You have akram garner streak and bedi. That bowling attack need not be supplemented with an additional bowler.Wasim Akram and Heath Streak are very capable batsmen tbf. Even Reiffel has about 6 fifties.
Thanks Boycott.First thought seeing that line up: it's a long tail.
However that pace attack has quality. Two of the greats fronting up. Malinga was not the same in tests though he can I suppose be good when reverse swing comes into play and will be best used in short bursts. His slingy action and knee problems was not suited to bowling long spells. Morkel is more accustomed at being the support cast IMO. Mushtaq is a quality spinner.
Batsmen are all solid, aesthetically pleasing bar Dhoni . Though apart from Vaughan who had a real golden run in the early 2000s none of your batsmen were the key man on their side. They were mostly facilitators but quality ones at that so that balances out not having an out and out great.

My Team:
- David Boon
- Sunil Gavaskar
- Younis Khan
- Martin Crowe
- Carl Hooper
- Virat Kohli / Nurse
- Jeff Dujon
- Darren Gough
- Ryan Harris
- Shoaib Akhtar
- Murali
Thoughts?
He has played like for only 9 innings with an average of 44. So not particularly. He is primarily a #4 and his second best is the #5.Kohli at 6? Is he particularly great in that position?
Would play Kohli ahead of Hooper. My Team:

Why not have a bowler in place of Kohli? You batting looks the strongest.
@The Red Viper if you're up I can take your pick
Hope you have not counted Murali in that lotSee your point. Could swap them around if need be but I doubt it makes too much of a difference either way. The idea was basically to have Kohli and Hooper come in following that rock solid top 4 and thus allowing them to play their full range of shots with a good score behind them.
Don't think I need more bowlers (Not to mention I don't have a choice now!). Hooper can pitch in on the slow wickets but in general it's a bowling lineup full of wicket takers. Not a single bowler with a strike rate less than 55 in that lot. Don't think any other team can claim that?
Hope you have not counted Murali in that lot
Rounded off.
And I meant SR of more than 55!
The pitch was a batting paradise. Lloyd won the toss, and Richards batted like I had never seen anyone bat before, plundering an imperious 291. West Indies declared at 687 for 8, and Dennis and I survived 12 overs on the second evening. The bounce was true, and I was feeling good about my batting because I had been in good form all season. But little did we know that Whispering Death lay in wait for us.
Holding's feet hardly touched the ground as he ran in. He moved in silkily and his body swayed like a cobra's: it would have been magnificent had I been watching from the outside. But here I was more intent on watching the ball, moving back and across as Colin Cowdrey had taught me.
Holding was bowling with only one fielder in front of wicket at cover-point. He bowled, and I moved back and across. I saw that the ball was pitched up, so I moved forward, feet first, and then into the shot.
Before I knew it, the ball had smashed into my pad. Even though I was wearing state-of-the-art buckskin pads, the pain was so incredible that I thought I had been shot. A small explosion of whitening emanated from my pad and a loud appeal from the bowler and the fielders. Dickie Bird was not known to give too many lbws. But this time he had no choice: the ball would have broken the middle stump.
That opened the floodgates, and though Dennis scored a masterful 203 and helped us avoid the follow-on, we lost by 231 runs. Incredibly Roberts, who opened the bowling with Holding, returned with match figures of 1 for 139 to Holding's 14 for 149. The pitch had nothing in terms of movement, swing or extra bounce for the bowler, but Holding didn't need any assistance: six of his victims were bowled and two leg-before. He just kept coming back and bowling quicker and quicker, and stumps flew all over the place.

I'm a massive fan of your opening Bowling Attack. Swing, Pace, Bounce, Left-right combo is just magnificent. It does seem your tail is a little long. I know the likes of Streak and Akram can bat, but wouldn't it have helped to go after specialist batsmen rather than Batsmen who can bowl or vice versa ?
No, normally, the Keeper comes in at 7. Since yours is an opener, changes the dynamic somewhat. I don't dispute that Akram cannot bat, but in the context of an All time test draft, that is going to be the argument which is likely to be made against the likes of streak, Akram etc. Still lovely team though, very modern-ish batting and revered and legendary bowling. I like it.Akram and streak were genuine all rounders. Akram has 3 centuries and a 200 too. He can bat well enough. Streak and even Reiffel is a good batsman. Also Steve Waugh wrote in his autobiography that Paul Reiffel was in fact a very good batsman and should probably have batted higher the order.
Plus I don't think after 6, you have many genuine batsmen playing in tests these days. You generally have Jadeja/Ashwin for India, Broad for England and so on.
