sarfraz was a decent batsmen i think? i had him in the previous draft and i remember he had a 90 or so. maybe he can come at 8. other than that a good lineup

Does a wicketkeeper always have to be a wicketkeeper? I mean, can Gilchrist just exchange gloves with someone else halfway through an innings?

he could but it will affect stuff like stumping and catches as those require reflexes.

Openers I don't know much about but stats are solid.

Class middle order. Amla's drives, Robin Smith's cuts and Viv's swagger

McCullum is one of the better WK picks

Kumble and Roberts are top picks no question. Snow sounds a great of his time and Nawaz started off the Pakistan reverse swing art. Alderman I had in the last draft is masterful in seam/swing conditions. As a young boy I saw him rip into England with one of the best individual bowling performances over a series. But he lacked pace and hostility which may be costly on flat tracks. He was like the Anderson of his day except Jimmy at least has some success in dry attritional conditions.

Like your opening pair. Both have solid records and at this stage of the draft.. good picks. Lovely middle order.. Amla and Richards, beautiful and your bowling attack is brilliant.

Quality opening partnership, Cullinan is a risky pick .. your middle order is solid and you have a GOAT in Chappell. Bowling attack has a lot of variety and you have Hadlee and Underwood who are legends in their fields of expertise.

How high could I push Gilchrist in the order? I've currently got him penciled in at 6

Looking at you team you can play Aravinda at 3, Inzy 4 and shuffle between Gilly and Amarnath at 5/6.

Motherfeck. EVERY single player I wanted is gone. Fecking Hell, Man!

Considered by Dennis Lillee & Andy Roberts as the best Indian batsman they bowled against.

This is a great tribute by Dravid on Vishy who was his idol:-

"So much has been said and written about GR Vishwanath that it is with some care that I even begin this exercise. Those who have played with and against him are in an ideal position to talk about his batting. I never had that privilege, but I was fortunate to experience Vishy's light touch at different stages of my career and it's a pleasure to recount some of the personal interactions.

When you are growing up in Karnataka with cricket on your mind it's difficult to think of Vishy as anything but an icon. In the backyard games of make-believe Test matches that I played with my brother it was always Vishy or Gavaskar who scored centuries. When I moved to more serious cricket, under-15s and then under-17s inevitably the managers of teams were people who had played with Vishy. You never went long without hearing of the little boy from Bangalore who took on the fiercest and the best in the world.

I was in the stands when Vishy played for India but then I was a distracted little boy and unfortunately I can't form a clear picture of him batting in a Test. Of course there are distinct recollections of how he handled bowlers in league cricket at a time when it really meant something 5000 people would turn up to watch a game played on matting.

What I remember vividly is going to keep wickets at the Karnataka Ranji nets when I was in the under-15s. It was Vishy's last Ranji season and it was such a thrill to be part of the training sessions. Even then, when I was just a little kid Vishy had such warmth and friendliness. It left a lasting impression. He was approachable, generous with his time and quick with humour to make you feel at home it typifies the man he is.

Over the years, when I've travelled abroad, especially to places like Australia I've bumped into some former cricketer who heard I was from Karnataka and asked, "Oh, from the land of the little man, how's he doing?" There's a genuineness to the friendship and huge respect that people feel for Vishy all around the world especially the way he played fast bowling – that has to be seen to be believed."

Every team has to have an AM from the next draft. Even if we have less teams, we would at least finish early. 10 teams is ideal, so 20 players.

AMs don't always make things faster. Sometimes if the AM doesn't feel comfortable posting the pick himself it takes even longer as he'll wait for his partner to come online and discuss together. Also if both are in the same time zone it doesn't really help, since that's the main problem we seem to be having.

The whole point of having an AM is to be in different time zones. Thats what we should do from next time. Its working well with me and Anant. We discuss our picks in advance. Even if there are 5 picks to go before we pick we have a list of 6 players to choose from. If one is away the other posts. Simple really.

Yeah if it's declared from the beginning it could work. E.g. reduce pick time limit to 4-6 hours and then leave it up to people to decide how to manage it?

Exactly. One person Asia/subcontinent/Aus paired with one person from the States/UK. There is a minimum 5 hour difference between the two zones. If we absolutely can't get an AM then that person can get 7 hours. If you have an AM then you get 5 hours.

Agree completely. It's very frustrating that we are still in drafting stage 10 days after the draft started. Even if we can form 5 or 6 pairs, we would be making this way faster

Just noticed you guys have three spinners, where we have one spinner friendly pitch. Interesting approach to the game.
One spinner is 12th man. We haven't picked a keeper yet. We wanted two recognized spinners for all three games no matter the pitch.

Still some good keepers left to be picked hope you find one.Three spinners in a team is not a bad approach especially in sub continent pitches.
