He faced bouncers and all kinds of deliveries and dealt with them pretty well. He faced the same bowlers for 3 separate series of 5 matches each where he played them pretty well and then it turned out that he couldn't play bouncers? Unlikely.

Just reading about Qasim, and he was one incredibly underrated bowler. He bowled along side Abdul Qadir in the 70's and 80's and finished his career with a better record than Qadir. He has an incredible economy rate, enough to keep the best of them quiet. Wisden also did a piece on Alternate History where players were ranked according to the impact they make in matches (Min. 50 Matches) and he was the highest ranked Pakistani Spin bowler. Found this article interesting to read as well.
