Gaming Nintendo 3DS vs PS Vita thread.

Yep, Bravely Default is one of my most-wanted games of the year, along with Pokémon and Watch_Dogs. Still waiting on a release date... But it's on the release schedule for this year. Really hoping we get the updated version of the game coming to Japan along with some kind of Limited Edition version.

Think i'm going to order me a PS Vita. Probably order it Monday evening as i'm out all day Monday and Shopto claim they'll get it me the next day via courier. Also found a 32GB memory card on Amazon for £40 which comes back in stock on 4th October so i'll be ordering one of those too.

Yeah, that's why i'm definitely getting it! The Vita itself is £154 with the 10 game voucher, 8GB memory card and 30 day PS Plus Trial.

It's shit like waiting nearly a year just for an announcement regarding Shin Megami Tensei IV for Europe that really annoys me that Nintendo were stupid enough to region-lock the 3DS.

Mind you, it's not like Atlus to keep Europe waiting, is it?

Yeah the region lock is annoying, about half of my DS games are US versions and if possible Ill always buy US when it comes to DS games. Though TBH one 2 or 3 of those didn't come out over here, I just prefer the boxes :p If I knew Japanese though I'd be really annoyed, especially since things like Terry's Wonderland doesn't seem like it'll come out over here.

Get PS Plus while you're at it, for the next 4 weeks you'll get Street Fighter X Tekken and Touch My Katamari and you can also grab yearly offers - Gravity Rush and Uncharted. You've missed a lot of great titles over the last few months though - Wipeout, Rayman Origins, Ninja Gaiden, Jak & Daxter Trilogy, Unit 13 and MGS HD Collection among others - but there's a lot more to come.

Absolute kick in the stones, I have family in the US too, so I got all my games through them, no tax, and almost all very early.

Picked up a Vita over the weekend thanks to a very good offer from Tesco (£149 for the 3G version with an 8GB card and 10 games). Already have playstation+ on the ps3 and downloaded a few games - street fighter being the best one so far! Seems like a nice bit of kit, but I'm a bit annoyed there's no Netflix in the UK. Looking forward to the remote play when the PS4 comes out.

Enjoy! Did you buy Vita games on PS+ prior to getting the system? You could have done it on PS3 or your PC.

There's a few PS3 games that can remote play, but it's shit. Hope the PS4 is much, much better.

It's a bit of a shame, although I do only have the Wifi version anyway. On the upside, the Vita (and generally) PS+ games in Europe are superior to those they get each month in the US.

Remote play for PS4 is shaping up very nicely, even more so if/when Vita TV comes to Europe.

I got the games through the Vita. So I can download the games via a PC or the PS3 and transfer them over?

Yeah I think remote play is shaping up to be pretty good with the PS4. I think all the games have to have remote play available, except ones that really can't. Saw a decent example of the new Assassins creed using it.

Going to pick up the 32gb card when it's available on Amazon - the 8gb one just doesn't cut it! I've only managed to install Street Fighter, Stealth Inc, Little big planet and gravity rush. Which of the current PS+ games are worth downloading then?

Uncharted!

Uncharted!

Yeah I did download that but deleted it to make space for the other games! I'll download it again when I get the bigger memory card. Wasn't the biggest fan of the Unchartered games in general though, that's why I thought I'd try the other ones first. Gravity Rush is pretty cool.

Yeah I've got an 8gb and a 16gb. Now the 32gb has come down to £40 I'll probably sell both of mine on Ebay and put it towards a 32.

Anyway, the games I'm currently playing on my Vita are Virtue's Last Reward, Persona 4 Golden, Wipeout, Spelunky, Stealth Inc and of course Killzone Mercenary. I'd recommend all of them.

Ok cheers. I've heard good things about Persona 4 Golden and Killzone. They're definitely on the list.

Oh, i also ordered the 32GB memory card from Amazon for £40 but it says they're temporarily out of stock and has no date for when they'll have some. Ah well, i can feck about with my 8GB one whilst i wait.

OK I am a bit of a Luddite where hand held consoles are concerned.
My 2 want a PS Vita for Christmas, are they any good or would a PSP 2 be better.

They are the same console. PS Vita is Sonys's 2nd handheld. So, some call it a PSP 2.

For Kids IMO a Nintendo 3DS would be better, but if thats what they want I am sure they will love it. Just be careful of price of the memory cards.

Cheers for that, I told you I knew nothing about hand helds.
There is a mega deal for £170 10 games and 8 gig memory card, is it a decent deal

Yep its an excellent deal. But all the games are via download and wont all fit on that 8gb mem card. But you can download and then delete as many times as you like

Just ordered my Vita. Should be here tomorrow!

Just had an email about delivery. They quoted my fecking billing address as the address they were going to deliver to. However, on their website under the order it states my current address as the one they will deliver to. I have no fecking idea where it'll turn up so i've sent support an email. Doubt the feckers will see it till tomorrow though and by then it'll be too late. cnuts.

Did you order it from Shopto? They take a picture of your package, eh... parcel, when it's dispatched, so you might be able to see the delivery address on the label.
