Nkunku | Chelsea player

There's no definitive right or wrong way of looking at this. Water both is and isn't wet. So, technically saying "water isn't technically wet" is wrong

There are definitive right and wrong answers and the way of looking at it is fairly simple.

None officially but Chelsea typically host a BCD friendly game before the new season starts.

Hmmm, I’ll rely on the news in the build up to start of the season then. Hopefully some photos of him doing somersaults in training.

Water is a liquid. Liquids make other things wet. (Sorry, I don't have a PHD in chemistry, so you might get me with an elaborated niche take. :wenger: )

"Water is wet" is ambiguous. In general, being wet means that a substance is saturated with a liquid.

Of course, the water itself does not have a layer of liquid adhering to it - it is the liquid.

Some argue that water isn't wet because it takes a liquid, while others would say that water is wet because water molecules adhere to each other.

No definitive right or wrong

They’re the fecking jammiest club about. It certainly won’t be the last time they benefit from it this season either.

Yep, can see the following:

Team news ahead of Arsenal V LIverpool

Arsenal will be without Saka, Rice, Martinelli, Timber and Odegaard for the visit of Liverpool this weekend. Thomas Partey and William Saliba are also doubts.

There are definitive answers. Water molecules aren't necessarily in a liquid state, you are making a fairly big mistake here by conflating water(a molecule) with one of its states(liquid). Water can also be a solid or a gas(water vapor). And water in its liquid state isn't saturated with water, it's just liquid water. A piece of cloth staturated or covered with water is wet. Now examples of wet water would be melting solid water or liquifying water vapour(aka wet vapour)

One might argue that wetness is a property experienced, rather than a fixed scientific state. So, water in its liquid state could be considered wet because it exhibits the characteristics we associate with wetness: it adheres to surfaces, it flows, and it can saturate other materials.

One could also say that Nkunku looks underwhelming

No, one cannot. You bloody hippy!

Twitter rumours say he could need an operation. If that’s true, he’ll be out for months.

Boehly is going to try and sign Neymar/Mbappe on loan now.

Meniscus injuries are horrible. He should rest it for 9-10 months and come back season after.

It has completely ruined my optimism for the new season. He was the big addition for us. Such a punch in the gut.

Devastated. :(

Looked to have formed great synergy with our other players already through preseason and was scoring goals. Massive, massive loss to the side.

I cannae believe it, like!

Is it the same knee that was injured last season when he missed several months?

I don't mean harm to any player, but this is so funny. They will continue having the same problem they've had for several years now - inability to score goals. And this after having spent >800m over the last two windows!

Jesus that's brutal a few days before the season after he's looked so good on their tour. Almost find myself having some sympathy for Chelsea, almost.

Nkunku injury big blow for us especially just before season opener against liverpool. Hope chukwuemeka step up to play in no. 10 role.Friendly Against dortmund he played well in no. 10 role.

Hope he will come back sooner fully fit. First five matches other than liverpool can be manageable without him. We played well against dortmund even after nkunku subbed off early. So hope is there.

Big blow for Pochettino. His chelsea team is bare thin, so he cant really afford to loose a player of his quality. Perhaps that is why Pochettino has been pushing the chelsea owners to sign four more players before the window closes. It will be a miracle if chelsea somehow makes a champion league spot if they don't address the lack of quality in depth in there team.

I don't buy this excuse of nkunku or burst. Yes he is quality and will be missed much but squad has enough to mount a challenge for champions league spot.

He will get four more players before window shut. I have faith in pochettino and he will make us play very good football and keep us in cl spot. But don't give him excuse even before season started.

Just at the time they look sorted up front, it's going to be a circus all over again.

Lack of depth isn't an issue when you aren't in European competitions. It's better to have a smaller squad in that scenario. Managing a big squad is far more difficult, but is required with big clubs as they usually are in Europe.
