I asked for one of them in green on facebook. They didn't get it.
 
I don't care about the union jack, but I'm offended that someone would spend money on Strabane merchandise regardless of political affiliation!
 
It's shocking that a minority of people can cause so much trouble for the rest.
 
Bunch of clowns. The majority of whom never knew the troubles. Don't know how lucky they are that they didn't.

You do know that he's saying that the republican 'stupidity' is also bigotry don't you?! If not, man you are an ignorant person who really should avoid any civil conversation like this.
 
I dare say the vast majority of these wankers who march neither know anyone who was involved in the battle of the boyne, nor anyone who was a victim of internment. So why run about showing your colours like it had any fecking thing to do with you? This country is a fecking shit hole. Personally I'd put everyone who claims to be either staunchly republican or uniniost on a deserted island and bomb the absolute fecking cnut out of it. Bastards the lot of them.

Nationalists were jailed simply because of their background. These people deserve to be remembered. Whether internment bonfires and the like is the way to do it (any of the ones up my end are nothing more than a drinking exercise) is another debate entirely.

I know what is internment, fella. Unlike most of the fecking assholes out there marching, I had family who were interned. You don't see me taking part in a silly fecking walk around the town in some wanker Dick measuring contest.

It wasn't the way I read it. As a Unionist myself I would also take umbrage at it being Republicans on one sense and unionists on the other rather than loyalists. Portrays all Unionism as bigoted in my opinion.

If that's how they want to remember the people who were interned without trial then that's up to them. Nobody is asking you to get involved with it like.

Given Gerry Adams history I don't think it's unfair to question what he says. As far as being sarcy goes it was in response to what I think was a reasonable stance and being called bitter for holding it. If what he meant was to say both sides were being stupid and bigoted then he was right. I still think a distinction was being made between the two sides.

feck them. Scum. Same as the wankers on the other side. Any excuse to glorify terrorism and incite more hatred and violence. The majority of decent people want feck all to do with that shite anymore, so the scum on both sides who do, can just feck off and leave the rest of us decent people alone. Dragging this country down and holding it back. That's all they're doing.
 
Parade and Bonfires on both sides are not only stupid but also a massive waste of tax payers money. Paying police to close off roads and inconveniencing road tax paying motorists so a load of bigots living in the past as march up and down playing shit music wearing shitty uniforms. Bonfires are an absolute disgrace, burning tyres, inciting hatred, structures so tall they break all health and safety regulations- not to mention the clean up costs being well into the thousandsand then some. Load of bullshit should all be banned.

I'm pretty sure that's at the bottom of Bonds Hill, across from the train station in the waterside, so at least they're not in a nationalist area there. Still amazes me that they can't see why nationalists wouldn't want them in their areas like. Look how bigoted they are.
 
Nice to see Irwin is a snide with other posters when they have a different opinion to his own. I don't feel singled out anymore.
