed that the Portuguese manager will leave the Bernabéu at the end of the season by mutual consent. Nothing now stands in the way of Chelsea and Mourinho formalising an agreement that was reached in principle months ago.

A clause in Mourinho's deal stipulated a penalty, thought to be in the region of €20m (£16.9m), in the event of one of the parties unilaterally breaking the contract. Roman Abramovich, Chelsea's owner, had told Mourinho that he would not pay and that any costs involved in getting out of his contract at Madrid were the coach's responsibility. Chelsea have been stung in the past having paid £13.5m to secure André Villas-Boas from Porto in the summer of 2011, only to sack him after 256 days in charge. Mourinho, too, wished to avoid the cost of departing.

The logical and least damaging solution was an agreement to terminate the contract by mutual consent and that is what Madrid communicated on Monday night. "We had a frank conversation, we analysed a number of things, and we took the decision that after three years it was time to end the relationship," Pérez said. "It is never nice when you have to leave but we thought it was the right decision."

Asked if either side was liable to pay any compensation, Pérez said: "No. Mourinho said that in a press conference and I reiterate it."

A lot of people saying he looks uncomfortable and at unease, others speculating last season has knocked his confidence some. I hope Ed asked a lot of questions when they met up.
I don't think it is unease or lack of confidence. I think he has a point to prove so we won't be seeing any special one press conferences or arrogance, he is just focused on his task. He was also passed up for this job previously because of how he acts so I think he is aware of that and showing a more humble side.

Rather he looks less smug and more at peace. Good thing or not, time will tell.

Jose is a Red, Red, Red!

He loves every second of it. :D

Also I laughed how there was music over Sir Bobby speaking with him.

Ed is loving it too, and loving it much. :D

I can exclusively reveal what Sir Bobby was saying to José as the music drowned out his words:

"As a United fan of 50000 years..."
