Gaming Nintendo Switch

I'd like a third Country game from Retro. That would be pretty cool.
I must admit that I got bored of the Wii U DK game fairly quickly. Haven't played it for months, it just wasn't anywhere near as much fun as the SNES games.

I still haven't played it  If they do make a new one, then hopefully they do a pack with the first two in so I can play it on the Switch instead.

I played DKC 2 and 3 on the SNES a couple of months ago and they're still super fun

I actually didn't realise that there had been two further instalments of the DK Country series since 64. I see the overall reviews were good but not great. Maybe a 3D rather than a 2D version would be the better way to go next time round?

Anyone gonna buy Fifa 18? I know most of you probably have an xbox/playstation, but i would still like to try it out

If I get the Switch, I will get fifa on it rather than on the PS4.
Same.

I've pre ordered the Switch and amazon currently says it will arrive Jul 11 - 12 (praying it does).

Getting Mario Kart and Zelda when it arrives - then Arms and tetris at some point.

But for Fifa...will buy it on Switch over PS4. I might actually finish a season on career mode if I could play in bed / toilet !

I hope there is a bundle of Fifa 18 and Switch together at some point. Would probably be the only game i would care for, maybe even Mario Kart for fun, the rest is not for me.
You'd buy a console for just one (cross-platform) game? I know it's Nintendo but still...

In the beginning yes, then i would see. I would obviously play Fifa quite a lot, so it would be fine for me to play mostly Fifa and then maybe one or two other games

I haven't had a Fifa game since 2013's edition, so I think I'll get this one on the Switch. Still iffy on how good of an experience it'll actually be, but for someone who hasn't played a football game in so long it'll most likely be amazing.

I liked Nintendo's showing during e3 for the most-part. They've responded to criticism of the Pokémon Direct with assurance that a main game will be on the Switch. When they say it "may not be here for over a year" that's what I was expecting anyway. A November 2018 or February 2019 release is what I expect to see. Wouldn't be surprised to see some form of cross-play available or at least a new version of Bank where we can send our monsters over directly from a 3DS console. A bit unlike Nintendo to make these kind of announcements after the last couple of e3 shows where they only focus on the very near future (financial year releases ie. Up to March 2018 for this particular show). However, the Metroid, Kirby, and Yoshi games probably won't be available until the next e3 comes around.

Seems like a good line-up for the rest of the year though from what I can see:

June 16 - ARMS
July 21 - Splatoon 2
August 15 - Sonic Mania
August 29 - Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
September 22 - Pokkén Tournament DX
October 27 - Super Mario Oddessey

With Rocket League, Fifa 18, Xenoblade 2, Skyrim, Rayman Legends, and Dragonball Xenoverse 2 also releasing this year (probably some other notable games I'm missing too).

That's without touching the 3DS release schedule which is pretty good in its own right. I admit it's hard to find the drive to go back and play some 3DS games after using the Switch, but the market is definitely still there and it's great as a cheaper, more portable alternative. If I didn't have a Switch, I'd probably be buying 5-6 3DS games this year

Touching on 2018 a bit more, we could see all of these series get the Switch treatment:

Super Mario Maker
Smash Bros.
Kirby
Yoshi
Metroid
Pikmin
Pokémon

I am just about to buy the Switch with Zelda, Mario kart and splatoon 2 + preorder Fifa 18. What am i doing, hopefully it will be worth it

Well that changed quickly.

I bought the switch, I love it! I think it has the potential to be one of the best consoles ever, it's not all about firepower you know!

Really? I heard positive feedback so far. What do you dislike about it?
For me the learning curve is just too steep. Spent hours on it yesterday and couldn't even beat the training mode..

What is it with Nintendo appearing to chronically underestimate demand? The Nintendo Mini / SNES mini and Switch have all seemed to have had a nightmare in terms of availability.

My brother brought his switch up yesterday and I played Zelda. Holy shit I'm buying one at the weekend.

It does take some time to get used to! I'm liking it myself, but it was frustrating at first.

They seriously need to do some re-balancing though, and add a sensitivity setting for the motion controls. Both those aspects aren't brilliant. Luckily, like with MK8 and mostly Splatoon, they are good at tweaking so my fingers are crossed.

Got Zelda and Mario Kart delivered, waiting for the Switch to arrive mid July with Splatoon 2. Sucks that i have exams end of July/August, i want to play :(

I bought Arms yesterday and it's pleasantly surprisingly good.
