I’m not on board with this move. We need a LB far more than we need a permacrock RB whose justification is getting the best out of Antony.

If it’s true he’s a homphobe, that has to be a hard no for that reason alone.

It's so typical of us as a club that after suffering a terrible season with a bucket load of injuries our grand plan to fix that is signing a RB with a terrible injury record.

It just looks like more negligence.

There was Reguilon for the 1st half of the season and Amrabat for some games at lb. Having Dalot as the only fit fullback was an issue. But we went into that season with the understanding that awb wasnt injury prone, we can call it bad luck. The difference here is we will knowingly go into the season with 3 injury prone fullbacks.
Reguilon was also injured for most of the time he was here, which was disappointing.

It's obviously not ideal but they don't have the money to go big and replace Shaw, not sure they want to anyway as Amass is coming through. At RB not too sure that's a stand out prospect, although we've just brought in that Australian lad.

There's no ideas signing or scenario, so we just have to hope fewer players are injured at the same time next season.

It was something like his national team mate refusing to wear a rainbow armband or rainbow jersey and him officially supporting it on Instagram with words like ‘God is on your side, brother’. And this at a club like Bayern, which has a very liberal fan base. His statements on Palestine were also not so uncontroversial at a club with Jewish roots.... Then he decided to play for his national team again far too quickly instead of properly recovering from his Covid infection. As a result, he was out for Bayern for a long time with an inflammation of the heart muscle. He also had frequent muscle injuries. All of this means that nobody will really miss him. He also came as a free transfer.

Shouting (ALL CAPS)
No he doesn't. He has a veto in his contract still but that doesn't mean he has final say.

Any signings we make we has to be one that ten Hag, Ashworth and co all agree on. I can't believe people are stupid enough to believe that INEOS have gone out to hire the best in class and have restructured the club just to follow the same old methods. Do you seriously believe Ashworth would've came here if he didn't have a say in transfers?
Did you even think or read what you just wrote? If Ten Hag has a veto he could simply say NO. Until INEOS put forward a suggestion that he agrees with. It now happens to be Zirkzee, De Ligt and Mazraoui that we've signed or trying to sign.

I can't believe you're STUPID enough to think that INEOS's transfer wish list started with Zirkzee, De Ligt and Mazraoui as the top targets.

Do the math and figure out how we got to this point. INEOS suggested a bunch of players, and Ten Hag used his veto. We're now going after the ones he ALLOWED INEOS to go for. The majority are still Dutch or players that have played for him or RVN previously. Like Branthwaite and Xavi Simons.

There is absolutely no way INEOS would have given him another year on those terms - their neck is on the line, it would have been easier to just get rid of him.

I think the truth is somewhere in-between.

Reign your neck in or feck off to another forum.

Can't believe you actually thought it would be clever to post something so full of tin hat conspiracy theories. Go outside and calm down.

Your post made more sense when I read it like it were a clickbait YouTube video.

If you are a day older than 15 this is just an embarrassing post.. Behave yourself

Yeah we're not signing a left back, unless we sell one of Malacia/Shaw. Simple a case of squad numbers/space. You cant have 3 leftbacks competing for one position, unless one of them is a utility player, capable of playing another position. That's why Branthwaite made sense, or even Mazraoui does.

So pining over a leftback and using that as a stick to bash this signing makes no sense. We are simply replacing AWB with a versatile RB.

Will the Glazers be very keen to sanction this purchase, given the political stance we must not mention?

Personally think he looks like another ETH old lag who won't cut it on the EPL. I'd rather keep AWB.

I believe it was the great William Butler Yates who once said:

If we can't back a fallback fullback,
With a knack for a too-slack track back,
And a lack of a tack for a cutback,
Then let's hijack a fullback who can attack,
Even if he's injured all the time.

Bloody rubbish at last lines, was Willy...

Ten Hags confirmed this himself in an interview, where he said he retains the veto as part of the contract extension.

Imagine thinking ETH is allowing INEOS which players to go for.

Aye, disappointing conduct. Wonder how The Rainbow Devils will react. As I recall, they were vocal opponents to Qatar's bid.

As for his anti-Israel outburst, NM did attempt a reconciliation, visiting synagogues and such.

Why are we keep shooting ourselves in the foot? If we signed him, out of 4 RB/LB three will be injury prone - Malacia, Shaw, Mazroui. Only Dalot can be trusted to stay fit. And we will be surprised next season when we have injury crisis again in defence. Rinse and repeat!

Next year, we have 4 competitions and could have more than 60 games. The games will come thick and fast. We have no chance with 3 injury prone RB/LB.

Underwhelming and not really a priority. Certainly not an obvious upgrade, with a poor injury record, and we need a left back far more.

Virtually every manager around technically has a veto. It was always extremely unlikely we'd try to strip that from ETH.

However it's also going to be quite unlikely he ever uses the veto, and if he does he will be expected to have a very good reason for it. If it's felt he's abusing that power, it'll be a big contributing factor to him being sacked.

He sounds delightful.

I don't think he'll play that much. Dalot is an everpresent and I think we will manage better at LB with Shaw/Malacia and potentially Amass in the mix too.

So he's an injury prone prick? Wonderful...

Soon a full XI of Dutch, Eredivisie or former Eredivisie players. Hope it works out otherwise the next manager will take some time to shift them.

That is very disappointing to hear.

Not acceptable. Whether its racism, misogyny, xenophobia or homophobia, as a football club United have to say no to players who embrace views of this kind.

Why though?
